Jagex update: Fansites obsolete?
This is one of the reasons why I'm not impressed. This "knowledge base" (if you even wanna call it that) is nothing but a effort to keep people away from fan sites. If they actually gave a crap about customer support... this would have been out at LEAST a year ago. And yes, I know the knowledge base is just a beta, but it'll never come close to the information that the fan sites have. They implemented a bunch of things when they wanted to deter people from using Swift Switch... which I can understand why. Now their just trying to get rid of fan sites in general. And to be honest... they wont be able to unless they give all the info the fan sites have, and then some. And I don't think they'll be willing to do that.

Oookay! Jagex! WHAT?! WTF!!!
Erm, last time I checked, the balloons didn't just go POOF in the air. If a balloon does disappear, the item that was in the balloon (if there was one) goes back into the chest. SO that complaint seems pointless to me. Unless something was changed and not announced.

is this true (rule 2)?
Simple fix: Add a bounty hunting skill and add bulliten boards in banks and points of intrest. People who want others killed would have to pay the money up front. If someone accepts the mission they can track that person down and confront them. If they kill the person, they get the already posted reward... they fail, the mission/bounty remains and some other person can then choose that bounty or the person who just tried could go back and restart. No more worries about scamming then.

*Sniff*
*shrugs* I'm never a big fan of official forums for any game to begin with. The RS Official Forums are junk anyway in my opinion. The worst of the community dwells there for the most part. I'd rather hang around fan site forums where it probably isn't half as bad. And the terrible people that do lurk here are delt with rather quickly. I was actually banned from the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 forums for nearly the same reason I believe. I simply went out, found a fan site that allowed me to be myself... and I really couldn't be happier.

The Combat triangle=Unbalanced?
Try looking in the duel area lately? Wilderness? They're being used... If Mage get a special, things would really be unbalanced. Magers have everything they could ever need at their fingure tips. Its all a matter of getting the levels needed and getting the runes required. They can do more then Warriors and Rangers combined. And no one really seems to notice that.
-
The Combat triangle=Unbalanced?
Not only that, but the God spells lower stats as well. Thats more or less a special in itself. Mage doesn't need a special.

giant mole misused for the time being?
Bend? lol... thats a joke if I've ever herd one... Half the stuff Oergg listed there can be easily thieved from Master Gardeners. Now tell me... what would you rather do... thieve from a farmer that poses absolutely no threat or try killing a lvl 230 moles that is a lot harder in comparison. I would go with the farmer. Not suggesting that the tree seeds be more common, but the allotment seeds to to be the higher tier ones. It makes a huge joke out of a lvl 230 mole. The point of this mole seemed to be for farming. So if it isn't worthwhile killing, the update becomes totally pointless.
-
giant mole misused for the time being?
Um... an easy way would be thieveing or just chopping a tree. Chasing a lvl 230 mole around a dungen is far from easy, I would imagine. And for the crappy rewards its been giving... its hardly something anyone, in my opinion, should waste a great amount of time on. I would think people would have better chances of getting a tree seed from actually chopping wood then from this. The list needs tweaked if you ask me.

[Tip] Very good way to have money if hacked.
There only one little flaw... No one ever plans to get "hacked". And if you don't use the cannon, theres really no point in buying it.

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
*looks at tiles* Yeah, plenty of uses. Could think of a few more items aswell if you really wanted me to. lol, I'm sure they had a use until plans fell through. And tiles are openly available. Bird eggs, on the other hand, aren't. Clearly they have a plan on what they will be used for. You don't make an item so uncommon and not have a use for it (Maybe I should have been a bit more clear).

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
There isn't a new purpose for them. As much as I dislike Jagex, they don't just make items and not have a purpose for them. They'll obviously have the same purpose as they would they day they wer made. How they are implemented is a totally different subject. So no... they still are not new. And next time you suggest that I don't read posts... do it in a nicer way. Because your statement couldn't have been more false. Not only that... but nearly every other person after me said the EXACT same comment. And I don't see you spouting off at them. As far as your comments as far as a flame war go... maybe you shouldn't spout off like that. At no time did I say anything insulting toward you, up until you made an insult towards me. So its all on you.

