  1. Interesting. Although with your comment about prayer, there were less prayers to use and F2P still have the same problem. However at those low levels, it is still relatively simple to level up to 45, whcih is about as high as you'll ever need.
  2. Okay, well jsut to correct your english to help you be better understood, the phrase you are looking for is the Quiet before the Storm. Quiet means a lack of noise, whereas quite means it is a little bit like something. Personally I'm expecting a release stretching from late June to November. I'm pretty sure they announced it so early because firstly, they were hoping for a 2010 release, and secondly, they wanted to keep hopes and interests up after Mechscape was cancelled. Hopefully a beta release will be coming along soon-I had forgotten about Stellar Dawn's release, to be honest.
  3. Oh gosh-the real world's fetish for gold colour-how ugly. Y'know, it's stupid because it reflects real life. Personally I rather like the colours, but gold doesn't always look bad. For example, the imperial palace of Madrid is completely decked out with gold, marble, you name an expensive old thing and it's there. But it still looks amazing. Jagex are only trying to imitate that. Personally I think the mixture of style with functionality works well, but maybe for you it's tacky?
  4. Personally I have no idea how you actually manage to get 4900 platebodies done in an hour (as far as i can tell that figure doesn't include banking) and therefore 3600 sounds much more reasonable. That would make the workshop faster xp, and with a nice little cosmetic reward too. Where's the problem? Sure smithing will need some sort of high reward one day, but it would be nice to get the combat triangle fully balanced before more melee updates. Or is it balanced? I don't know, but it used to be a really common complaint.
  5. Ooh, nice idea! And you can boost other people's stats with lunars, and heal poison...
  6. Sounds like a good plan, if unconventional.
  7. Steel ceremonial sword, design II. (from the wiki) Just htought you guys might want to see this if you haven't already, looks pretty beast. Oh, and so does the royale cannon from side on: Cool, innit? :)
  8. Lots of people are now hoping to see a ceremonial sword, and I'm joining them. Sword piccy pl0xx?
  9. Say what you like about the cannon, but it's a darn sight more realistic. Despite the fact the cannonball storage is still a bit weird. How on earth are you ever going to make smithing worthwhile again? You won't especially not if you just focus on combat.
  10. Make urns from soft clay, then alch or sell them if you can find a buyer. It's not bad xp, which is hardly surprising seeing as it's just below your levels.
  11. Gold looks nice, but not perhaps as good as royale in the game guide (excluding the base).
  12. Combination of lag, server space, and balance-too many people per server would be bad, but too few would be boring.
  13. Unlikely. RAising respect is meant to be difficult, and is meant to be a by-prodcut of training normally then "oh I can go fix a pipe that should help the dwarves". Besides, raising respect is hard IRL too. In my opinion it would help for smithing to perhaps focus on non-combat skills. The only problem is I can't see how.
  14. I don't really understand what people were expecting. Jagex just released amazing new armour, and they have added some pretty cool stuff here, it would seem. How the hell was smithing ever going to revolutionise combat?
  15. I don't actually have much cash at all, around 2M with perhaps 1.5-2M in armour and weapons. I am impressed at yoru flipping skills, although I could only do that in the holidays it sounds like a very nice moneymaker.
  16. Okay, that's interesting information coming up. People saying big bones are only 50k xp/hr, well, actually that sounds fine to me. 70 isn't that high a level. I'm not hugely into PvM, but I think EE would be useful for things like quests. Obviously I don't have a high enough cashpile to merchant. I can't play during term time but on the holidays I can play RS, which is why any MTK is extremely sporadic. I'll give it a go once I've acquired another million. Thanks for the info, guys :) .
  17. Interesting. Very interesting, in fact, with suggestions ranging from getting myself some chaotics (ROFLMAO IWLSHMTFIMC). Big bones sound good at 7M, if that's the lowest possible. I already farm a little, although MTK is impractical for me as I can't get my approval up regularly. If I was to check it once every month I imagine I'd need a much higher amount of capital than I currently have. I won't be able to prepare for bonus xp weekend, so construction isn't really on my list of things to do. Unless I have some planks kicking around, whcih I don't...think...i...do...? I farm a little (toadflax) and brew a little (greenman's ale with the stuff). I'm looking to complete WGS sometime, although that could take a while with the skill reqs, I still think 70 prayer is the biggest challenge. So, yeah. Thanks for the advice guys, that was helpful. I wasn't sure if what I asked for was possible and it turns out it's not, so that's rather helpful! :) .
  18. Okay, well how much would I need to expand my budget to?
  19. Sooo...when Jagex killed FT+W, they killed a huge community. And that community won't ever come back. This saddens me :( .
  20. So as the title says, I'm looking to get 70 prayer as part of a long-term goal, enchanced excalibur. I'm not particularly good at combat, and don't really enjoy that area of the game much, and I have comparatively low levels (link in my profile). I have a low budget of around 2M-if really stretching I could bring it to 3M. I'm happy to do combat if it is relatively fast experience, and I enjoy minigames, however my lack of good combat ability means I'm bad against dragons and other players, whcih rules soul wars, green dragons, blue dragons, and also the higher levels of the shades of mort'ton minigame out. Time taken is not so much of an issue as enjoyment. I'd rather get into something slow, methodical, and practical than spend hundreds of thousands to very little experience gain but in a short amount of time. Ideally I'd be able to get the level in around ten days with some preperation (not flat out, but over the course of that time). I am happy to use ectofuntus or other alternative praying techniques to a gilded altar. So, does anyone have any ideas as to how I might do this? I'd love to hear opinions on what seems worryingly close to impossible. EDIT: Oh, and if I have to expand my budget how much do I need to expand it to?
  21. Perhaps when they go on Jmod accounts.... but on their personal accounts they cannot change their stats and have to play by the same rules as the rest of us. That's what you think ;) .
  22. Whoa, give it a chance guys. Can any upload one of the pictures with the new trees to imageshack? I can't get onto the useful parts of runescape .com (and therefore see images there) until friday. I'd just really like to see the new trees. If all trees get properly updated, then...well...it might just make average locations look good again. Buildings can be as perfect as they like, but until trees are updated then runescape will always suck. Why might the clan area not suck? Well, so long as it's small, it might work well if we can leave details with the scribe. You can do this on your homeworld, and obviously one world per clan (or two, one f2p and one p2p) where you can leave information about the clan. It sounds like an okay idea, but...well...not worth putting into the game, TBH. Except the trees.
  23. New furnace+anvils? My only hope is that they don't screw this up and remember to put a bank nearby, or have it smack next to the mine.
  24. Nice thread. Especially the argument about how it's annoying the joke wasn't obvious...the subtlety there is what's amusing, you see. In a way, it's not just a rant about players who beg because they were stupid, it's also a way of getting at people who don't read carefully before answering the post to see if the OP has said something negating your potentially helpful advice.
  25. Why would people kick you if you don't have xp share on? Arent' you the only one 'losing out'? (just asking in case there's something I need to know)
