    Today...

It seems more like the other way around - they seem to feel I'd just be bored there and whatever they would have me do is too low level.
  2. Hi BobbieK! Sorry to hear about your frustrations. To make a long story short, we have a very finite amount of time/resources these days and we do what we can, but unfortunately there are times when content and updates can pile up faster than we can get to it. For example, these days I'm more into learning more bosses so I can eventually write up guides for them. I will endeavor to help you out with some of your questions as I can though. With regard to urns, I believe they should be there and up-to-date. For example, a Divination urn or Farming urn should pop up under items if you do a search. I am not sure about your infernal urns - did you use a rune to activate them? Scattering ashes in your inventory does not fill infernal urns - the only way to fill them up is when you have the urns in your inventory as you kill creatures that drop them. And finally, to start filling a new urn when the old one is finished, the new one must be in your inventory. Urns in the bank can't fill up from skilling. New Varrock is an area in which a quest, Dimension of Disaster, and an affiliated task set take place. You can see our quest guide and New Varrock task guide for more information. The fragments can be constructed using Invention to make outfits that generally provide benefits in training that particular skill. For example, the shark suit (put together from three shark outfits) will give a chance to get double fish for catches, and the option of auto-consuming your fish. Here's one piece, for example. Memory shards are used for a distraction and diversion "Memorial to Guthix," from which you can get some passive buffs for Divination and other things. Click on your memory strands in your currency pouch to teleport to Orla and she can explain/take you through the tutorial. There's a bank chest at Lumbridge combat academy but you probably knew about that already. I am not sure if there are others that they added recently, but usually it's for convenience if it's near a new activity for which you need to bank. Ecto-tokens now reside in your currency pouch, yes. I'm not sure if any banked tokens were automatically placed there or not. As far as I know, the dragon platebody was always tied to Dragon Slayer rather than Monkey Madness, along with the rune platebody. The dragon chainbody doesn't have any quest requirements. What resources are you trying to get? Updating the drops for every monster would be a mammoth undertaking, but maybe I can suggest a few that would be helpful.

I'm being flown in next week for an interview at a company doing consulting. So I tried getting back in touch with the other company that didn't give me an internship because I was "overqualified" to see if they might have worked out a more permanent position as they were suggesting. I was told they were not able to accommodate my level of expertise at the moment. *facedesk*

Didn't get the job - second best candidate. Onto the next one. Sorry to hear that, but second best is still a pretty solid accomplishment.

It sounds like you have greater concern about the bike than your cousin... :P.

    Today...

So I have an interview to talk about my programming experience on Python and Matlab for a consulting company. I might just be doomed off the bat here...
  7. Very likely if you ask someone in the Grand Exchange for crafting assistance, they will be able to help you out. In the event you still can't find anyone, I'd be happy to assist you sometime - add "Arceuus" ingame. You might want to get a bunch of urns as they fill up rather quickly.
  8. It could be one of several things, for example the path system or a pinned achievement that wants you to teleport there using a certain method. If it would be possible for you to take and share a screenshot of your RS screen with that popup in it, that would probably be helpful to narrow it down.
  9. Sorry, I thought I'd posted on this thread but apparently not.. I didn't find any of the quests terribly difficult with the aid of a walkthrough, but I imagine they would take much longer if you didn't have that kind of help, especially if they involve mazes or things of that sort. As for the second question, oddly enough, I never tried killing rune dragons so I can't be of much help there...
  10. Welcome to the forums! Hope to see you in-game sometime.
  11. Yes, it would violate the rules. It's stated quite plainly: You may read here for further information.
  12. Oh wow, congratulations! I'm glad you got lucky - not all the drops are worth riches.

Sorry to hear that Saq. Is she at home with family then rather than a hospice? On maybe a lighter note, I may have a job interview where I present my research to a VP of this company...on Friday the 13th.
  14. Hi there, and welcome to the forums! If you're a new player, it can be a bit daunting to try and raise enough cash on a biweekly basis as you're competing with people who have a lot more experience and higher levels. So it might be better to use real money to purchase it, if that's affordable to you. In terms of in-game methods, some dailies like making vis wax in the runecrafting guild (requiring 50 Runecrafting) and buying supplies like many runes and broad arrowheads from Slayer masters, to resell them on to players via the Grand Exchange at a profit, can be fruitful. But again, these generally require you to have a healthy amount of start-up capital in order to use effectively.

I mean you could just arrange to have the money in the bank and not have these issues? Put aside some savings instead of spending every penny you get instantly, no?
  16. Yeah sorry to hear that, sounds like he was trolling you a bit. Hopefully he didn't mean anything malicious.
  17. It was a cosmetic item available during one of the promotions Jagex ran last year. I don't think there's currently any way of obtaining them, but keep an eye in the future as sometimes Jagex makes them available once again in future promotions.

Rent is throwing money out the window. With a mortgage payment, you are paying into owning a physical asset at the end of it. Of course there are additional costs such as property tax to consider (and maybe tax benefits, not sure), but all else being equal, you'd rather own your home after 20 years rather than renting once again for year 21, wouldn't you?
  19. I'm looking for a group willing to take me for ROTS and/or Raids, hopefully this weekend. For the moment I'm just interested in 1 kill and I haven't done either before, so I can try and fulfill whatever role is needed and doesn't require committing too much to memory. Feel free to message me any time on "Arceuus" in-game or message me on here - if I don't respond right away I'm likely afk in the lobby. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Got them now. May still be interested in kills for the future if anyone comes across this.
  20. You could try Kalphite King? It's usually either that or Nex, but Nex is more involved and requires gathering frozen key pieces to even get in there, and I don't know if you have the skill requirements and want to go through all that.

    SWIFTKIT irc

Hello, welcome to the forums! I'm moving your topic to the Swiftkit section and hopefully one of the people here will be able to help you.
  22. I'd say more like halfway between slayer mobs and bosses. They have some more complicated mechanics but aren't really a boss per se since there are lots of them hanging out in one area.
  23. Well actually, a ring of life is a little different. The ring of life teleports you away from danger if your life points are under 10%, but it doesn't save you if your life points go straight from say 20% to 0%.
  24. Actually, life refresh is to reset the cooldown on sign/portent of life and the Defence skillcape perk. What these items do is save you from death (once) if your life points hit zero, for example during a boss fight. However, once you use one, a 60 minute timer starts, and you can't benefit form them again until the 60 minutes runs out. The life refresh can be used to get rid of that timer. So all in all, it's probably best saved for bossing or other risky situations involving monsters. Hopefully that helps!
  25. You're right that getting a dragon mask is kind of expensive on the scale of things - and it's often not to easy to sell back without taking a loss. Do you have One of a Kind complete or are you close to it for the dragon rider amulet? Like all clues, you may get a reward that profits a lot, break even, or lose money if you get unlucky and roll junk. I would caution against going for it with the hope of getting a lot of loot though, as it's not guaranteed.
