Sorry but basing your facts on numbers is wrong because there are many factors that go hand in hand with why skills aren't as popular as others. summoning - hasn't been around longer than most skills but it is easier than slayer because, for example, all you have to do is kill 40K waterfiends (no assigned monsters, less bank trips for special equipment, less teleporting, basically less time) and spend up large on the shards to get the exp. slayer - there are more people training slayer just for the shear fact that everyone wants a free abyssal whip at level 85, not to mention a l33t black with red trim cape at 99 (that was one of the reasons why I wanted the cape, just coz it was a black with red trim cape LOL) farming - if you're rich it can take much less time, but not all of us are, which is why it obviously shows up harder on the hiscores. You see basing your facts on numbers isn't always correct, there are other factors why more/less people train the skill to 99, whether it's money (main reason), time, experience you can get, or just because it has way more benefits than other skills (whips at 85 slayer for example, look how many players have high slayer now - surprise, that's probably the reason!) I'd say slayer would be 1st or 2nd (I know from experience, it took me roughly a whole year without doing any other skills to get it to 99), runecraft could be #1 though because it is a pain in the cabbage to train mainly due to the fact that the exp is pathetic to say the least, but other skills could also be #1 so in reality we will never know.

It'll make a comeback, just not as much as people expect. This is the reason why it won't be a massive comeback: D chain - starting price: roughly 30M D plate - starting price: 30M So lets see, d chain which was hard to get, was worth 30M because we weren't given any massive reward, making people buy supplies and constantly going after the kq. The d plate finally comes out and we're already given 1/3rd of it (10M at the time, yes prices have changed blah blah but bare with me on this one) so REALLY, d chain came out at 30M and d plate came out at 20M. Where is the logic in that? The fact that the 10M piece we were given at RANDOM was an utterly stupid idea because many d plates were created at once - making it plummet within a matter of days once people realized how badly thought out the idea was. The least they could have done was either: A) not given any pieces whatsoever. B) if we were given a piece of the d plate, make it so that the piece you receive is the same as everyone else gets (basically the noob shard that doesn't cost much) this is so that d plates aren't created every few minutes because of people selling their random dragon piece they received from the quest, to the GE o_O also the other 2 pieces from the tormented demons would be highly sort after, which would make d plates come into RS at a reasonable and fair pace. All in all I think they may rise back up to around 30M but don't expect it to become 50M or anything like that. And for everyone's information, I like the dragon plate, it looks awesome, in fact I even bought myself one at 39M, so when I quit members I could wear it and be reminded of how amazing it looks, and in all honesty, it has brilliant stats, it's a perfect example of what the d plate should look like, but I just think the way it was brought out was not thought out at all.

I remember when he was one of the first few to get 85 slayer, he was killing kalphites (as I was killing them too at the time) and I had a conversation with Zez for a couple minutes before he had to go get a new task. He is a nice guy, some people don't like him because he doesn't talk to them, but anyone with a brain can realise why (but if you don't, it's because he is popular and gets asked A LOT of questions, that, and people expect him to help anyone and everyone he comes across :? ) :thumbsup:

Hey guys, ever since i've quit members I've wanted to make my own game called "Totem" with similar skills and concepts to Runescape, but with skills like Necromancy, Archaeology and Shapeshifting (turning into a creature and taking on its abilities) to name a few examples, different minigames etc. etc. basically my version of Runescape but with a big twist =D Now I love how the Runescape site is set up, it's extremely easy to follow which many other games lack, and I want my game to be set up similar to the way it is, with a few changes (as I don't like the buttons going across etc.) but I'm struggling to find websites with good photoshop tutorials with Runescape-like frames/buttons etc. that I can use to get an idea of what my game's main page will look like :( Here's an example of my banner, it's just a concept at the moment but I just need a visual idea of it, then I can work on it in full detail myself =D So if anyone knows any really good photoshop tutorial websites, in particular ones with frames like Runescape have around their pictures and stuff that would be awesome, and many thanks in advance!!