Concerning DroolMAN...
Exactly. While I don't have any children myself... I'm at that age when its getting time to start a family... so I can see where Drollman is coming from. All these people who are trying to justify this rubbish just don't get it. They can't put themselves in Droolman's shoes. If it doesn't happen to them... they could give two craps about what happens to anyone else. So why they bother to come here is really beyond me. What I find funny is if the same thing would have happened to them... they would have came here squealing like a stuffed pig. Whereas Droolman came here and let his situation be known, and left it at that. Don't you just love how the weak minded work?

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
i hadnt noticed they were the gods - perhaps to be used in new herblore or you pet is a god-realted bird? Well its really unclear whether they would be God related. Its just a lot of people picked up on the fact that each available egg represents a certain God (which is mainly based on the trimming of the God armors). Green - Guthix Red - Zamorak Blue - Saradomin

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
Um, have you read any of my posts so far? Um, have you read your own posts so far? You called them NEW Bird eggs. And they are far from new. As far as speculating what they will be used for... thats pretty much old as well. Not to mention the fact that its pretty much pointless to spectulate their use. Old, old, old, and old. Can I be anymore clear, or do I have to spell it out to ya? Sorry, I wouldn't be half as rude if you weren't rude to me first. I hate little brats that spout off like that. These eggs aren't new, which was what I was pointing out. There was no need to spout off like a little child. EDIT: Not only that, but now I see you posted this in two forums... Do you like to spam like that or something?

The New Bird Egg (Everyone Just Tell Your Oppinion)
Old news. Only known types are Red, Blue, and Green (which are all colors of the Gods). I myself have had a blue one for quite some time now.

Runescape best online game ever???
If you think graphics make a game, you're not a true gamer. fine by me, i dont see myself as a true gamer anyway. I enjoy playing games with awsome graphics because they are so realistic. Just ignore him, he has no clue what he is talking about. If gaming wouldn't be about graphics, we would still be playing games on the 16-bit systems (like NES). Anyone who says gaming has absolutely nothing to do with graphics doesn't know what gaming is. I'm most definitly not a gamer and personally don't really care about graphics for the most part (as long as they're decent), but I at least know what a true gamer is. A true gamer is someone who will go the distance and invest their money into the best system they can possibly get. Whether that be a Next Gen console or a custom made Gaming PC. And by no means am I saying its all about graphics, but it most definitly is one of the biggest factors.

Concerning DroolMAN...
I think the point a lot of people are missing is his daughter's account was still banned because they thought it was a mule account, when it wasn't. So what makes you think that his main and his daughter's new account wont both get perm banned if they were to make a new account? They already gave his main two black marks. He gets one more mark and its a perm ban.

Runescape best online game ever???
I that case... you must be playing the game for like a day or something... Runescape is far from being the best. Infact, I would go as far as saying that there is no BEST game out there. They all have their down sides. Whether it be hacks, bots (macroers), scammers, bad customer support, bugs, and whatever else you can think of. And well... Runescape basically has all of the above that I just mentioned. Nothing against Jagex, other games have the same problems. But those problems take away from the game. Therefore they can't even be considered "the best". EDIT: I still say Knight online is a lot better, even if it isn't nearly as big as RS.

7 March 2006 - Canoeing, Zygomites and a Mole! (0's-O's)
Thats a pretty weak reward. You'd think that the lowest seed they would allow you to get from them are sweet corn or something. Onions off a lvl 230... thats weak. Well... at least it doesn't seem like you're having any problems killing them. Its still a pretty weak reward though.

Concerning DroolMAN...
Based on your logic... any person who has ever been given a free item should be banned. Fact is, that account is his daughter's not his. Some of you people just don't get it... and his daughter is what? 4 years old? Can bearly read or write? Breaking jagex's terms and condition rules? Seems that most of you here keep letting this pass you by easily. Heres an idea. Maybe you should read the entire post you quoted of mine... rather then take what I said out of context. You're just proving to myself and everyone else exactly how narrowminded some members of the community can be. As long as she had parental supervision (which she did)... She is NOT in the wrong. Get it through your thick skull.

