I think it would be perfectly fair for Jagex to make the judgement on wether they'll give items back. e.g. We'll give you your stuff back if it's worth over 10b in GE price woudl be a pretty good stopper.

INteresting, but there is one thing to remember: Chessy was only recovered because she exposed herself all over the net saying she was probably the richest player around. There are probably players with more money, but those may not be known.

Well, the article about scammers is okay, but there is one thing to mention: most of these scams have some basis in truth. Some people really do double money. Some people really did trim armour. Some people really would pay you to help them with a PK video. As one person said "when you have money, you get bored". Some of the examples aren't really scams at all.

Getting the wrong supplies for something like a shelf in my house. Removing shelf. Wrong stuff. Go back. Take more wrong stuff. Go back. Get normal shelf again. Then try build better shelf. Much frustration was acheived that day.

So. God book hunting. I have a Saradomin Godbook, and I'd like to get another. I can't afford a Zamorak Godbook at the current prices, but seeing as I'd like one for magic and I'm not a huge guthix person, I thought I might try and get Zaros. Now, I know this isn't efficient or sensible, but...what I'd really like to do is make the money for it by collecting god pages. Anything other than Zaros, I'll sell until I can afford a Zaros book. My questions: What's the best way to get God Pages? What kind of clue scroll? 1, 2 or 3? (I don't really have a lot of acess to elite scrolls, unless you count bork whcih I guess I could do each day-shoudl I be doing that?). What's the best way to get the clue scroll you said above? Please keep in mind my stats, in the link in the profile. My equipment is fairly middle of the range-a mixture of dragon and rune, with dagon'hai magic robes and a set of melee void. Hoping for some helpful replies :) .

Seriously? I'd advice putting penguins, tears of guthix (if you can) and any other xp rewards possible onto it while you train. Summoning is dull to level, well, certainly if you don't really collect charms fast like me. Don't forget familiarisation either, for your triple charms or extra secondaries.

Sell bandos once you're certain you have the money for herblore, sure. Rumour has it that using Torag's is little different than Bandos. Certain items are well worth having, even though they're not expensive. For example, if you don't have barrows gloves the obvious question is "why not??" sicne they are better than a dragon defender and bandos armour strength bonuses. Or at least pretty close.

Ring of life. Right. I'll get one of those. although at 60HP, will it really trigger enough to be worthwhile against death? In any case, points taken: I do like an active Help&Advice forum :) .

I personally find it irritating that if you go there yourself, you are told it's too dangerous to go down the trapdoor. Perhaps it's to prevent safers, but it's just really irritating and doesn't make a great deal of sense.

Jagex have said they won't put this in. "We are not planning to increase the skill level cap." That does no, repeat NOT mean they are subtly hinting that they are planning on increasing the skill level cap. the only cool thing that might work well would be releasing skill mastery capes, for level 120 skills. However that's not really necessary given the new capes of distinction coming out anyway.

I don't particularly want a non-specific barrows guide, since there are several and they all say the same thing: Use Ahrim's Robes, Zamorak Book, Magic cape, etc. None of which I have :rolleyes: .

Okay, useful advice so far. I am really planning to do it for fun, rather than as a "serious moneymaker" (hah, the idea of runescape being a day job). What you've said is interesing. I am seriously considering getting an arcane necklace-namely a blast, since that is (I consider) reacheable within my patience for dungeoneering. Sadly I can't afford a new god book although if I get any pages at a discount or from a clue scroll I might consider buyign the rest (unless it's zamorak and I can sell it to buy a whole Zaros book, say). I don't currently plan on getting 70 ranged, because...well...I'm not a ranged man. Would lunar robes work better than dagon'hai given I need some defence? I have a set, although I would'nt be using the amulet, staff, and ring. I'll use an ardougne cape to get a better prayer bonus. I'll think about doing in aid of the myreque.

Make your special armour degradable. You have to repair it every now and then.
