First Behind the Scenes article that has looked promising for quite some time... More interested in the engine changes/additions then anything, but it is nice to know that people will be able to finally sit. It all depends on how they add the chairs in, is what I worry about. Hate to drag out speculation, but it seems that maybe some of the changes to the engine that they didn't touch on have to do with adding bank space, adding POHs, and maybe even making summoning work (amoung other things that were on their list that they never added).

My opinion is slightly split on the subject... If someone dies at a place they probably shouldn't be... Yeah I would take the stuff and keep it. Call me greedy... but I feel if someone (a low level mind you) is using a crummy Halberd on a Black Demon... chances are they know they shouldn't be there to begin with. Same rule applies if someone is being a pest, stealing kills, talking trash, and so on. Now... the part I don't agree with is people coming to these forums bragging about it. And I don't agree with people literally trying to get someone to die. If they die out of their own stupidity... thats a different story. If they die with help... thats weak. Thats my take. Others will babble on about honor and karma. I go on common sense. And as long as you don't rub the loot in the person's face... karma shouldn't even apply (for those of you probably chomping at the bit to quote me there).

rude level 120's? and karma strikes again!
Y2g2003 replied to danman789's topic in General Discussion
To anyone suggesting that this doesn't involve karma... it does in an indirect way. Anyone who is an actual believer in karma... knows that what goes around comes around. So while nothing might have happened yet... something will eventually happen. Whether it is even something that is seen is besides the point, really. -
Shouldn't just report people because of what you think they're going to do, but rather you should wait until they attempt to do it... You're only going to get yourself banned if you keep reporting people wrongfully.

Any tips or tricks for a f2p mage pure?
Y2g2003 replied to connmaster123's topic in General Discussion
Well, what I did for mine when I first started off was make minds and airs (as already suggested). Then I use wind strikes on cows, since you can hide behide the fence. Set your attack style to defense, and if you have a staff use the auto cast as well (thats a given, but thought I'd say it anyways). Did all my crafting on my main and had a friend ship the stuff over, people claim that thats frownd upon now. So it might be harder. I dunno how much has changed with regards to the rules since I don't get on as often. Thats how I worked my pure at least. Right when I was about to work on RCing with that pure... it struck me that mining with such a bad level makes it almost pointless. So I dropped the idea of a pure mage and got myself a pure warrior. *shrugs* -
Tip.It Times Presents: The Exclusive ZEZIMA Interview!

Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I never had a problem with the actual person... His fans are what annoy me. I have a new found respect for him as a player. ...Still dislike some of his fans. Course the same thing can now be said about N0valyfe too, now. -
Its more then just the music, friend. The movie names names as well.

To Fix Autoing You Must Fix The Game
Y2g2003 replied to r2-pleasent's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Make a decent exp cap per day would be a better option if you ask me. Helps promote people going out and doing other things as well. That meaning... only allow individuals to gain a certain amount of exp in each skill. Not a total. So if someone reached their exp cap in mining... they could take what they mined and still smith it on that day. Once the cap is hit, just make the account unable to do anything that would gain exp in that skill. Obviously its not full proof, but that would probably be the best they could possibly come up with. Either way... it would be better for the community. -
Um? Jagex is doing a great job at banning autoers! look!
Y2g2003 replied to 0_Xp_In_Def's topic in General Discussion
That would be fine and well if people wouldn't be ignored. And I'm not about to pay them $5 a month just to post on their forums... just so I can be ignored. So I think I'll stay here on tip.it and voice my opinion as much as I please. Thank you very much. And for the record... I never once suggested I was cool. Nor do I complain to "look cool". My comments are usually legitimate concerns. Concerns that are continuously ignored. I feel if I go ignored, I have a right to state how I feel to anyone and everyone who will hear me out. You don't have to like that, you just have to deal with it. Just felt I had to reply to that, seeing as though that comment applies to me to some degree. EDIT: The higher level trees shouldn't have been made f2p to begin with. I could see why they might have wanted to do that, but firemaking is only useful on p2p for the most part. F2p wouldn't have died just chopping normal logs for woodcutting and firemaking. -
Lvl 100+ players are ALL selfish (funniest moment on page 7)
Y2g2003 replied to chris1216's topic in General Discussion
Waah. I have no sympathy for ignorant people or those who defend them. So whats your excuse? You are just oozing with ignorance. By no means was I coming to anyones defense. I simply said it was a bit much. As in... chill with the extreme flaming, otherwise you'll probably be getting a ban. Just because you think you might be more intelligent then others... doesn't give you a right to totally drive them into the ground. I know I might not have a whole hell of a lot of room to talk, but I don't think I ever lashed out like that... ever. It was just some friendly advice. Obviously your comments had to have been bad if it even bothered me, and I wasn't even being addressed until about your second post. And while you're at it... You say you have no sympathy for the ignorant? How can you not when you yourself are ignorant? Everyone who is less than 100 is a jealous noob. Don't brush with such a broad brush. You end up sounding like an idiot. I assume the above quote is what started this huge pointless exchange? Well... if it wasn't already obvious... "bigmoneyak"... you took what he said completely out of context. I know it was probably hard to pick up, it even confused me slightly at first... but he was indeed being sarcastic. Just let it go and drop it. You were wrong. EDIT: Not to make this so one sided... Yes... Sarcasm was slightly over used. So much so that it probably got confusing. The author was just annoyed with all the people just reading the topic title and not the actual contents of the first post (let alone the contents of the thread). Everything just got lost in translation and all the flaming is extremely pointless because half of you are probably attacking him for pointless reasons (or no reason at all). It was a misunderstanding due to the over use of sarcasm... so can we all just agree to disagree and let it go? I've never seen a pointless exchange like this since the time I got into an arguement with frogact... Which resulted in my getting pointlessly banned for replying to an Admins PM and they took it the wrong way. So ya know... I'm not trying to preach, just speaking from experience. Really hate to see any of yous get banned over something so silly. -

