  1. And I can confirm the left skull half drop. Just got one myself.
  2. Who said summoning had to be Combat oriented anyhow? Why couldn't summoning be a skill that you could use to assist you in training skills? Not saying that it will definitely be like that, but it is a possibility. No, it is not a possibility, on the first real upcoming updates plan says: "Summoning spells - summon skeletons, demons, etc...!" So we ain't going to summon a pie :'( Lol... and that was posted when? About two or three years ago? Just because they claim it'll be used a certain way then doesn't mean it will be now. The idea is just a simple concept. At that time they hadn't even started coding it. Farming was suppose to be a part of POHs (along with Carpentry). Farming was then made a skill not even associated with POHs so that it could be brought out sooner. Carpentry had a name change and is now called Construction. So tell me... whos to say that summoning hasn't been changed to a non combat spell list? Paul already had made mention that they were having issues with the PKing Triangle as a result of summoning. Maybe its been changed.
  3. Makes sense, but if I were them... I would wait to see a drop in customers that the "uber update" could draw them back in, and then some. People are probably still caught up with Construction anyways. Still stick with summoning coming out, but I doubt it will be a huge draw like everyone is making it out to be. I am, however, still interested how it will work. The problem is that some people are acting like it will be a whole new skill, when it more then likely wont be (even more so if that is what they are referring to in the BTS).
  4. The Brewing Mini Game and the F2p update were going to be released the same day anyways. At least the way their schedule was going it seems that way. So I figure those two updates will be part of one of the normal updates scheduled for July (which would technically be two updates, not three). I'm curious as to when they'll be fitting in the Wilderness Tag Mini Game. I know they were tweaking it a bit, but you'd think it would've only been pushed back just a month. If I don't see it by September, I would assume that they scrapped the idea totally.
  5. Would be a nice way to conserve food either way. And not all the monsters are weak. They're weak to maybe a lvl 100, but not to someone thats like lvl 50. I think thats a point some people miss. If you could pit a Lesser against another Lesser... while you can still attack without getting hit. Thats a pretty decent advantage, even for someone who barely uses any food.

  7. i thought usual day for updates is tuesday... :-k As of late, yes. On average they've been getting updates out on Tuesdays, and I believe even a few were released on a Wednesday. Infact, I don't even recall when the last time an update was done on a Monday. I might have to look it up. EDIT: Seems like the Warriors Guild was done on a Monday, but I thought it was a Tuesday. *shrugs* You can look at the releases and see that not every update in June alone was done on a Monday. So anyone claiming updates only happen on Mondays are just flat out lieing.
  8. It would be overpowered if all the spells could be used in one big list. Mage was they only combat skill that really didn't have a lot of different strategies. All the spells do is add variety and make it less predictable.
  9. ...Reread the 2nd Paragraph of the current Behind the Scenes. They make mention of it.
  10. Bloodveld, you pick the most weirdest of things to debate over. They specifically said crossbows, what part of that is so hard to understand? The slender sword (or whatever its technical name is) will more then likely be part of a quest. Not saying it wont ever be a useable item, but they definitly are not referring to that in the Behind the Scenes.
  11. We don't. then why does everyone talk about it? :-k ow yea you all just want it that badly that u halucinate #-o Hardly... Its really the only logical explanation. So people jump to that conclusion. And to be honest... its the only thing that comes to mind for me as well. They hopefully wouldn't create a whole new spell list just to add more pointless spells. They've pretty much touched on everything except Summoning. I suggest you read the Behind the Scenes section again. Because they specifically said that the crossbows have been more or less neglected. And seeing as though we only have maybe three types of Crossbows in game... I think its safe to say that they mean crossbows.
  12. That quest isn't new. http://news.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/r ... .ws?id=553 Its been around since late February.
  13. AFKing has been against the rules for the longest time. Its not like its anything new. Its been a rule ever since I started playing the game back in December of 2002. It wont stop the morons from AFKing, but they more then likely will get banned eventually.
  14. The reason why I don't conisder it to be Roleplaying when you simply log in and do stuff online is because you're not playing a character, you're simply clicking and advancing levels to try to move up even further. The reason why playing D&D was Roleplaying is because you were forced to use your imagination, to see the landscape that was painted by your Dungeon Master and to see yourself hacking away at a Kobolds head. When your character is no longer you, meaning you have made it's own way of thinking, it's own moral standpoint on issues of the game, then it would be considered Roleplaying. Sorry, but thats the biggest load of crap I've ever herd. So you're saying D&D is Role Playing when RS isn't? Why? Because you have to "imagine" a landscape described by your Dungen Master? Please... The only reason why you don't have to imagine a landscape in RS is because one is already there for you. And anyone who personally connects themself with their runescape character has issues. You are playing as a character. Thus, it is Role Playing to at least a certain degree. If people can't see the quests as telling a story, then thats their problem really. You can't just say that something isn't a Role Playing game for the simple fact that it doesn't fully meet your expectations. On a side note D&D was well known for making the weak minded actually believe that they were someone who they weren't. So much so that it actually led to people getting killed.
  15. i played a free RP game... to subscribe we had to send a sotry about our future character... IT WAS FREE you don't have to pay for a RP game you just have to change it a little or add some stuff... Why you quoted that part is beyond me... Especially since it seems you were responding to a different comment that I made. My point was, RS was never billed as a Role Playing game. I've played the game for the longest time and am lucky if I've even seen someone trying to RP. And the number of players is so large now that you can't possibly change what RS is or has become. SWG was a mere example, and I'm by no means suggesting you have to pay a lot to RP. I'm just well aware that SWG costs more and opted to point it out.
