  1. what's qh
  2. How do you get the booster to get you the free runes? And are ALL the runes free? Also: Also, consider not using ice since it makes it easier to arrange monsters.
  3. I've heard D2H is good too
  4. I predict ports will release t95 weapons. However a few weeks later, Nex will have t80 weapons that are somehow stronger than the ports weapons. Following that, a new boss will be released which drops t99
  5. You're reinforcing my point regarding why making PvM endgame is severely flawed (compared to PvP).
  6. Stop whining, you loser. Don't you know that cool people can not only afford to throw hundreds of hours of their life for one in game item, but more over that they actually enjoy doing this? Funny, because you are quoting the guy who sunk hundreds of hours into perfecting how to kill Jad on many different types of accounts in many different ways. All for one item also, technically. Not only did he do that to help other people, but he did it voluntarily (there was no in game requirement forcing him to do it several times), and because he found it fun, and because at that point in his life he could play quite a bit of Runescape (I believe he works 60-70 hours weekly now). I also believe he did that over the course of several years in aggregate, rather than being forced to do it in 5 month period continuously in order to obtain some item. So it's not even a relevant or accurate point. It is in no way comparable to Jagex's ridiculous insistence whereby everyone is forced to play several hundred hours on activities they don't particularly for, so that they can access top gear. Nice ad hominem derailment though. Don't make assumptions about other people when you don't know them. =D>
  7. When you start comparing working long hours in RL to achieve your goals to working long hours in a video game, that tells me something is very wrong with the video game.
  8. :wall: I came here to agree with Q, but point out that it feels like they're ruining a good idea by bringing it to an extreme, but this... You've somehow managed to get literally everything wrong. I am ranting about the low end of the game. That's literally all I've been doing for the last year or so. My entire stance is based on the fact that the game sucks before you max, when it doesn't have to. If I'm ranting about endgame bosses, it's because they're releasing those instead of looking at the sort of issues that would make it so unappealing for new players (In addition to the whole "lack of balance" thing). How much clearer do I have to be? You could clarify what low levels need. Besides reworks to entire skills/minigames (which are discussed pretty frequently on the HLF) and a new tutorial (also discussed a lot), I can't really think of any low level content that we need. All of the low level tiers are filled out, it's very easy to make enough money to support your buyable skills until you get into the 90s, xp rates are sufficiently fast, there are hundreds of low level quests. You're right in theory, but based on my experience that's not the case: http://forum.tip.it/topic/318853-observations-from-a-noob/?do=findComment&comment=5398214 (don't bump) I wrote that back in April so things could be different by now though (shrug)
  9. I either alch and make 20-50gp per or I sell them and make 50-150 per. Usually sell though. It's surprisingly easy to find buyers. Cool, thanks. And which pieces of jewelry do you do that for besides ruby bracelets?
  10. Everybody says they want hard PvM monsters, only to complain they're too hard to consistently profit from. Everybody says they want PvM profitability, only to complain they're too easy/boring/tedious. Nobody realizes that PvM difficulty and consistent profitability are mutually exclusive qualities.
  11. PvP (both safe and dangerous) was supposed to be endgame for 07. Sadly after 7 years of PvM as endgame, people still can't connect the dots to realize that PvM endgame just doesn't work. I had such high hopes for 07, oh well.
  12. How long would it take to max playing 1 hour a day? And how long would it take to buy max equipment playing 1 hour a day?
  13. Don't forget the opportunity cost of such endeavors. If I were to start pursuing max total or maxed equipment or anything, I would be sacrificing my real life income, fitness, and relationship goals in order to do so. As it's already been pointed out, the gap is growing quicker than I can reach it unless I dedicated a large portion of my time to RS. Edit: Thank you Hedgehog for proving my point. The defense rests, your honor. :D
  14. Do you just enchant + alch those or something?
  15. I'm with Alg. The only difference is, I did quit playing because the grind expectancy is ludicrous.

