  1. That's got nothing to do with gambling though. It would be the same result if he bought an outrageously expensive car or donated all their money to charity. The immoral part is losing money that people are depending on, not the manner in which it was lost. perceptive9090 strikes again >.>
  2. Hmm...I imagine if you only raised strength, you could make a nice barrows dude (but one that can also ice blitz for the lulz). Oh, you're F2P. Well, I guess something to keep in mind if you ever get membs again.
  3. No. Gambling isn't immoral, although it can be in some circumstances: e.g. Man who earns all the family's money gambling it away without his family's consent.
  4. Why? It's honest, it's reliable, and it's very good money. Can't see what's wrong with that meself.
  5. Or be a 10 year old pker with the vocabulary of a 5 year old who spams the RSOF over and over again. Again, that only matters if you have 499,999 other pkers to help you.
  6. At what email adress????!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!!!
  7. Well you say that, but there is an exception: the dragon dagger would probably be a higher price if it's shp price wasn't so low.
  8. (From the Webcomic Saturday Morning Breakfst Cereal) Sadly I've never done a job interview, although in a previous interview I found the most important thing was to be relaxed and to express my opinion fluently.
  9. My gosh. Although I'm still confused why she didn't wait for BXPW, seeing as it would still be the best thieving experience in the game.
  10. Ineteresting. I'll be sure to try this come the holidays, I had no idea the 4 hour limit was removed :) .
  11. The method I heard of was ranged with ruby bolts, and combining that with a special attack from a bandos godsword(whcih presumably works nicely for melee too). Brining summoning into play, I've heard a kyatt is very useful, but I can't remember how that works.
  12. Wow, sword III looks terrible. the rest look cool though, it's jsut a shame the weild position isn't less awkward. We know you can go outside the playerbox because of the dragon scimitar, so why won't they do this? The upright position looks silly, when the other arm isn't doing something similair.
  13. It's fun, and it's useful for clans and such. Many things could be used to scam people, but they also have positive sides. For example, it's easy to scam people with flowers, but they also look really good. It's easy to scam people with the dungeoneering cape, but it looks amazing with those emotes.
  14. Oh. Well that's that then...
  15. How much money would one need to start?
  16. Oh okay. I guess that cannon problem makes sense then, although TBH I always find herb drops a pain anyway, so I click the seed then the bones. The smithing update was what I expected. i was looking forward to it. I am satisfied.
  17. You honestly expect runescape to still be going in 10 year's time? Hah, if it is I'll be amazed. (well, at least if it is still similairly populated). I think you're right. The game is going rotten because of the old skills that are no longer purposefull. Smithing (outside 'heim, where it serves it's true purpose). Firemaking. Fletching. Crafting, with the exception of the Onyx Amulet. The question is: how do we fix these with the mechanics that have developed to cope completely without them? If the devs had been thinking carefully, then yes, smithing might have been reconcilable, fletching might have been improved, crafting might have received savvy updates. But now they can't, because the good stuff needed in the game was introduced differently.
  18. Well, good food to use at ape atoll-you might want to buy food from the stores there, like a banana. Or take chocolate cakes or another food that heals a lot for a small inventory space. Normally these take several bites to consume. If you have 80+ HP, then take some strawberry baskets. If you have an EE, take that.
  19. Oh, I don't know. I guess we have different tastes then. I fully agree that there shoudl be more updates for house decoration (my hosue looks a touch bland) but I still think the gold is better than nothing. And making an item gold is a reward because it shows wealth or time and effort. What I really liked about the cannon was the shape of the recoiling top-peice. I thought that was neat, and the gold..hey, not amazing but it still looks good :) . Why is dragon armour a puke? It's red, like you wanted for houses? (really, puking? you wouldn't throw up over a game, it's not worth the effort).
  20. Hey, I've done RFD! Should I be doing that then? :) .
  21. Okay, well I'll focus on the cash problem. I don't have a lot of cash myself but I certainly get by. Now, what you're going to want to do straight away is to plant some stuff in allotments to get your farming level up. Once you can farm toadflax, farm them...it shouldnt' take too long, and it makes a good profit/herb. Then what's a good idea is to get hold of Varrock Armour 2. That's part of the varrock acheivement diary, and allows you to buy several battlestaves a day. Basically a free 50k per day, which when you combine it with some other shop runs is good for getting hold of quick cash: 1. Buy all vials, which come in "vial packs" for convenience. 2. Buy all feathers. 3. Buy the death runes in the magic guild and elemental runes if they'll profit you. To sell all these you'll need to go to the "Grand Exchange" or "GE " in North-West Varrock. Talk to the GE tutor and he will tell you how to use it, then sell your stuff there. Next, another low-cost cash supplement is brewing. To do this well you need to create three main quests: Ghosts Ahoy, Cabin Fever, and The Giant Dwarf, all of whcih are very useful for other reasons (ghsots ahoy gives a one-click refillable free teleport, for example). Obtain some of the stuff and look up how to brew greenman's ale. Every few days you can collect eight glasses of mature ale, which is worth about 50k a glass. Finally, you want to do "Throne of Miscellania" and then "Royal Trouble" which allows you to manage a small kingdom and collect income from there. That generates quite a bit of cash-obviously to do it effectively look up a guide, I'm just giving you the basics for things to..."look into". As for proper cash supplies: cash is hard but not absurd to get. Once you have 10-20M you can start merchanting, which if you know what you're doing generates cash very quickly. There are several things you could try: firstly, you could really grind out yoru mining skill. There's a cool thing called "shooting stars" which is good for that. Once you can mine runite, that would be rather good cash (although perhaps not as good as it used to be). Another method is training hunter. Hunter has a lot of money-makers due to the summoning skill-the trick is to combine experience with profit so that you get a good spread of both. The methods I would look at are Polar Kebbit Tracking and Swamp Lizard Hunting. I hope that helps.
  22. Another safe area is your house, once you've locked the portal. So is the interior of daemonheim castle, so that includes floors below and the structure above, but not the bank.
  23. Universities block RS? D-: Give that site a go, it looks very interesting and I'm trying it out now. Use a new character or whatever, so you can't get hacked. EDIT: Much to my dissapointment, despite initially loading the game code: An error occurred Error_game_js5connect - Unable to connect to update server. RuneScape was unable to connect to the update server. This is most likely caused by a firewall blocking the connection. To resolve this: * If you have firewall or security software installed, they can often block RuneScape from accessing its servers. Please ensure that RuneScape/Java can connect to its servers on port 43594. * Note: Windows XP Service Pack 2 has built in firewall software. If, when loading RuneScape, this asks if you want to allow the connection, you need to say 'yes'. * If that doesn't help, then an external firewall may be causing the problem. Please ask your network adminstrator/ISP to open port 43594 for TCP traffic so that RuneScape and Java can run correctly. If problems persist, please refer to the Technical FAQs, which can be found in the Customer Support section of our website.
  24. Or you could try going in the Artisan's workshop and get marginally slower xp, but cosmetic rewards and the ability to fix cannons at level 62.
