Invention Batch 2 Launch Recovered from Double XP Weekend yet? Not so fast. Invention batch 2 launches today, so there's oodles still to sink your teeth into. Invention Batch 2 Make way, make way! Invention batch 2 has arrived, and with it, some eagerly awaited additions and tweaks to our youngest skill. Let's start with the big'un: machines. Brand new to Invention, these can be used to automate a selection of tasks slowly over time, even while you're offline. All you need to do is keep your generator topped up with divine charge. Talk about AFK. You can have up to six of these – including duplicates – and each has two tiers. Plus, you'll get your own workshop to tinker away in, which can be found in the new room at the back of the Invention Guild. Here's what's on the menu: The Alchemiser, which bestows your items with the gift of high alchemy, turning them to gold. The Auto Disassembler, which breaks down your items into useful parts and components. The Plank Maker, which turns your common or garden logs into beautiful planks. The Partial Potion Producer, which whizzes up your herbs and pops them into vials. It won't make a complete potion, but it's a welcome time saver. The Automatic Hide Tanner, which...yeah, you guessed it. It tans your hides to make leather. Salivating over your keyboard? There's more... We're also introducing 12 new devices, many of which fill the post-level-99 gap rather snugly. At the risk of further whetting your appetites, here's a sneak peek: The Separator, which removes gizmos from your equipment without damaging it (equipment must be at least level 15). The Divine-O-Matic, which harvests energy – and memories if you're so inclined – while you train Divination and turns them into Divine Charge, which you can use to power your shiny, new machines. Another thing: we've nabbed the Spring Cleaner and the Tight Springs from Treasure Hunter and added them to our growing device range. Both can be constructed at an Invention workbench – but first you've got to discover the blue prints! What else is there? Well, Invention batch 2 comes with a plethora of benefits for high level augmented items – including drain rate reductions and, at level 20, an increased chance of perk activation. Plus, we've had our ears on the ground, and we've taken on some of your suggestions and made some important QOL tweaks: We've removed inspiration. Gone. Finito! Augmentors are now tradeable. You can now hide the cogs on your augmented equipment (outside of PvP, anyway). We reworked the 120 Invention emote to make it harder, better, faster, stronger. Don't worry, it hasn't escaped our notice that all this is happening after Double XP Weekend. You'll still be able to get the 50% XP boost from blueprint discovery for the next two weeks. Patch Notes The patch notes for this week are on the lighter side as the team has collectively focused on delivering Invention batch 2. You can read them in the patch notes thread. Enjoy! We hope you enjoy your new playthings. Now go get tinkering! The RuneScape Team Live Streams This Week Each week we live stream Q&As, in-game events and more. Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Arceus replied to misterxman's topic in General Discussion
So, unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be getting a title, but... -
Can you include a picture of your setup? Depending on what size the interface is and other things, which slot is to the left of cape can vary, but with a picture I should be able to identify it. If on the off chance you mean the icon with the swirl type symbol in it, those refer to sigils which can be earned from an activity called Shattered Worlds. They convey some small benefits for doing certain kinds of Slayer, but you can read more about them on that page. Edit: appears there are a few more useful ones from Menaphos I was not first aware of. This page is a better reference.

Well then...assuming you weren't on the account on or around that time, it seems likely that someone either hijacked and sold the stuff or used it as an adbot to advertise their website. It's up to you, you try pestering them with tweets and emails trying to get them to check IP addresses and explain that it wasn't you. It may succeed or may not - I don't have any idea as to the chances, just that it has happened both ways in the past. The ban appeal Ammako mentioned says that they won't consider appeals for real world trading and doesn't allow any space for comments - again you can try but I'd assume an automated system just throws it into the trash anyway since yours indicates RWT.
-
It could be some sort of ban, though more likely it was locked for suspected hijacking by another party. I do suggest that you follow their instructions and access your message center through the website and have a look. If there's nothing there, maybe send a technical ticket and explain the issue to them (fill in the additional info box mainly)?

Is there any Runescape discord server?
Arceus replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in Help and Advice
I know various clans/groups have their own servers. I don't think there is an official one, but Tip.It may have one set up - you might check with the friends chat and ask if you're interested. -
You could perhaps try tweeting @JagexSupport and/or sending them a few emails. Often their automated system will just throw out appeals and it never makes it to a real person to have a look over it, which can improve your chances significantly if you can manage to flag them down. It's kind of a hit-or-miss thing though - often they just ignore or aren't that helpful.

You should just be able to talk to him again and then start the quest. Can you check your quest journal and make sure it's not checked as started (i.e. is it blue or red in the list)? And have you completed the prerequisite quest (Druidic Ritual) already? If not, that could be the issue.

