  1. Yeah I wouldn't kill dark beasts without prayer, they attack very often despite how much defence you may have. People have tried guthan on them without prayer and it works sort of 50/50, you still have very scary moments though when they constantly hit you in a row, and the repairs, well, you might as well use prayer pots and kill them faster with a whip than a guthan spear.
  2. I don't care about who is famous either. To me fame is overrated. You might look up to someone then when you meet them, you find out they're mean and obnoxious. It's happened to quite a few 'famous' people that I've met, and I really don't like them anymore, in fact some I've put on my ignore list because of their attitude.
  3. Although I have full void, I don't use it because I can hit better wearing normal gear :( maybe the void knight quest series will improve it though :o I can only hope.

Dungeoneering, as I don't have plans to train it properly until there's something promising in dung batch 2 which would require me to train it.
  6. I forgot behind the scenes had gone, but woot, I love seeing what's in store for the entire month, it gets me prepared for things and allows me to plan what skills I wanna train. Hmm the court cases sound cool, but it also gives me the impression it's another one of those small things that you do once and forget about in a month. Hopefully I'm wrong on this. The void knight quests sound epic, I'm glad they finally have a storyline. For years it seemed pest control was something forever forgotten in Jagex HQ. I'm looking forward to this month.
  7. Yup, what they said, pray mage before the 360 appears. It's much harder to avoid the 360's attacks unless you have pro mage on beforehand
  8. I've tried the dark bow out quite a lot and to be perfectly frank, it's only good for 1) outfits and 2) pking with its ko-potential spec with dragon arrows. I'd stick to rune crossbow and broad bolts for ranging. D2H pretty much has the same overall uselessness, although it has a high strength bonus, unless you like godswords and its slow attack rate, I'd only really recommend D2H for things like pest control where a whole group of monsters can be stuck, earning a big chunk of exp. For me personally the only slow weapon I'd ever want to wield is a godsword, as its huge attack and strength bonus makes up for its slow speed, even then it's not enough for me to purchase one again. I'd stick to a whip or d scimmy.
  9. Decide what you think a future update may come out for. For me when I quit, I made 12M by buying thousands and thousands of air talismans at around 500gp each, they rose to 3.5k each and I sold em when I came back XD but yeah definitely invest in something YOU truly feel will rise in price one day :)
  10. A thread in which 'hand' your bow is held? o_O I would think the 'angle' a bow is held, would be more reason for debate or discussion rather than which hand a weapon should be in. Though they have probably fixed that by now, I wouldn't know as I don't range much XD
  11. I've tried so many times with Jad, but since I can't multi task and the fact that you literally have a 50/50 chance of getting the right prayer when you get to Jad is just annoying tbh. I could listen to pixels (rs sounds) but it would only confuse me even more, trying to distinguish which monster is using what attack etc. My last attempt was when my brother tripped over the computer cord, shutting down the entire computer. so I took it as a sign that I wasn't meant to have a fire cape :( it's all good though, I wear my slayer cape over all 99 capes anyway so even if I had a fire cape I'd probably want to wear my slayer cape. Until we only have to fight Jad, I ain't trying ever again, it's 2+ hours for a 50/50 chance of being able to attack Jad right first time without dying the moment you see him, there's too much stuff you have to think about, i.e. mage/range protect prayer, drinking sara brew/super restores, switching gear if needed, making sure you get all the healers, errrg, RAGEQUIT@@@ :)
  12. I think it'll happen eventually, but if jagex thinks we'll all have to get 104M exp or even 200M exp in all skills for maxed total level they have another thing coming XD 1 skill requiring level 120 is already too much for maxed total level.
  13. Man that was loud  a warning next time would be great, thanks #-o
  14. I'd be scared too if I were on the content team and were asked to be in a video on their already busy schedule. I'm sure making a video for the players' was the last thing on their minds. I personally think the penguin hide and seek activity is hilarious, seeing penguins going around in bushes etc. reminds me of that madagascar movie with the penguins wanting to achieve world domination, of course the humans being completely oblivious to the cute creatures. The've also helped me gain level 51 dungeoneering without having to train it properly in daemonheim  I never knew the content team came up with literally everything. I was hoping I might move over to Jagex land to become one but then they talked about scripting and programming errrg, I can't program and it bores me lol so there goes my chances of joining their team. Oh well, great vid, hope they bring out more =D
  15. Hmmm I haven't witnessed any botters at falcons, but I'd say the green dragon botters in the chaos tunnels are more of a concern. Not only do they all seem to wear the same gear, they never speak (a coincidence when there's 20+ players there? I think not), and they're making tons of money effortlessly. It would be great to have a J mod on each world which looking out for botters, though I'm not sure it would be in their interest, or whether there would be enough J mods to do it. I remember the last few days of the flax bots, Jagex turned up and went deleting them, it was probably one of the highlights of my RS life.
