  1. I would assume that you only need to do mage area to be able to use the spell (Claws of Guthix)... not the mace. If you recall... you can weild any of the God staffs without doing the spells 100 times. You only are required to do the spells 100 times so that you can use them outside of the area.
  2. Is it just me or does the mace look like a mini version of the Iban staff?
  3. The whole world is almost full and there are j mods at the portal with riots. I'd say he is a legend. People will be talking about him for quite a while. He is no legend. Can't believe someone would use the term legend with such actions. Who cares if people talk about him. He isn't a legend. EDIT: Thats like saying I'm a Legend because some people at one point (or still do, who knows) thought I was famous on this very forum. Just because people talk about me doesn't make me a legend. Thats an insult to the true legends (not that it is a big deal anyways, but still). Guess I'm making a bigger deal out of the legend deal because of the passing of some well known players. Shiva, Old Knight, and theres at least one other person. Those are the true legends. Not the moron who likes to bug abuse.
  4. Legend? You call him a legend for breaking the rules? Granted Jagex was as fault as well, but no one held a gun to his head and told him to do what he did. This problem could've been avoided had the guy been a respectable player and just report the fault. Instead of trying to foolishly take advantage of it when he knew he was gonna get caught. So I say Legend...? Hardly... Just another moron that'll probably get banned...? Thats more like it... EDIT: Then we got people like the guy below me that just like to state the obvious. He is the type of person that needs to be completely closed off from any form of civilization.
  5. Well how the hell was I suppose to know you were joking? You didn't leave a single hint... For all I know you could've been dead serious. Plus I've been told I have a dry sense of humor anyways...
  6. Um... all you need is one Jagex Mod for that... Any Jagex Mod can one hit any NPC in the game. So I would imagine they could do the same for players.
  7. LMAO! Shock troopers? They should modify Bob the Jagex Cat and make him into Lord Bob Vader. *points to avatar*
  8. They should, but I highly doubt it. Doing a rollback will do more harm then good. Based on players own accounts of the ordeal... There were no where near enough players effected. It would have to be on a much larger scale (like 1/4th the server capacity) in order for a rollback to even be considered. I doubt even 1/32 of the server was even effected. Its just unrealistic to think that they would do such a thing. No matter how much of a backlash they get from the victims (and the players posing as victims). The only way I can see it happening is if they can get a log of all the players who died outside the portals. And then maybe they could modify just the individual accounts rather then doing a full scale server rollback. The down side to that is it might take so much time that they might not bother doing it.
  9. I agree. He is a loser anyways. Probably needs an ego boost cause from what I hear his RL sucks as well. Wondering why the sucker isn't in juvy for beating up that guy and fleeing the scene (like a chump/punk). Well... I hate to see players suffer from Jagex's blunders. If Jagex were to have done something to effect themselves, and themselves only... I would get much more amusement from it, but that just isn't the case. So while I'm not a representative of Jagex... and since they probably have yet to do it... I would like to apologize on their behalf. If the skill wasn't ready... it wasn't ready. With all the bugs surfacing.... This skill should have been on hold for at least another month. This is the one thing I preeched about when they had the mistake with their forums and what not. They need to improve their beta testing program. Even if that means hiring people that are just payed to play the game, to find faults. Its something that they NEED to do. Stuff like this shouldn't happen. And I hope Jagex are smart enough to realize that. They have a great product, but the way they produce their game and conduct business is horrible.
  10. Thats what it sounds like to me as well. Well... the keylogger part at least. No point in speculating how the logger was planted, he could've gotten it so many different ways (not all of which shed him in a negative light). I need to stop being so lazy and add my Signature again. Seems like I need to start pointing it out again. Edit: There it is... *Points to Sig*
  11. Welp... my rough math was pretty close. I figured someone would hit 99 in about 5 days. He is only about 500k away from 13 mill exp. So he could easily get it today (which would be about 5 days and some change). Congrats, soon that tea will be pointless. Proof for any possible nonbelievers: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=466 ... c&start=45 :P
  12. The planks being changed so that it costs nothing is something I could see. Whether Jagex will do it or not is the question. I think its weak that you literally are forced to spend money straight away to level a skill. The charges for adding the rooms is penalty enough. Wouldn't care so much about the unique items. The magic stones (or whatever they are) might need marked down, as well as maybe the gold leafs... but I don't feel I'm qualified to suggest a price. For the magic stones I would say at least put them at 500k each, but thats probably just me. Bug fixes are a given, so its pointless to even discuss them. I doubt room layouts will be changed... what would be nice though is if they bring out different designs to rooms to add variety. Or rooms that are bigger but cost more (since a lot of people seem to be complaining about the room cap).