And you're a jerk for being narrow minded. So... whats your point? Fact is, the community can get down right annoying at times. I was harrassed as a lvl 101 and as a noob lvl 20. So of course I'm not going to want to be bothered sometimes. That doesn't make me a jerk. It makes you a jerk for thinking what you do though. I'm not quite clear what you're getting at with the last part of your post- but I will re-iterate. If you think that everyone is beneath you, you are a jerk. That's what my first post in this thread said, and I'll stand by it. Thats a mere assumption on your part. Just because I opt to set my chat to "off" or "friends" doesn't mean I think anyone is beneath me based on level and level alone. I strongly agree when people use the clicḫ̩̉̉ "We all start off as level 3s". Fact is, some of us just don't want to be bothered unless its by someone on our friends list. And even then... sometimes some of us just don't want to be bothered at all (even by the people on our friends list). Your statement is totally broken and pure ignorance once you think of it. Whether you think you're right or not... You're just plain out wrong. So yeah... that would make you the jerk. Its pretty sad because I actually had a little bit of respect for you. With a statement like that... My opinion has slightly changed about you. EDIT: RAHK... that last reply/flame post was really a bit much. -

...Even if they did do it to make autoers pay... The autoers would be paying just $5 a month and in return they would be making what? At least an extra couple of dollars (I hate to estimate, but I'd guess they'd make at least $10). EDIT: Didn't read the second page and now I see someone already touched on what I was getting at. The figure of $10 was just that it would be the figure that the macroer would hit 100% profit.

Both games are similar in a way. They should have just carried over what they learned from Castle Wars and applied it to Pest Control. As far as the claim that I just like to argue. Yeah, I do. But when I'm right... I'm right. And never am I completely wrong. And arguing is a rather harsh word. I like the term discuss/debate better.

Like saying that is gunna stop us?... To hard to resist.. Well I agree with the comment, but you could at least add more to the conversation instead of acting like a simple minded punk who thinks he is all big and bad. POMG!!!11 I r Rebel!!!111  As for the lock... yeah I would say thats pretty lucky. It took my close friend about 60 tries and it took myself about 30. Lucky for her it was after the Rouge's Den was released. So I bought her an entire inventory of picks for herself and loaded myself up with them as well. She didn't have a whole lot of luck at the pyramid either... -
I disagree to some extent. Jagex been going longer than these forums in the making. They i guess intitled to a few small mistakes. NOT all bugs and glitches can be caught before release, compilers etc that i use for a online game i work for , doesn't always show up everything before a release and some bugs simply don't show until the script is active in game. Bad planning? I think not at all from them. Nor do i feel they have to explain what went wrong. I think personally alot of users here are making a mountain out of a mole hill here over what happened. We all make mistakes and we only human! They are still i feel the most secure forums you can use. As a reminder to all, you welcome to talk about what happened within reason, but please do not show any screenshots from Jagex boards showing what happened You have a point, and I hate to argue with you Lightning, but if they had a finalized version of in game updates and actually play them through, there probably would be half as many problems as there are. Its just like testing games for Playstation or any computer game. I'm not suggesting they don't test at all... but they need to be doing it on a larger scale. Having one person test isn't going to work obviously. You get what is to be believed a final version (a beta if you will...). Then they test it and supply the developers with the bugs. Obviously some bugs will still be in, but not near as many as what Runescape gets. And the Pest Control deal was just horrible... And the scary thing is that they probably aren't done changing the game around. Whether the RSO forums are most secure... thats not really up for debate in my opinion.I'm sure there are more exploits that no one even knows about. And when someone gets mad at Jagex for making "bad" decisions... They'll seek out those exploits and use them again. As far as making a mountain out of a mole hill... Any form of security breech should be a cause for concern... or in this case a good ol' fashion roast.