WOW that's awesome! That must have taken ages to do. I did that sort of thing in my art design class back in 3rd form when we had to do animals and silhouettes and stuff. I chose the black jaguar and put words describing it around the pupil of its eye, got an Excellence for it =D I like typography and it looks like you're a master at it! Great job! :thumbsup:

Even though myself and many others got the great sale of 10M from the shard reward after the quest, I agree that it was a bad idea giving everyone 1/3rd of a dragon plate as a reward, it's like giving everyone a set of veracs to go kill the KQ when d chain was worth 20M. As for the starting prices, they were horrible too. D claws 150k? D plate 30M? Please. I would have thought the D claws would have been a few mill given its awesome specs, and the d plate maybe around 80M, I mean c'mon it's almost the same price as D chain when it first came out, but this time you're given 1/3rd of it, so realistically D plate is 20M instead of 30M. Not to mention the fact that it is only 1 less slash defence than 3rd age melee plate, I think for its measely price it has pretty good stats, and i'd expect 3rd age melee to fall soon, not that I care :D I don't really mind though, i'm now F2P - wearing my d plate with pride, despite the points above. I really don't care about how much it falls either because it has awesome stats and looks great (plus you gotta look good in F2P :D )

Ya i'm sick of dealing with people that just overall pester me and ask 21 questions, so i've put public chat to friends forever =( I usually get all these questions at least once per day, and not just by ONE person (as they always say, i'm only ONE person, so answer my question :roll: ): "What cape is that?" "What 99's do you have?" "How many 99's do you have?" "Do emote" "Can I have free stuff?" "Can you help me do ______ quest?" Questions like this are all fine and dandy, but not when you get asked at least 20 times a day. Believe me, it gets so frustrating to the point where you feel like just having a sign on yourself with quotes such as: "Check hiscores for my stats, don't ask me" "Look at videos for what 99 capes and their emotes look like" "No I can't help every single person I see" Honestly, and low levels wonder why high levels are *mean* :roll: we're not mean, we just can't help every single person we see. And we do have to play the game ourselves, we didn't make a character to help everyone out and have no fun. Anyway back on topic.. lol. I think when I got 99 cooking at rogues den, the smaller groups seemed to be more chatty/friendly, whereas the more people that came, just wanted to talk about stuff that is R and X rated :shock: that, and talk about levels all day #-o

I think dragon will become the new rune, and 3rd age will become the new dragon. Already the d chain is dropping from the interest in d plates now. It's only going to get worse, and sooner or later Jagex will HAVE to bring out some level 80 - 99 req. armour :P

This isn't a first, the same thing happens with the crystal seed when you get the unfermented version of it, you can't get more than 1 and you only get it during the quest, afterwards you can't get it anymore. I think it's good, I sold mine for a nice profit coz they're only like mystic, plus i'm quitting members so I don't need them lol :lol:

OMG I had all 3 pieces (which I bought with my rising-in-price DFH), finally got to the forging thing, did the fire blasts and everything, and was told I couldn't use assistance so I sold them all for cash, to now be told we soon can? Too little too late, thanks jagex, i've now missed out on about 10M profit and a dragon plate. I swear murphies law is against me. Thank goodness i'm quitting members and don't have to deal with this kind of cabbage again... jagex, you need to think things through when bringing out your updates to ensure things like this don't happen! :evil: And to people who rant about me whining and saying i'm a pker and all that bs, no i'm not a pker, and this is the first real rant i've ever done, so I really don't care what you think.

I desperately wanted a d plate so I traded my DFH for cash and the other 2 lumps to get the full set of ruined dragon lumps. I was then disappointed when I heard on the RSOF that you couldn't get assistance for making the dragon plate =( so I just sold all 3 of them as the shear amount of them coming in was unbelievable, and thought for sure they would drop because I was told that when you complete the quest you get a RANDOM ruined lump of dragon, so lots of all 3 lumps were sold on the ge - creating quite a few dragon plates immediately. I hope that isn't the case, but i'm retiring in a few days so it won't be much use to me anyway, but i'm glad i've finally sold my dfh, now I don't have to get membership for another month just to sell it :lol:

I just completed the quest and desperately want a dragon plate but have no idea how to get the other 2 dragon shards. I hear they're dropped from those demons but 2 questions I have if it's true are 1. are they a lower level than the ones in the quest? And 2. how hard are they, I don't want to be having to team it -_-

Collecting blue dragon scales has been great in the past, although most times when you go again, people decide it's good too, and start collecting them, messing up your routine and getting owned by the dragons #-o Another good one would be the mini 91 rc method - abyssal titan banking pure ess. I think it's safe to say that double nat crafting is definitely 1st or at least top 5 - if someone can find something better :)

slayer cape, red p hat, black hair, d chain, d legs, fury, whip, d boots, d gloves, d sq the red/black/white combo. political colours too I might add. either that or long white hair, white p hat, white magic staff, white sq shield, white plate, white legs, desert boots, cooking gaunts, prayer cape (used to be legends cape until it wasn't completely white anymore - more like dirty white lol) looks like gandalf from LOTR