Crystal Skillchompas & Tweaks The paths to skilling mastery are many, but when in doubt, add a rodent. This week brings an array of skillchompa-related updates – not least of all the introduction of crystal skillchompas, as discussed by Mod Timbo in last week’s Month Ahead live stream. Read on for full details of what’s new in RuneScape this week. Crystal Skillchompas The new tier of skillchompas can be found at the far side of the Isafdar Forest, on the coast just north of Tyras Camp (which is looking a touch lighter on trees than normal. Thanks Timbo). Catch them from level 97 Hunter and use them from 61 Divination, Fishing, Mining or Woodcutting to enjoy better-than-ever benefits in the relevant skill. Skillchompa Updates We’ve also made a bunch of improvements to the way that skillchompas work overall, making them all the more useful for your skill training: There is now a chance to catch multiple skillchompas at any Agility level, granting you XP for each skillchompa caught.Upon attaining certain Agility thresholds, the chance to catch multiple skillchompas reaches 100%.Skillchompas now work from your inventory, as well as while wielded.Box traps can now be placed during combat. You will now receive Invention tool XP on failing a skilling action when using skillchompas. Patch Notes There's plenty to see in this week's patch notes, with highlights for free players and Dungeoneering fans: Carapace and batwing armour can now be equipped and crafted by free players.Large dungeons can now be started by a party of 2 players. The Dungeoneering and Sinkholes maps will now stay open while playing, and will dynamically update as players move between rooms.Skilling plot icons for fishing, farming (plants and plot), mining, woodcutting, prayer altars and summoning obelisks will now appear on the minimap while Dungeoneering.See the patch notes for full details of what's arrived in game today. Get Skilling Have a great week, folks. See you in game! The RuneScape Team This Week’s Streams Each week we stream Q&As, in-game events and more. You could try making an RSOF thread, emailing [email protected], posting on Reddit perhaps..just some ideas, but you're right in that it can be hard to get their attention when you need something.
-
I'm moving your thread to Help & Advice where it's better suited. The formula Ammako linked is about the simplest you can get it - besides, it's not going to pose a significant challenge for whatever programming language will be cranking it through. As for copying RuneScape's skill ideas, that's more of an open question. RuneScape is protected by copyright and opinions will differ on how much one has to copy to be infringing upon that. You may well get a cease-and-desist order in the mail one day. You could try asking Jagex themselves - not sure if you would get an answer though. I really wouldn't recommend it unless you're prepared for the potential consequences.

Will there ever be a RuneScape live-action movie?
Arceus replied to Blaze The Movie Fan's topic in General Discussion
What are you talking about? There are a lot of stories in RuneScape. The majority of the quests in RuneScape are story-driven. There are also many series of quests that all share the same story. I think that's his point actually - in other words, there are so many different stories and threads that it's hard to pick one, specific one fundamental to the game. I don't know if it would ever happen (sponsored by Jagex), but maybe some fans or college students in a film-oriented major might try it sometime. You never know... -
Build the Beach | Dyed T92 Weapons Reyna's prepping for the release of the annual Lumbridge Crater Beach Party at the end of this month, and until then you can help her out and pick up some sand-tastic rewards. The Ninjas have also expanded the range of dyeable items, and there's a suitably sunny selection of wonders in the patch notes. Read on! Build the Beach How to Start Speak to Reyna in Lumbridge Crater Requirements None Reyna's tried to bring beach building into the Sixth Age with some innovative magical automation, but it's all gone a bit awry. She could really do with a hand. Gather sand as you skill and kill around Gielinor (with a better return from Mining or Construction), then hand it in to Reyna at the crater. You can also spread out the sand at the crater itself - just watch out for the magical anomalies running wild around the area! You can spread up to 500 sand per day, but there's no cap on gathering sand in the wider world. Speak to Reyna to claim your rewards, or do so via the Seasonal Events tab. You can unlock a new five-piece sand outfit – the perfect match for the sand cape from previous years (also available if you don't already own it). You can also earn the ring of sand, which will give you the beach body you've probably never dreamed of. You have until 23:59 UTC on 31st July to gather up sand, although the rewards will remain available until 23:59 UTC on 2nd August. Dyed Tier 92 Weapons & Patch Notes The Ninjas have made it possible to apply blood, shadow, Barrows and Third Age dyes to the tier 92 weapons from the Heart of Gielinor, giving the sartorially savvy adventurer new ways to slay in style. For full details of the updates released today, see the patch notes. Have Fun! The sun's shining in Gielinor, so get in game and bask in some 'Scaping glory. See you there!
