Mage vs Ranged for Slayer
With those setups I don't think there'd be much in it; the con blast effect would drag magic up higher than it ought to be for t80 mh really whilst, as with any t90 setup, you just wreck shop on anything bar the ones with their uber enforced weakness policy (eg polypore and ascension guys) for dual ascensions.

The True World Map? Post your findings! [Updated 2014]
I find it kinda surprising they haven't got a more robust minus level system in place for dungeon and cutscene locating. So many of the early dungeons are located where they should be 1 level down, but then more and more and just chucked in any old gap. I feel like they should upgrade the game engine to hold say -5 - +5 game levels then they can put most instances/cutscene areas on -5 or +5 kinda out of the way and reposition most normal dungeons to be in the right locations on -1 or -2 if space doesn't allow. I mean some they put apart it doesn't even really make much sense why they need to be apart eg pyramid plunder rooms, would not be at all strange for say room 1-4 to be right near each other as a 'floor' then 5-8 as another 'floor' beneath it.

Andrew Gower's new game
Strikes me as very basic kinda dime a dozen type game, sort of thing I'd expect from like a uni student or a new learning dev as like an initial foray into larger scale dev; for some like Andrew Gower who was the lead dev on one of the largest marketing leadings mmos out there for a good part of the 00s it just seems rather lackluster and simple.

Maul skin?
The executioner's axe from solomans is the only buyable override I know of for mauls. The only others I know of are the infernal and icynic greathammers from world event 1, but if you don't have them already you can't get them.

10-March-2014 - One of a Kind
[hide]I don't think that this was the full power of the Stone we were fighting, only a part of the power of the curse resting on that specific dragonkin, which we fiddled with (which got us the response from the echo of Jas) for a bit. I think of what we did more as re-routing the curse to a less harmful thing, such as re-routing the rage to spread evenly across multiple emotions, than actually removing/destroying anything. The world guardians are chosen by Guthix' power, which ought to be inferior to the Stone.[/hide] [Hide] Maybe not due to the fact Guthix was a tier 2 God and the Elders are only the one tire above him [/hide]

On the asset reuse thing- Future Update Discussions
I don't think that proves anything. We have used the stone, Guthix has used the stone, That random fremminik from cutscenes in WGS used to stone, people in Kethsi used the stone - its hardly a full roster of who has and has not used that stone that appeared in the battle. But what if it were based on recent torments? We are currently there so that doesn't matter to much. We are already a torment to it. That's a possibility, but I'd hardly call it proof. I mean we don't fully known the history of the Stone, we know it changed hands several times during the godwars between Zamorak using it to ascend at the start and Saradomin using it to heal people mid-war and Guthix using it to end the fight. Equally I wouldn't exactly call Zamorak or Saradomin 'recent' torments their last use of the stone is between 2169 and 6169 years ago - since the 5th age was 169 years and the 4th age was ~2000 and the 3rd age was ~4000 A factor that would offer a counter is it took 3 dragonkin to kill Lucien and he hadn't even ascended, whilst 1 dragonkin was enough to pose a serious threat (serious enough that they all fled pretty quick) to the gods at Sliske's little party, which could infer they'd gained more strength which would in turn mean more stone usage between the events of rotm and then.- Future Update Discussions