  16. Hmmm I don't farm much so I have no opinion on that skill, but I agree, Slayer has become a very popular skill these days. I've seen more slayer capes than ever before, and I certainly hope for level 95, 97 and 99 creatures one day. If I worked for Jagex when they were planning on the Slayer skill, I would probably have given Slayer great power in the combat triangle, with levels giving you the ability to obtain items like hilts and modifiers which could be attached to slayer weapons in order to attack faster, hit more accurately etc. this way the skill would be even more enticing. I'd also give it the power to increase your combat level by a maximum of 12 levels. Being it plays more of a combat role than pouchcrafting (summoning) where slayer requires 100,000+ monster kills (unless you soul wars it all), and pouchcrafting requiring about 40,000 waterfiends. Yet the lesser of the two gives combat levels, it doesn't make sense to me. I personally would have made Slayer more of a combat role with faster attack rates etc. as a reward for the many monster kills. I agree with you about the dungeoneering skill failing XD I'm a combat fanatic myself, and I'm training it with genie lamps / tears of guthix / penguin points because it is so mind-boggling and annoying to level. But anyways... getting on topic =D I've always had the suspicion that the soul altar would be released with an update that opens up Prifddinas. I'm guessing the altar will be somewhere around Prifdinnas/Tirannwn anyway. Elves just have that sort of 'humble spirit' thing about them. Either that or the next Elemental Workshop quest with the whole mind/body/soul theme.
  17. Hi there! I would love to know whether wearing zuriel / vesta / morrigan / statius armour degrades as soon as you start wearing it, or whether it starts degrading when you use magic/range/melee OR get hit while the armour is equipped? As I'm only interested in some pieces of the PVP armour for outfit purposes, and don't plan on actually using it for fighting purposes. Thanks a ton in advance ^_^ Edit: thanks for the fast replies everyone =D I had my worries about the armour as rs wiki wasn't very clear on how it degrades, but you guys have cleared up my concerns ^_^ thanks again
  18. It all sounds good, but Jagex have a tendency to get your hopes up and then crush them when the update comes out and it's not what you expected. So sorry, but this time I'm not getting my hopes up. Until dungeoneering is updated and I see it for myself, that will be the proof in the pudding. I'm still not encouraged enough to train this minigame of a 'skill'.
  19. From my personal experience of playing RS for just over 8 years now, Dungeoneering is the first and only skill that has made me seriously wonder whether I should go for all 99's. After all, most people hope to achieve all 99's one day, to then have a skill that requires 104M exp in one skill to get the full total level? It IS rediculous, and I'm sorry but that is insane. I would rather go for 200M Slayer exp, and that's saying something, coming from a combat-fanatic myself (73m attack exp, 18m slayer exp). I think dungeoneering has potential, but for now I'm certainly not training it in Daeomonheim dungeons. Running around in circles, picking up keys and killing boss-like monsters destroys a part of my soul each time, knowing I need 104M exp in it just to master it fully. It's lamps, tears of guthix and books of knowledge for me. So I can see it from your point of view, don't worry many of us don't like dungeoneering. Hopefully batch 2 can rectify the skill.
  20. Catapults are so much fun <3
  21. I know ey, I was expecting a small magic attack bonus. I imagine it would look pretty epic with an ancient staff, as the shield looks ancient itself. Thanks for posting the images, was hoping someone would do a thread for these new items ^_^ I'm interested in the armour. Some guy was wearing a light steel coloured cw armour and matched the slayer helm perfectly. I'm all into outfits so yeah... lol :)
  22. I'm going to go try some castle wars now :o the armour looks pretty epic, and IDK about you but that shield is mega smexy! I want! =P~
  23. I was done with Dungeoneering after day 1 unfortunately. I was all hyped up for the new skill, then when I basically saw "team" and "dungeons" in the new skill update I knew it was not for me, as I can't multi-task, and I'm certainly not good in team situations (I.E. Godwars, anything boss-related). I think it has the potential to be an 'ok' skill, if Jagex play their cards right. For example, Jagex could make skill-based dungeons like a slayer-dung dungeon. A requirement of, say, 40 dung and 60 slayer. It could work like the Daemonheim dungeon, but instead all monsters would be slayer-monsters only. You could make slayer gear from the drops, and buy slayer tools needed to kill specific monsters to get rooms completed. The end could be a slayer boss. When completed, outside the dungeon you would be rewarded with an item specific to that skill. These skill dungeons would be outside of daemonheim, and the rewards you get you could keep. They could range from new slayer gear to slayer tomes (that give slayer experience), the list is endless. Some skills you think might not work for dungeons, like Farming for example, but where there's a skill, there's a way. A farming dungeon could require you to farm specific vine traps to slowly kill monsters. Other plants that could kill could include the venus fly trap for example. This way level 3's could solo dungeons without the worry of relying on other players to deal damage. I certainly think Dungeoneering has potential, we will have to see what dung batch 2 brings us, it is my only hope for now. If there is nothing that will encourage or inspire me to train the skill further, I don't think I will ever get it to 99, or indeed 120 o_O
  24. The quest took me the entire day yesterday -_- Trying to find the right youtube videos to guide me through each part was a nightmare too. Most people missclicked, losing my move bonus, and others had me find out I just did the exact same puzzle at the end of their guide lol. However I did find a guide to that infinite moves thing, which allowed me to complete it in the end. Oh well... at least I now have a very smexy cyan+deep blue top for my outfit collection :) ah yes and the attack cape emote is epic now. Karate anyone? Chop chop! Hyyyahhh!
  25. ^ I agree. Most of us do not have all 99s, and there aren't enough maxxed total level players out there to help everyone out with those doors either. I reckon there shouldn't be level 100+ requirements at all really, 100+ stats should be a 'bonus', not a 'requirement' in Daemonheim dungeons, but that's just my opinion :)
