Well, it was nice to have a skill that was slower than the rest (especially for f2p, I suppose), because of the interesting variety it brought to the game. The xp for the F2P Runespan just seems very inflated. I don't know if they want F2P to score a bunch of points and then be convinced to buy members to trade them in for the prizes, but tripling the xp over very expensive methods and allowing it for free seems a little bizarre. Had it been 40% of the current xp, almost everyone who intended on training runecrafting still would have flocked there. Oh well-we'll see if it sticks.

All the low levels following around people with the cape begging to see the emote and saying "Wow that's awesome" and similar such comments might indicate otherwise to some people :unsure: .

^This. Right here. This is one of the biggest problems with training skills like RC (until yesterday, of course) and FM. It's not the grind so much as the isolation caused by the click heavy training methods. Personally, I'm looking forward to bonfires and I'm glad they chose to include F2P in this skill update as well. And a Cryptic Clue Fest for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Looks like it will be a good month. :thumbup: I never had much problem talking and rcing at the same time. However, there was never anyone willing to chat!

The current plan is siphon body esshounds with the 9-rune trick and siphon the occasional (worthwhile) nodes that appear. I suppose in 10 minutes we'll see if the nodes are any better.

I feel faint... Maybe they're planning some customisations to the wheel to make Yelps' pain even greater. There was a suggestion in the RSOF to convert the wheel into a torture rack/cross, so there's always potential for that. Personally I'm hoping for the 'fun' thing to be an army of runescape denizens battering Yelps and his wheel into oblivion never to be seen again, but this I fear is just a pipe dream. *Wields the Rune 2h I won the other day off SoF.* Yeah, watch out Yelps. :twisted:

The 60k/hr is gone. I would estimate it's 25k-30k if you farm body esshounds, switch to another essling while waiting a few seconds for it to respawn, and siphon any worthwhile nodes that happen to appear. It's kind of a shame that you accumulate thousands of essence with no use for it.

Oh yes, people will enjoy that. Pretend to be stranded and need 10k while you're at it!

For one thing, i think they're instanced. Just a map indicating possible locations of yellow mages might be helpful, but you really need only start at the center and ask the wizard for a hint.

I wasn't sure if it was worth it for F2P. It is 60k/hr, and it is free, but what convinced me was...

They bumped up FPF rewards by (about) 10%.

Does it seem standing closer works better for anyone else, resulting in fewer 1xp/0xps?

I believe it says all items in the shop are members only.

I do believe a Jmod agreed the bot nuke would be out before summer, but we'll see. My computer has a low fps, but not as low as some people, but also lag issues, in addition to crashing occasionally for no reason. Literally the game whitescreens (if on a browser) or disappears (on the official client).

Ah yes, perhaps! Never occurred to me. I was thinking that maybe when he started playing, he only got one piece of advice from some friend, who had played earlier: "never go north with anyone, they take you to wildy and kill you and take all your stuff!"
