It's still possible, just not at the severe degree it was before. If you can't buy something at med, now you have the option to buy it over med, effectively going around any clan trying to hoard an item.

I pretty much only use SW cape for my tasks. 19m slayer exp and counting. I just like how it shaves a few seconds of me paying attention to my pray points.