I think if the money went to kids in Africa, it's all fine and dandy, but you never see the money go anywhere. Take 40hr famine for examine, only 5 - 10% of the money actually goes to the kids, what's the point in that? That's like making a church and taking nearly all the profits to benefit your lifestyle, not the church. I also remember the fact that *apparently* they've donated more than 400M to them within the last 10 years. Where has it all gone? All I see is a couple schools they've given them. It makes me angry TBH and I don't support 40hr famine anymore as they don't give them the majority of the donations. I'd rather give the money to the "make a wish" foundation where the people have got internal illnesses and only have a short time left to live - and want to live their dream... it's also shown on many programs such as the apprentice, oprah's big give and extreme makeover: household edition, just to name a few.

Ok so I was mining granite today, as I only have 10 days of membership left, and didn't want to be disturbed while trying to get as much exp as I possibly could, before my membership is cancelled for good. Some guy comes up and says "nice slayer cape" I reply "ty", he then says "have you got any more 99 capes" I reply "yes" he continues by saying "how many and what ones" :wall: this is all well and good but I was trying to concentrate on mining, not play 21 questions, so I just say "check hiscores". A minute later he replies "so what's your summoning level?" #-o At that moment I just hopped worlds. Has this happened to you? Where you just want to train a particular skill and not get asked 21 questions? Discuss \

Hmm it will fight but it can't get hit back so I don't see the point in it having a combat level :-k IDK, I guess it could run both ways :-k Onto a sad note, we just got word back from our internet provider and they said that apparently we've been using the extra 10k bandwidth for a week now (which I think is bull because they said they'd fone us when it's been put on!) but anyways my time is up on runescape, well, members at least.. I think I might just merchant stuff in f2p when i'm online, and maybe when I get my own home and computer and stuff I can come back all rich and prepared for the exciting new things that would have come out \ So, I give full permission for someone to take over the guide, and for the person who wants to take over it, you guys could do a poll and see if their ideas are somewhat similar so that the ideas stay fair etc. [hide=beware]I've had a great 6 years in RS, the highs, the lows, achieving 99 slayer, my favourite skill that ended up giving me roughly 300M! I remember when my best drops were just rune and obby cape, but then I saw people getting 85 slayer and receiving whip drops left, right, and centre. So I spent 15M on cannonballs, bought guthans and virtually my life savings lol and got my slayer level to 85 to try it out. After a few months I started to see the benefits of abby demons and grew my wealth rapidly. To this day, i've received 84 whip drops, 1 visage, 1 d chain, 1 d leg, 2 d skirts, 2 dark bows, thousands of rune items, hundreds of granite mauls and mystic tops etc. from my journey to 99 slayer, and it made me afford 99 prayer (and rank 76, which is now something like 116 -_-) The lows, would probably be being scammed by my best friend, zhane (won't say full name for privacy) in RSC at the time of 16M, knew him for 2 years and he backstabbed me. Also coming into RS2 with nothing (missed the transfer option from RSC to RS - was on holiday #-o ) and then being scammed immediately of my 180k I just made that day. My best friend however, kantoo (not going to say full name - for privacy), gave me cash and items to get back on my feet, I gave it back when I was able to \ (I still remember being given the games necklace - which confused me as I had never been to the games room before lol - also I was at duel arena and had no idea where I was :lol: ) Runescape's been the best game i've ever played, it's graphics are (now) awesome, the concept was brilliant, the items were well thought out, the skills were awesome (now give us Archaeology lol) in fact it's inspired me to come up with my own game, i'm going to call it either totem or paragon. I want to make my own version, with awesome new skills like Archaeology and Necromancy \ so IDK when i'll be able to make it, let alone get someone to develop it, but I sure hope to make it a reality one day ^_^ So, if you've read this far into my life story I must congradulate you :lol: most people don't want to hear of it but I just wanted to say how awesome Runescape was and how it'll always be my favourite game of all time :thumbsup: I wish you guys all the best and hope to see this idea implemented one day :P and who knows, I may be back one day \[/hide] From this point on I leave the suggestion up to the chosen person, so all the best you guys and keep on supporting :D

Yep, full range void is definitely a must. I went to ape atoll and used range void with range pot and eagle eye pray, I managed to hit up to 40 with broad bolts!! Also it's about 50k - 70k range exp an hour doing that method and it's pretty cheap.
