  1. I'll jump straight in, since fancy introductions only delay the plunge: I have aroudn 60 constitution, 68 magic (soon to be 70) and 50-ish prayer. I also have around 65 defence. Link to the highscores is in my profile, of course, and my strength lefvel is 60 (that doesn't appear there). Since reading around, I've heard that it's possible to do barrows using ancient magic. I've done desert treasure, recipe for disaster, and in search of the myreque (but not in aid of the myreque-should I?). However, I've got no idea what the right way to go about that is. I don't have a huge budget, but here is my rough list of equipment that I can envisage myself taking: Dagon'hai robes. Amulet of Glory Ring of Wealth God cape. Barrows Gloves Fremmenik Boots 2/3 or Mystic Boots Ancient staff. God book. I'm not certain about that (it's saradomin and I can't afford another) but I could use a dragon square shield if that would make a big difference. The plan with spells would be to use ice burst and blood burst. How should I proceed? How many prayer potions would I need a run? Would I need to take a melee weapon, such as a dragon scimitar? Should I switch out some of my equipment for a higher prayer bonus? Should I take (X)? Is there a specific order I have to kill the brothers in? Am I too newby to be able to do well against them at all? Enlighten me pl0x.
  2. They all have their pros and cons. DDS is cheap to replace, can be poisoned, and contains several specials. As a result, it's ideal for PvP, especially as a side weapon to something like a whip. Dragon claws are expensive to replace and can't be poisoned, but hit higher and faster. It's good for PvP, but only if you can afford to lose a different weapon, making it useful but...different. Of course, while doing relatively safe bossing it's ideal. Korasi's Sword has the massive disadvantage of lightning chaining, and has a magic based special, which is great on people wearing rune armour but unhelpful at bosses or other vaguely magic/range oriented. But it is pretty cheap, and has good all-round stats. Pretty obvious stuff, I guess, I just thought I'd say so.
  3. It wasn't an accident. The idea was to increase functionality, but because dropping from the bank worked differently from usual it became possible to obtain multiple items of certain peices of content, most commonly the god capes. They didn't like that, and couldn't be bothered to fix it, so they got rid of the button. On topic: Nah. Although personally, I think there's a chance they wanted to lower the price of spirit shields, so they could buy one themselves...yeah right  .
  4. Ooh, these sound fun! Looking forward to trying one on :)
  5. Loving these pictures of the new lumbridge graphics! You'll notice the impressive trees, new ores, and...well...probably some other cool stuff I didn't spot. Interesting stuff, showcasing clearly the graphics of the future. I think it's a bright outlook for RS.
  6. I don't mind, so long as there's a tooll (haven't been there yet) I'm happy. But the problem was that it took ages for F2P, and was seen as a barrier to starting dungeoneering.
  7. This is awesome. And everyone else likes it too :D :D :D :D . I'm surprised (but pleased) that the spoilers werent' actually for the priate quest. I'm looking forward to doing a little dungeoneering sometime. Why did they use RoW like glory, rather than like every other peice of dstone jewellery? The tele to miscellania was not needed, but the GE one might I suppose be useful for those on different magics to the modern spellbook.
  8. Buy as much rare stuff as you can, and then quit. Try another game. Take up a sport. Find a fun hobby, like...I don't know...railway modelling? :) .
  9. Smithing: Original purpose? To produce top-quality armour at the highest level. And weapons, too, but no-one seems interested by that here. Problem? Better-quality armour and weapons were introduced to the level that smithing was pointless. Solution? Allow smithing to buff armour and weapons at a high level.
  10. Surely earth runes would be faster, given your already hgih RC level? You'd still make money and you'd get more experience per trip, while I the difference in tablet cost is marginal (6 tokens).
  11. Wait, they're doing one of those? They certainly seem to have a lot of projects going on at the moment. Cool! I think it could work out. However, there would be some important thigns to consider: really, wether to stick to the "plot" or wether to ditch that and go for something that maybe takes place either a long time before or a long time after the series most people know about. It's a nice publciity move. I think it could make a really nice MMO, and I'm sure Jagex can easily sovle the graphics problem so long as they force you to play it through your own browser. Like it or not, Runescape is Jagex's most successful ever project, so obviously people are going to link them. If nothing else, hopefully more people will become interested in runescape following Jagex's increased publicity :) .
  12. Looks good. ACtually, I think the troll area ones do look like daemonheim, only more...summery. It could be that the avatar is wearing a RoW, anyway! Are all those pirates giving money to Rabid Jack? I swear those are good pirates? :o
  13. I think that the gloves were a great way to make this work.
  14. Make urns and alch them. Or sell them if you can find a good buyer, that's minimal loss and still pretty fast xp. Make them in east ardougne, there's a pottery just across the river shortcut.
  15. Got 68 magic...and...erm...yeah that's pretty much it. Got very little done and went to giant mole because I was bored. So THERE.
  16. ONe of the fun things about the wilderness is that you can be attacked anytime. It also means you can have fun suddenly attacking someone. Hell, I really enjoy that aspect of the game, even if my stats aren't amazing. If you want to train agility safely, go to a different course.

I'll let you in on a little secret: It wasn't a joke. It was a point to show that sarcasm doesn't travel across the internet as easily as some of you seem to think, and I have proven this by being blatantly sarcastic and having the same people who are pointing out how the OP was being blatantly sarcastic failing to detect it. Yeah... "nice internet defense mechanism" wasn't exactly the wisest thing to say when it's apparently normal behavior for you to sweep your mistakes under the carpet, you know, by conveniently skipping over my point explaining how your claims were dead wrong. So you really are that type of guy who thinks they can never possibly be wrong, and when he gets caught in the act, rather than admitting his mistake and learning from it, instead plays the denial card and slithers his way out of the discussion. Interesting. Nneeeeerrrrrddddddrrrraaaaaagggggeeeeeeee......
  18. Armour trimming wasn't a scam? :o . I like.
  19. Interesting that said PMod muted you while hosting his own private game. He's not doing anything. -Green-I'm just saying that you are perceptive. That, and that at the time I found it pedantic to the point of mildly irritating. Hence the >.> face. And yes, I know you're right. Dice game is in no way illegal. The only problem is that you have little reason to trust the person hosting it.
  20. +1 Absolutely. Probably 4/5ths of Dev Blogs are Clan-related.
  21. Not bad. I think the "eco-friendly" bit was dragged out rather too much and didn't add to the video, same as the "runescape is contaminated" bit, but other than that I thought it was a nice video, entertaining like.

It is worth it, but it's more fun to do a mix of PC and Conquest. I don't know...the trick is to enjoy the game :) .
  23. This sounds really fun! I think I might try this sometime soon-and I've had a thought, wouldn't elemental armour be really useful here?
  24. A great way to start hunter off if you find birds boring (I know I did) is to hunt polar kebbits. Once you've got the gist of it, it may not be faster but it's a lot more fun and the extra cash certainly makes it more interesting.
  25. Hmm...well I haven't been on for a while, but I think I'll do EW4, and then maybe potter around the Artisans workshop. Perhaps I'll investigate the new cannon look, too. Then some sort of mix of firemaking, fletching, magic. IF I have more time I'll give thieving, fishing, and...who knows...maybe even smithing.