Yup the sects being those who give in to the rage caused by the stone of Jas usage and the more cerebral who control themselves and work to try and free their race from the stone. The former being the 3 we have seen in cutscenes and quests thus far, the later being the guy who created the QBD, the guy who made the KBD and others involved in the breeding/research that produced all the dragons; one of them is supposed to be on fossil island as well.- 7-Jan-2014 - Player-Owned Ports - The Next Journey
If you not in the race for max distance it may be worth grabbing a few shield crew then heading back to the loop to get some levels on them to help make shield more successful- Future Update Discussions
^ Try all the times when asked about that primer they said there were plans and ideas for the lizard men and they would come eventually, thereby indirectly saying dragonkin, which already existed in-game, were NOT the lizard men. Because something can't be only plans and ideas and 'coming eventually' when it has already arrived in-game. Also the talk about their true name and the fact they are more vulture-like than anything; again conforming to the distinctly not lizard men box and the fact up until their most recent graphics they even looked distinct vulture-like and not at all reptilian.- Future Update Discussions
No they weren't, other than theories of people who quite happily ignored jagex telling us Dragonkin were not the lizardmen referenced in the fabled list of coming updates from eons ago. Jagex have very clearly said many times dragonkin were not lizard men, hence people continued asking of when the lizard men will finally come and why a month or 2 back osbourne finally said lizard men would be making their appearence in runescape this year.- Frost Dragons in Daemonheim
^ Mmm I'd doubt it'd allow the task to complete in In any difficulty beyond 1:1 since 1:1 difficulty is the obvious parameter to measure to check for it being a solo floor and thus allowing the task, to be completed on a solo floor, to complete. I mean even if you finish a 2:2 on your own its not a solo floor as such because it was built for a team.- Future Update Discussions
Based on their recent update pattern a monday release would not surprise me, but tuesday is probably also a safe bet.- Pokemon Thread
Thief can steal items in trainer battles but only for the duration of the battle. Tbh its not too hard to farm most useful items in XY anyway. Like using soft resets at inver to get the right pokemon then using false swipes to rig the score to get the evo stones. Soft resets also the bomb for shadow drop type pokemon and shaking object pokemon (eg save right by a shaking bin in lost hotel then open it and soft reset if its not a rotom) And using compound eyes + frisk + thief quite easy to farm other useful items (eg a chansey for happy eggs)- Future Update Discussions
^ But we are discussing the finances of Jagex in relation to the dev budgets for future updates, its not exactly off topic. Especially in the context of having had jmods talk about dev budgets being tighter and limiting project scopes and learning that so much we were promised foe 2013/2014 isn't even in dev at all yet.- Future Update Discussions
Well based on the financial figures Jagex are obliged by uk law to post year on year we can see they generally have a healthy profit of several million AFTER all the standard costs are taken off (eg wages, maintenance etc.). The last bunch of figures saw they clearing around 2 million profit and then as a 'one off' costs reinvesting ~5 million into the company for expansion etc. We may not know the ins and outs of running a company, but we can see they are making healthy profits (or at least were in the last figures published, the next batch due in the coming months will tell us how much has changed in the past year)- Future Update Discussions
If I had to guess...transformers I am more inclined towards the theory proposed on RSOF that it all goes towards GTA + Pizza + Booze -- that'd also explain all the delays and lack of updates. ;) Or it all goes into the pockets of the shareholders- Polls General Discussion
The trouble with their poll philosophy is that most of these instead of polling 1 thing (like legacy mode or the div familar) are pitting multiple updates that all deserve to happen against each other so quite predictably half the good ideas of things that ought to be lose and won't be repolled or considered for ages just because they are less popular than another option that is entirely unrelated.- Future Update Discussions
What I do find shocking is how simple it would be to stop making themselves look like incompetent turds. Its game dev, priorities change and shift this isn't news or bad. Yes it may be mildly annoying if the quest they talked off is put off for a bit. What is shocking is the lack of a basic pr process for dealing with content that is in the public domain, it's simple really: Have community management make a nice little spreadsheet or database of updates we have been told about noting what was said and when. At the end of each month produce a 'progress report' where you go to the devs and ask them about that content they spoke of and find out where it stands. Is it cancelled? If so why? Tech limits? Dev constraints? etc If it isn't cancelled has anything changed? Has it gone into dev or gotten a new eta or is it on the 'back burner' of stuff that can't be fit into the current dev budget but is still on the to do list. Publish said report to the news. Any content promise that is deemed as 'active' chase up every month, anything deemed as 'back burner' chase up every 3 months, anything deemed as an 'idea' to maybe be done someday chase up once a year maybe. Boom all of a sudden instead of us finding out off hand that basically everything we were promised and expecting isn't even in dev we get a 'blow by blow' account keeping us in the picture of what has happened to these promises. Will it perhaps bug devs and bosses to keep being nagged about this content so frequently? Probably. But y'know what? That's probably not a bad thing if it stops them making off the bat promises they fall through on because they'll actually stop and think no I won't say we'll do this update we haven't even concepted by the end of the year cause then Bob is gonna be hounding me every month for progress reports.- Future Update Discussions
My personal favourite 'LR - when will the Elf City be Released?. Mod Osborne:It will be released in two batches of four clans. The first batch is planned for September, the other later in the year.' Good to see that power to the players poll content cited with an eta of july/august is now already slated for later than expected and thats just half the city. The whole QA really is an advert on how NOT to run a games company. Literally 99.99% of the content talked about last year being set for 2013 releases or for 2014 they have now outright said isn't even in development yet and probably won't be this year with most of the rest being up to polls. Rite of Passage that Armadyl homeworld quest we were supposed to get 2013? In an upcoming poll. That construction rework we were supposed to have 2013? Not even started. Etc. etc. etc. How about instead of power to the players we have a year of power to actually developing the dam content you promised for once rather than telling us all about it then putting it off and failing to start dev on it at all.- Future Update Discussions
Wow, so no work on the construction and agility reworks, or the inventor skills has even started at all, and from the sound of it no work will start before the end of the year (at least for construction and agility anyway). It raises the question of why the heck they were made such a fuss about them at Runefest if no work was due to start for a very long time. Did they come up with some random ideas the week before Runefest just so they had something to talk about or something? I just think its a bit misleading and deceiving. More importantly it raises the question of why in june last year they told us the construction rework was coming that year.- Future Update Discussions
A jagex reason to kill them at any rate considering its liable to be awfully poor stats for the levels required to beat the quest rendering it useless as most quest completers would have barrows or gwd or nex or pop which will likely out class it. Unless of course it has some insane set effect for fighting dragons whereby in spite of poor stats wearing the full set makes killing the qbd with t70 weapons comparable to or better than the current drygore-able speeds.- Pokemon Thread
Tbf a legendary (or a ditto or a unown) with anything close to good IVs is bloody amazing for legit gaming considering you can't IV breed so its rather hard to have them with good IVs. - 10-March-2014 - One of a Kind