The gazette write's another article on shiva. Tip.it Include
It was an interesting read, yes... but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with some parts of the article. I mean... the way she described us, as a community, was a bit odd to me. I mean... some of the things she was saying... she acted as though we weren't humans. I don't see how the online reaction to Shiva's death was that surprising. It should be expected in my opinion. Shiva was a good person. Obviously anyone who knew of him and had a bond with him on a certain level would be somewhat disturbed after finding out that he passed away. And the circumstances of which make it all the more shocking, and thats not even factoring in his age (which is yet another overwhelming fact). In a way I liked the article... but in a way, I would've just rather it not have been done at all. Some of the things I liked about it... while most of it I just wasn't comfortable reading. Which probably explains why some feel like they want to flame the author of the article. I wouldn't ever stoop to that level, but hey... some people are just plain ignorant. That not excluding the author either. I think there was a great deal of ignorance on her part, but I think she did attempt to put it as delicately as possible. It just simply made me uncomfortable though.

Raise the GP Cap on P2P to 100 Bil
Well... looks to me like people are becoming informed. I look at it this way. Jagex shouldn't bend over and give into people for the simple fact that they want more. There is a point where the line should be drawn. Fact is, and its been said countless times, there is way too much GP in the game to begin with. Obviously the cap is there for a reason. And its there for reasons that Jagex probably didn't even realize, but are for the good anyways. Point being... if there is a cap... items wont be able to be worth more then that cap for the simple fact that there is a cap. Rares shouldn't even be tradable in my opinion. So yous are lucky to even be able to trade them if you ask me. If you run into a price cap, then thats just tough luck. This cap is something that shouldn't be changed. And I don't see Jagex making a change just because a bunch of players want to buy and sell rares for insanely high prices. The items weren't brought in for that reason anyways (as others have already probably said). So why you think they would change the cap is beyond me. Go splurge a little and your problem is solved, until you hit the cap again. Rinse and repeat. Thats right... its that simple. EDIT: Incase I didn't make it clear... I don't see a silly system being implemented that allows more money into banks either. That would defeat the purpose of a price cap now wouldn't it?

Raise the GP Cap on P2P to 100 Bil
...or you could just spend about half the money you have and there ya go... Problem solved. Whats the point of increasing the GP cap when there is already too much GP in circulation to begin with? Not only that... but whats the point in increasing the cap when the people who want it increased don't seem to have any intentions of spending it at all? You're pretty much just asking for the cap to increase because you can't get anymore richer. And whoever used the skills thing as a counter arguement... I'm disappointed. Without skills... about 95% of the GP in circulation wouldn't even exist. I have absolutely nothing against merchants... but if you aren't gonna even spend 1/4 of the money you make... why even bother merchanting? Seriously... :?

Concerning DroolMAN...
Based on your logic... any person who has ever been given a free item should be banned. Fact is, that account is his daughter's not his. Some of you people just don't get it... Lets put it this way... Lets say you're going to the movies to see a Rated R movie, but you're only 16. You ask your parent to go with you to purchase the ticket so you can go see the movie. You go in, with your friends and have a blast. Based on what you just stated, in the quote above is that you shouldn't have been able to go in to see that movie, even though you had parental supervision (and permission) to see that movie. Sorry, but thats not how it works. If Droolman gave his daughter parental supervision in creating the account... that doesn't automatically make it his. Its his daughter's. And that wouldn't make her account a mule account either. The poor girl just simply wanted to play dress up on a game. She probably doesn't even know what the point of the game is. She just liked the material items that it had. Jagex has pretty much hit an all time low. And anyone who even tries to justify this ban is no better then Jagex themselves.

Concerning DroolMAN...
If you're part of their LAN... I'd imagine its a possibility. I really don't think you'd literally be a part of your schools LAN though... You'd basically need to be in a wireless network for that almost. If you have the same internet service provider... You could still be at risk, but not nearly as much. Your school could easily have Runescape blocked (you aren't suppose to be playing it in school anyhow). Most schools have flag systems that detect sites that shouldn't be accessed (adult sites, gaming sites, and things of that nature). Jagex probably uses a flag system that is similar to some systems in schools. EDIT: Just add on to the last paragraph... I have herd of at least one instance that two friends were banned on a game for having IP addresses so close to one another that it almost seemed as if they were in the same house, but that has to be a pretty rare case (and for all I know they could have simply been lieing anyhow). EDIT2: Aint it funny how just about a year ago there was nothing but "I've been hacked" topics. And now everyone is getting banned left and right for stupid things like this? Now not only do people have to worry about keyloggers, hoax e-mails, and things of that nature... but now everyone has to be worried about who plays RS in their household, and when they are playing it. Talk about pathetic...
