  1. Lol that vid is funny. So that's where 'book barrage' came from XD
  2. I disagree with anyone who thinks this is the slightest bit fair. If you're not born in the land of Jagex, look at it from our perspectives. Honestly, do you really think it's fair for people from across the world to pay thousand/s for a plane ticket to get a holiday/event item? I don't think so. It's not only unfair, but it's also a contradiction to their own rules - by paying for a real life item in exchange for an in-game item. I don't know about you, but Jagex has let me down on this matter.
  3. Glad the dungeoneering rewards token req. were lowered for all items. Was looking forward to the Slayer update till I realized there were no new slayer monsters :( since I use Kuradal a lot and I don't do fight caves, it's a pointless update for me, as there's already a task for doing fight caves and fighting Jad, so I don't understand why Jagex would do challenge for the fight caves - it's doubling up on what they've already done... what if people like me can't and won't kill Jad too? I do like the slayer challenge for the 'slayer tower run' XD I can do that, but why should I go to a lower level slayer master just to do that task? Needs a rework I think. Maybe you could ask to change the fight caves slayer challenge to a lower slayer challenge? Just my thought on it.
  4. People keep talking about a 2nd batch, has this been confirmed by Jagex? If so, sweet :P My guess is someone getting 99 within 3 weeks from now, and level 120, I'd say in at least 8 months.
  5. Promethium Dagger. Couldn't find the herb I needed to poison it in the dungeon I was in so had to bind it without poison :(
  6. Being as this is all a matter of opinion, here is mine. I do agree with the idea of the last 3 skills not coming out as they should have. Summoning cost something like 500M first day it came out and there were hardly any good familiars. It is pretty much the complete opposite now and I myself will soon have level 96 in it, 99 *hopefully* by the end of this year. I don't really remember construction much and hunter, well, the only reward I wanted then was the spottier cape, and to this day I haven't trained it past 77 because everyone hogs the red chinchompa spots - and no I'm not going to put flowers down and do everything I can to steal a spot either, it's quite rude and I don't want to end up down that path just for the best training method. I will have to find an alternative training method, maybe up to the level where I can catch those ruby harvest barehandedly? I think I'll do that. As far as Dungeoneering is concerned. When I was reading through the update and came across the "After adventuring (with a group of up to 4 other players)" I thought WTF? Skills shouldn't be team based to gain faster experience. In fact it should be slower, because you're using their skills as well. People should be rewarded for doing things solo, but like I say, that's a matter of opinion. I think the rewards are very good, albeit somewhat half baked, I'm sure with updates there will be more, as I can't see what else right now people will get after they have all chaotic weapons/shields other than level 99, or indeed 120. I can only hope they do what they did with Summoning, whereby giving the skill another update to give more incentives to train it further. For me all I want is the gem bag, bonecrusher and chaotic longsword. The exp, well... Personally, I don't see myself training it any further until there is a reasonable exp rate. Many people say it gets easier with higher levels, yes, maybe, but I still don't see each dungeon giving say 5,000 exp something to 'yay' about. I do think it needs a lot of improving, but it has potential. Until then, I'm contuining with other skills (like people suggest when you don't like a skill lol). Good luck to whoever gets it to 99 and 120.
  7. I'm always fighting but the last time I died by accident was when I was about 83 combat (now 137) and it was from that bat guy in the desert treasure quest. Other than that the only times I die are in minigames XD if I was a pker, I'd probably be classed as a "Safer noob" lol :) I'm always checking my HP (or LP for that matter) so it's never a problem. Also I don't do bosses, I'm too chicken.
  8. This is the video that inspired me to go for 99 Slayer (got it about 2 years ago) forgot to tell people about the vid that inspired me XD but yeah it's pretty epic. I just imagined myself as the guy pwning those monsters in it and it worked haha. The character from Prince of Persia even used a whip :o
  9. Hmm basics... <> Whip, Black mask, best platebody+legs you prefer to wear, best 'recipe for disaster' gloves you can wear, rune/d boots, rune defender, glory, 99 cape/obby cape <> 100-1k food, usually monkfish or higher is best. I've always used monkfish even going for 99 slayer as it costs a lot less than shark and heals 160 lifepoints <> Bunyip when you can - for heals/any familiar you feel will help <> Runes for teleports/alching <> Super atk+str pots, and super def if you want, I don't really buy super def though. Does help but I find I make bank trips for my drops too often anyway XD
  10. If you can use a cannon, go for it, it's extremely fast :) basically good ranged/melee defence set up is best
  11. Slayer helm, Whip, bandos chestplate/fighter torso, bandos tassets/d legs, rune defender or a good shield - depends on whether you want to hit them faster or get hit less, barrow gloves, d boots, fury/glory, fire cape/99 cape. Also if you don't have a dragonfire shield (if you choose to go for a shield that is) a good alternative is a granite shield for its ranged defence, as you will be getting hit a lot with ranged attacks as well as melee from the level 92's. Or obby shield even =D Alternatively, you can kill the dagannoths in chaos tunnels for even greater exp and drops (circular hides are at least 20k last I checked) + nice crimson charms. You will have to use prayer though, so about 10 p pots and switch your chest and legs to prosylete/initiate plate+legs. Always used super atk+str pots also :)
  12. Dungeoneering atm, other than that, Runecrafting would be a close 2nd for me
  13. Attack - 65M exp in it atm
  14. Only if it's 3k or more (you can tell by how big the coin drop is)
  15. I just did the holiday event to get the item, I don't find them fun at all really :( I personally think Jagex could improve on the holiday events. Like this easter event for example, could have given any players that were in this years easter event, access to the machinery downstairs to create their own chocolate dust in mass quantities. Sort of like the 'manage thy kingdom' minigame. You could sort out the chocolate eggs from the junk, process them and crush them yourself, or, pay workers to do it all for you. You could collect your chocolate dust whenever it is ready. I think improivng holiday events that give long-term rewards like this would significantly increase the players fun AND involvement in them.
  16. Yes but Jagex made it that way so it's fair to everyone. Otherwise people could just make accounts and give them everything needed to complete their goals with. Most including level 3's with Slayer Capes for example, yet this is flawed as there is now Soul Wars anyway. There isn't a way to give someone something free, but like I said, lending is only viable option, and consider this problem resolved :)
  17. You can always use the lend feature, and borrow a dragon axe to do your woodcutting.
  18. It's against the runescape rules mate. You could always borrow a dragon axe from someone on your other account. Other than that, you're not allowed to transfer items to any account.
  19. I'd work in the concept area for minigames, skills, suggestions and improvements etc.
  20. I'm assuming they'll do some skill hoax, like they did with the cabbage skill lol =l
  21. Merry Christmas :P loving these smilies \
  22. Nothing coz i'd never sell it. I think you should get a money bonus if/when you get 100M exp though, like 10M or something for all the work you put in.
  23. Looks horrible, looks like our arms get dislocated -.-
  24. Coz 200M not only looks cool but it's a lot of exp, 100M just doesn't seem right :P and 1B exp in 1 skill is insanity.
