It always was dumb that we couldn't use combat familiars and cannons in single combat. But it would be a pain for even moderately high level players to compete with the fully maxed. Yes, it's part of the game, but do we want every slayer task to be a rat race?

I've merged your two topics together since they are related to each other and I've edited the title to reflect this. Still don't know how much it will be changed what with monster weaknesses and all. It seems that if you don't utilize the weakness of the monster, then you will be dealing little damage. Really, it depends how many monsters will be stab weak. And since you have a long way to go before your first chaotic, I would just wait until more concrete information is released. With that having been said, rapier will *probably* still be a good first choice.

Don't have GIMP at work, but it's straightforward enough. This post should be useful. Play around with the threshold until you get it right. There probably is a better way, but that should work.

Good point; never really thought of that. My first impression would be 'no', because Jagex is moving towards an action bar. But they seem keen on rewarding players that put more effort into Runescape (points to current beta combat system), so they just might allow it.

I personally took (and would take them again) a few normal restores. You'll be restoring plenty enough prayer with renewals and super restores, and normal restore potions restore your combat stats more than supers. Just use them whenever you are brewing like crazy or your prayer is maxed out.

Yes I'm biased and so I would recommend that you do herb runs when you have to make a bank run. Liking frost dragons is pretty subjective. Maybe you didn't have the right gear?

You can pickpocket H.A.M members or kill the guards in order to receive normal buttons. Then just right click and 'polish'. Ninja'd although my answer wasn't a question. :P
