  1. You're missing the point. Playing the game in moderation is fine. There's nothing wrong with a bit of fun. Who decides what "moderation" is for each individual? You? You can't play 12 hours a day in moderation, mainly because you can't get much more extreme than that without killing yourself :l That'd leave 4 hours for "benefiting society" if you get 8 hours of sleep every night.
  2. You're missing the point. Playing the game in moderation is fine. There's nothing wrong with a bit of fun. If playing the game in moderation does something to benefit society, then that also means playing the game for extreme amounts of time also benefits society (though probably not that much). $6/month is constant regardless of how many hours you spend on the game.
  3. How does sailing alone around the UK benefit society? Now that's missing the point. We're talking about people using their disability as an excuse to play runescape. A quadriplegic can't really do anything to benefit society. I'll probably have someone quoting me saying "den thay r awaste of lief@@" Well they are, by your definition lol. And how does playing RuneScape contribute nothing to society? No, they aren't. You realize healthy people with potential to actually do well in life are wasting their only life playing a game? These are people that don't have a choice, they can't do what a normal human being can. Would you ask a man with no arms to build you a house? Anyway, how does playing runescape contribute to society? It's a game lol. It generates revenue for Jagex and creates social interactions/friendships.

A quadriplegic can't really do anything to benefit society. I'll probably have someone quoting me saying "den thay r awaste of lief@@" You should probably give us some clear guidelines/requirements for "benefiting society" then. Because right now, the woman that can only move her head is a waste of life by your standards. And how does playing RuneScape contribute nothing to society?
  5. How does sailing alone around the UK benefit society? How does spending time on RuneScape contribute nothing to society? Handicapped people don't need as much sympathy as everyone seems to think they do. It's been shown that a year after becoming maimed, they are at the same level of happiness before losing their abilities. A lot of them are even happier than before. Chances are those guys in that video are a lot happier than you are.
  6. That statement isn't very logical/reasonable. You can't use an outlier to generalize the rest of the population. Nuff. Those people can move more than just their head. Why do you keep missing the point :\

  8. Crazy how rare those slayer drops are! I think it'd be better if you could just buy a hexhunter bind for a high amount of tokens, along with a dungeoneering level requirement. Or Jagex could just try and re-balance the skill a little better such that there's a greater variety of "top" items in there.
  9. It's been shown that the majority of bullies immediately quit picking on a particular person as soon as that person starts retaliating, even with the smallest bit of resistance. They'd much rather pick on people who don't fight back at all.
  10. I think this is the correct term... can't remember, though :\ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attentional_bias
  11. Whatever gets him through the night I guess...
  12. The original figure was 60 hours a week, which you said wasn't contributing to society. That's "only" about 7 hours a day. That still leaves 8 hours for sleeping and 9 hours for "contributing to society." Idk where you pulled 18 hours a day from. Where did I say 60 hours a week? They contribute nothing to society, I'll probably get hate for saying this but they're a waste of human life.

  14. They contribute nothing to society, I'll probably get hate for saying this but they're a waste of human life. This is obviously just your opinion, but do you have any logic/reason to back it up?
  15. I've got a rough draft of a topic I was gonna make several weeks ago... Basically the more seriously you take RS, the more likely you are to be agitated/devastated when things don't go your way. If you only play RS like 1 hour per day max, then you probably won't care too much if something bad happens to you on the game, or you just become apathetic. More food for thought: Why do you consider learning guitar a more worthy achievement than RS levels? They're both equally "pointless" within the grand scheme of things.
  16. Did they ever consider "recovering" any of the the players going for 200M in all skills?
  17. So, is a hood pretty much mandatory in order to be the keyer? I'd like to learn how to key, but I still don't have a hood :\ Seen two hood drops before but other teammates claimed them first :(
  18. Will that be the case too when most of the supply of high end herbs comes from monster drops? You have got to remember that the herbs people mostly farm basically only came from farming(toad, snap and torstol), but now, there is a source that provides an equal or higher supply of those three herbs, cutting profits by atleast half, if not making it completely useless(seeing as you have to have juju farming potions to farm any herbs anyway). 5k drops of coal and 500 drops of raw sharks kill any chance those two skills had of making money(for reference, you can mine like 1k coal or 150 sharks in an hour). This is jagex basically saying: 'Oh f*** you, skillers' Or in more modern terms, 'Oh f*** you, botters' :P
  19. Damn, looks like it'll be a while before I'll be using one of those. Thanks for the feedback.
  20. Currently only 82 firemaking. Wondering what the minimum fm lvl is before I can "reliably" use the handcannon.
  21. Berserker prayer is combat boosts only. Where does it say this? It isn't specified anywhere, but it's true. I timed it myself while doing Habitat.
  22. So, I planted all my best fruit trees, normal trees, and a calquat before BXPW. Haven't logged in in over a week. What's the quickest way to check health for all of my trees? (I used every fruit tree patch, normal tree patch, and the calquat patch)
  23. Nooo! My minions!!! :o
  24. Don't forget the salve (e) :P