  17. Before I am able to provide any consultation, I must know how big Andrea's boobs are.
  18. If you don't mind, could you run me through what you'd do in a really fun night? I consider myself pretty introverted compared to my friends, and it seems like my friends who enjoy clubs the most are the most "alpha". The ones who lift the most and the ones who can command the most presence. I almost feel like a lot of people are "fighting" over having the most presence at clubs too. But maybe that's just me looking at it the wrong way. (And I don't just dislike clubs because I don't have presence, I am 6ft 1 and reasonably good looking) I'd love to get into the discussion about what people think makes them happy, sounds fascinating to me. Oh and would those fitness goals be gym related? If so what're your stats? Lol. If people don't mind, using Quyneax's suggestion, if they like going to clubs could they post why? What aspect do you enjoy? Meeting new people? Or just having a rave? Well when I go drinking with friends, I have the most fun at house parties because people are generally friendlier and more open to meeting new people. But when house parties aren't an option, there was a bar we'd always go to which was kind of a house-like bar with several different patios, rooms, floors, etc. Since my wingman and I are introverted nerds at heart, we'd basically get hammered and then go "raid" the "dungeon" (bar). We'd meet the most people just waiting in line to go to new rooms and stuff since that right there is something that everybody has in common. We never really danced or raved or anything. It was mostly just getting really drunk and trying to troll people and then becoming friends with the people who had good senses of humor and then getting them to join us for the rest of the night. Check my blog for my thoughts on what people think make them happy and how that usually works out for them: http://happysaint.wordpress.com/2013/05/13/red-pill-important-questions-to-ask-yourself/ Yeah my fitness goals were gym-related. My goal in college was to bench press double my bodyweight. The most I benched was 200 lbs whilst weighing 125 lbs. Close, but no cigar. :P
  19. Yes, most people have the wrong ideas about what makes them happy but that's a huge topic for another discussion. Regarding drinking/clubbing and happiness, that's probably one of my favorite activities to do with friends. Some of my fondest memories are from experiences shared w/ friends after an adventurous night out drinking. I remember back when fitness was my #1 priority and goal, there came a point where I wasn't going out and drinking with my friends because of the negative impact it would have on my fitness gains. But I realized that I was happier overall if I dedicated time to go out with friends and sacrifice a bit of my health, while still achieving my fitness goals, albeit at a bit slower pace. If you're going out and getting [bleep]ed up and not having fun when you do it, then yes, you're being an idiot. But if you're having the time of your life every time you go out, then by all means, keep enjoying it (in moderation hopefully). :D Also, as a super-introverted person who would spend damn-near all of his time in solitude if possible, going out and drinking is basically my way of keeping my social habits in check.
  20. Aren't you one of the ones that usually brings up unhealthy play styles or am I getting confused? ...It's been a long day. Unlike the comp cape, there's no real incentive for unhealthy play styles here, especially if only a very small minority are actually interested in this update. In other words, the players whom this update appeals to are already going to engage in unhealthy play styles regardless of if this update ever comes to fruition. Considering most of the hardcore grinders on this forum seem to oppose it, like I said, I really don't see this update affecting too many people.
  21. I don't see what the big fuss is about since it's completely optional.
  22. Q: Will there be a prestige level limit?Mod Jack: No. Well, not really. Assuming we only use a single int to track your prestiges, that would give a cap of 2,000,000,000 or so prestiges. Assuming you played 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, it would take you 180 million years to cap. I think at some point in the next 180 million years we'll have computers capable of increasing the cap. A NEW CHALLENGE ARISES
  23. The psychology of that experience is amusing :D
  24. It was the best because PvP was the endgame content and skillcapes weren't released yet. People underestimate the importance of pvp endgame. With pvm endgame, there's two options: 1. Bosses are farmable and people will complain about lack of challenge 2. Bosses are challenging and people will complain that they aren't farmable Pvm has been dominant for six years now and people still dont realize that "challenging" and "consistently profitable" are mutually exclusive boss qualities. With pvp, the more skilled you are, the more money you make. If you suck at pking and/or are too afraid to take risks, then you can go farm bosses or skill for less money per hour where there's less risk involved. There's also the fact that bosses are completely predictable and static, whereas other players are always using different equipment, combat styles, and tactics. When you're fighting the exact same opponent using the exact same strategy for hours on end, it gets pretty boring after a while. Rushing and pjing also hadn't grown out of control yet in 2006. Finally even if you were too afraid to risk your stuff, Castle Wars and Fight Pits were still a lot of fun even though they were just a big money sink.