Funny conversation with a not-so-smart higher lvl dude
Y2g2003 replied to meesa's topic in General Discussion
yup, I figure the same. My att and str are both within 2 lvls of each other. Is that bad? Wouldn't say either is exactly bad. Most people usually like the higher numbers every other hit... rather then a medium number and hitting constantly. The lvl 88 I would assume has weak attack, but he could've had a weak strength level instead. If I was a betting man though... I'd say his attack was lower. EDIT: On a side note, my Strength and Attack are pretty even as well. (83 Attack, 86 Strength) -

Probably had a real weak attack level with a higher strength level. I'm assuming your attack and strength are about the same? -
Hardly... even if I had members I wouldn't be going (I have a bad habit of missing parties anyways). So no... my opinion wouldn't be different. And I stand by what I said. If you were silly enough to post, you should be prepared for any "negative" comments.

as do i! thats a nice one. some of the examines are little jokes too... wahts the thing bout where u drop both halfs of a d-square to get a d-kite? i never heard that one. lol! and yeah ive never heard of that drop joke either... Wouldn't say its a joke, just a coincidence really... When you drop both halves on the ground or onto a table... It looks more like a Kite then a Square. It really isn't that big of a deal if you ask me. Especially since the origional Dragon Square on Classic looked more like a kite then a Square. The artists had to cut its bottom off to make it look like a square shield.

Really sounds like you're trying to form a cult that is anti-jagex when you try getting others to quit a game. Sure... I'll talk down about Jagex (for obvious reasons), but I'd never go around trying to tell others how to spend their money. You were foolish enough to spend 2 years playing, so it couldn't have been THAT bad... Being bitter isn't the way to go. And you're really coming off as bitter. Especially when you go on what could only be called a rant... claiming how the game pretty much made you a no lifer. Not to mention, as someone else said, you didn't warn anyone about the "new scam". :?

You obviously missed the point at what I was getting at. Which can can understand to a certain degree. I'll try and explain. They make mistakes in the game all the time. Pest Control is a prime example of this. Its just about damn time that they make a mistake that reflects how bad of a job they are doing. Its bad karma (sp?) in a sense, is what I'm getting at. I figured since there are a lot of people promoting karma on this forum that the mass majority would get it... guess I was wrong. Surprised it didn't happen sooner then this. They kept promoting the forums as the safest out there. That would have been the perfect time for someone to do something to shut them up (or prove them wrong). Exploits are bound to happen. And guess what? Its because of bad planning.
-
God I hope that question was rhetorical... Thats a pretty silly question if you ask me. How isn't it their fault?
-
lol... this is just great. Finally Jagex get burned by a mistake they made. Maybe they'll start pulling their heads out of their [wagon] and learn to not make mistakes (and actually test things). Tip.it had a similar problem a LONG time ago, as well as Runescape Community forums. There was a guy floating around who dubbed himself as "Bob Marley". He literally hacked Runescape Community and Tip.it Forums at least once (I think he might've hit tip.it twice). Either way... no one had Admin powers that I know of... but people could view every forum there was, even the hidden forum that Mods and Admins can only have access too. Even that ordeal isn't quite as bad as Jagex's fumble. Which makes it even more funny! EDIT: If these offenders don't get perm banned... I'll be surprised. Yeah... Jagex were stupid for making the mistake, but where some of you people get off thinking these offenders should get away with it is beyond me. I do commend them though for doing something I'd never be stupid enough to do.