  16. You're playing as a character doing things you would probably never do in real life otherwise... How is that not role playing? You just want the role playing to be at a higher degree. You can't expect there to be a whole lot of role playing to a game that is basically free to play (even with a membership). If you want a real, full blown, role playing game... go play Star Wars Galaxies or something that is of a higher age range. There is absolutely no way RS will become a full blown role playing game. Some people just can't be bothered with that stuff. And especially since it really is only an option and nothing else. I myself am not a fan of it, because I don't see how role players can be taken seriously... but hey... thats just me.
  17. All signs point to Summoning (or whatever its official name will be). I really think they could knock everyone's socks off with summoning, if they did it right. It could become a really fun skill to get the spells. Just seems to me that you'll almost have to do something in order to do the summoning spells. So why not be forced to kill the very monster you want to summon? Have the NPCs drop Magic scrolls and when read, you can use the spell. Obviously it would be limited to certain monsters, but I like that idea. Kill a Zombie to get a "Summon Zobie Scroll". And they could easily take it a step further by doing something similar to the Prayer Books... if they wanted to. Have the player place the pages in a Magic book, and have the book required to be weilded in order to cast the spells. Might conflict with the origional spell book, but there are probably ways of fixing that. Anyways... if the spells aren't summoning related... I would have to say that it would be some sort of teleport spell(s), a enchant spell, or something else not as useful.
  18. Y2Gay, that seems to be a universal insult no matter what game I play (think I might've even been called that at a poker table). Considering most people who throw out insults on this game are morons... I usually get the over used "Your momma" jokes. EDIT: Y2Geek would be another one, that slipped my mind.
  19. Not only that, but it doesn't even look like he answered your question properly anyways. You asked if Jagex Mods could trade with one another, and they were commenting on whether Jagex Mods and trade with other players. And their answer is slightly false anyways. Jagex Mods have been known to drop items from time to time. Back when the Dig Site Quest had a bug where no one could get the brush you needed for the third digging site... Somehow an individual was able to do the quest without the item being available in the game. Turned out a JMod dropped their brush and someone found it. So, based on what that query states... its extremely false. That brush was probably one of the most sought after things that day. And numerous players could have made a fortune off it.
  20. Guess Tears of Guthix is a requirement even though it wasn't listed as one? Sounds to me like you need to do the quest, so that Juna has your bowl in order to go in and collect the tears.
  21. Fact is, the guy was never your friend to begin with. He probably befriended you knowing that he would eventually scam you to begin with. Earn your trust to such a high degree that you would give him your most treasured items. You were easy prey that way. Some people try stunts like that within weeks of meeting someone... this guy seems like he'll probably grow up to be a pretty good conartist (if he isn't one already). This is why I never have given an item to anyone that I wouldn't be willing to lose. And most High end items I've given away (Dragon Legs and Spears come to mind) as gifts and not loans. Think I was only ever scammed once in RSC and that was for maybe 350k (which is chump change to me now). And it was to a similar scam as well. I just wasn't worked for 5 months... I was worked for maybe a day. My first and last mistake. All you can really do is learn from your mistakes. And RS has been full of scammers ever since I've been playing the game... So how thats a surprise to you is beyond me. You are over generalizing saying that the entire community are scammers.
  22. You don't exactly have to be "rich" to have a lot of Dragon Ammys... All you need is a decent combat lvl and a lot of good luck at the Fire Giants. It was nothing for me the average a half key drop at least every trip or every other trip. Then just simply find someone who will trade you a charged Dragon Ammy for a Dragon Stone. And now adays, I'd imagine some people would be smart enough to trade the full keys for the Ammys seeing as though there would be a possibility of profitting off it then. Its how I managed to get so many ammys at least. Think I was up to about 27 or so. EDIT: Oh... and games necklace is overall the best way. And if you have over 29 Ammys... then the Rouge's Den is a hop, skip, and a jump away after that. Can't comment on the House location, but I would have to say that its probably about the same distance away from the Guild.
  23. Put a Payless right next to a Footlocker and see which gets more business.
  24. No you don't. I was doing Barrow Runs before I stopped doing members and I never once had to pray against him or any of the other brothers. Depending on how accurate he was, I might've needed to use a shark or two, but other then that... he was nothing. Can't recall what I wore or anything, because that was almost a year ago, but if it was possible then... it is possible now. To the poster... Your combat skills are about the same as mine. Your Defense is slightly better, but your Attack and Strength are a little lower then mine (I only have like 2 combat levels on you). Your Prayer is about the same as mine and I think your Magic is pretty close to mine as well. I would consider maybe doing the Ice Spells from Desert Treasure. You probably wont want to because it might cost more, but thats what I was doing. And I needed absolutely no prayer pots because of it. And I was using very little Shark.
  25. Haven't seen or herd of any examples. I would imagine that not very many ideas would fit into Runescape. Offers and suggestions were probably submitted, but were declined because of such things. I doubt anyone would want to see a McDonalds in Fally Park... or things like that. I'm sure if someone were to design a weapon and have the rights to it... they could probably get a deal out of it with Jagex though.