  13. Wouldn't look at it that way... just misread it is all. And it was so long ago that you could've easily forgot. My memory doesn't serve me so well these days, so its a wonder how I could even remember it. Then again... I do find it easier to remember the more pointless things. Where as the more important things are harder to remember. :?
  14. Um, I don't think they specifically said that it would be released the next week... All I remember them saying was that due to the high demands of the players... it would be released at a later time. I would like to think Jagex learned their lesson about setting specific dates, at least. I would imagine that the May schedule was already planned out. So it was pushed back to either June (this month) or July. EDIT: http://news.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/r ... .ws?id=573 There is the explanation at the very bottom.
  15. Thank you. Couldn't of said it better myself. I can't believe how many topics have to be made about the GP sink, the bugs, and how expensive everything is. Its getting old already. Especially since the people making the topics probably aren't even competent enough to use the search button.
  16. Dunno why people still bother to bring it up. Its already been reported as a bug and is going to be fixed probably the next update. As well as two of the other already over discussed bugs.
  17. It really isn't a bad idea to wait until you hit a comfortable level before you really do any serious house designing. Best idea would to wait till you can at least make every type of room. That way you can lay out the rooms at least. Then when you get the specific item that you want... you can then add it as you get it. The main problem with the portal room specificly is... you would literally have to wait until you can get your portal of choice before you could perminitly use them... otherwise you would be wasting a couple hundred runes. Like... I would probably want the marble portal and the scrying pool... So I would have to wait until level 80 before I could get the specific items I would need (Thats an extra 30 levels from being able to add the room itself).
  18. Thats actually a nice feature, glad to see it in. You can easily create an overpass with that feature. I like it.
  19. Again, based on the KB itself... thats inaccurate. The description to the scrying pool is used to see what is going on at the loctations outside assigned portals. The scrying pool isn't a portal itself. That is straight from the KB.
  20. Fact is, money is probably still coming into the game. Granted, more money is probably going out then coming in... but once things settle down, it'll go back to the way it was before. Now, I'm not about to make any predictions like others have, but thats the way its always been. This skill already seems easy enough to train. Once people reach lvl 99 and then get their houses the way they want them... there wont be a money sink anymore. Its not exactly that hard to bring 1 mill into the game, given whether you have the skill levels. Which is another thing people neglect to take into consideration. So I would say construction will hardly have an effect on anything. This is all just temporary. EDIT: On a side note... All these people babbling on about the price dropping really just seem like they are indirectly price manipulating. I know the prices are dropping in a legit manner, but people don't have to over state the obvious. One thread was more then enough, so far I've seen three on this forum alone (counting this one).
  21. During the time of my first post.... it was more like 1 day. I'm not sure of the exact time the skill was released, but I'm sure that 36 hours had not even passed since its release. In about another 9 hours it would mark the 48 hours that have passed since its release. I could give a more exact prediction, but the sheer ignorance of how much money the top ranked player has prevents me from doing so. I think it is at least safe to say that someone could EASILY hit 99 within one week. And if not... its a lock for 2 weeks (again, given if people actually have the money to train). EDIT: Sorry it took so long to respond... my Internet Service Provider has been on the fritz as of late. One minute I have a connection, the next minute I have squat.
  22. Not only that, LK1, but he also quoted part of it himself. He just didn't read it.
  23. Nice vid. You click like a mad man. The rate people are leveling this skill is just amazing. Why they don't allow tears of guthix to be used right away is beyond me. Tears of Guthix doesn't even seem like a real effective way anyhow (especially with a butler as fast as that). I could only see people doing tears of guthix just to take a "small" break from the mad clicking. The way things are looking... someone will hit 99 in maybe about five days (or less) if they keep training at the rate they have been. And if they have enough money to continue training.
  24. There isn't 4 teleports. The centerpiece, based on the description, is what you use to assign teleports to the portals. Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats what the Knowledge Base is making me believe. As for the Portals... The three expensive ones would be obvious choices. If I were to have a POH... I would probably eventually make myself two portal rooms and have every teleport except for the lumbridge one. Varrock definitly seems like a must for anyone who really wants to train construction. The bank and the saw mill are in that area. The Watchtower teleport seems cheap. You're only really paying 100 teleports to have it. And since I've probably done well over 100 of any of those teleports... it would definitly pay off. I look at it this way. The runecrafters wouldn't have a problem adding any of these portals at all. That lectern is only used to make stone tablets. Its not an actual portal that gives infinite teleports.
