With adamant iii and no bonuses, it's 23 gp/xp (going by wiki prices, if not outdated), and 74-80 is roughly 900k, so I estimate 21M. If you pay attention and use the 10% bonus for crafting the correct item, it should cost about 10% less.

I'm not sure on the first question, but I may be of help on the others. I remember getting about 40k/hr for iron i ingots in the workshop. Since adamant iii is 5x the xp each, 200k/hr seems reasonable for completely afk. If you want to get the 10% bonus, you'll need to pay attention a little more. At the top of the screen (you won't be able to miss it), there will be an interface telling you which of the four items currently is yielding bonus xp. Sauk will also be yelling things about it, but that's not as relevant. There are also rewards in the workshop that are useful, such as increasing that bonus just a little, and random burst pipes that give you free xp for fixing. Yeah, I don't think I could sustain myself on a couple hours of sleep a day, particularly when the activity isn't very adrenaline-inducing. I mean most of grinding is just click click click without too many challenges or surprises. Maybe other people have a lot of caffeine or other methods that work for them though O.O.
