If your idea of PVP is to wait for somebody to kill somebody and then cast ice blitz followed by ags spec, then of course god wars is a great thing for PVP. PVP went in the shitter after godwars, and all pvp videos were nothing but lurers and rushers. No skill pkers basically. Yeah because it's great now with the type of people that do ags rushing doing the same damn thing with granite mauls and/or dharoks. You can change the items but you'll never change the players. I won't even go into how granite maul rushing is much more effective at killing an unsuspecting opponent than AGS, or how 99% of players used AGS as +1 item for regular low risk rune fights as an alternative to the DDS, adding much needed variety and not being over powered at all. Runescape isn't a game of skill, it's a game of chance with some memorization and alertness required. "Mage gear Ice blitz switch to dharoks- double gmaul spec" rushing, with all 4 hits landing instantly, is probably the most skilled thing you could do in the game, ironically.

It removes the ambition to earn money to get the very best gear, as that takes a few hours at green drags at the moment. I think the real problem at the moment is Protect Item and the lack of "high risk" worlds, an AGS would be bad for the game because as you say almost everyone would use one and nothing else, if there were high risk worlds to use you wouldn't get people risking AGS's in typical fights, and rich high tier players would have the option to do so. I am very much against curses and claws being introduced into the game. I really must stress how people are vastly over stating the power of the godswords, they're nowhere near comparable with dragon claws. Just food for thought... Practical edge PK setups in 07: Whip/Scimitar + DDS or Gmaul Dharoks + DDS or Gmaul Range (Diamond/Dragon bolts only) Range (Knives/shortbow with Dragon bolts KO) Range (Knives/shortbow with Gmaul or DDS KO) Not a lot of options.

Start > Computer > System Properties is where you can find the product ID, I'm not sure if you can find the serial key though... I'm interested in this though as my old laptop runs windows 7 and i need a new key for my current computer too, I wasn't aware you could transfer them.

I've been using the official windows trial for about 90 days and must purchase soon, I want to buy it but it seems impossible to find just the serial key (no disk necessary) from anywhere that doesn't look shady... I'd like as cheap as possible, obviously. Edit: Home premium x64

Didn't' have time to watch the full video but you seemed to mention all the key quests and items, good guide. I didn't see you specifically mention rock climbing boots under the key items section but you mentioned death plateau so i can assume you mentioned the boots at a part I didn't watch. Just FYI a 13 prayer build is somewhat effective for the 10% strength bonus often with 0 cb difference than 11 prayer accounts.

Obby is more of a cute gimmick than an actual practical pk setup. It can be treated in a similar fashion to pure range, as the obby maul is just a glorified dragon bolt.

Little suggestion for these guides you're creating - write a brief summary about it in text in the thread so we can scim that rather than watch the entire video if the information isn't useful to us. "Flesh crawlers are aggressive enemies that hit for low damage. If you leave auto-retaliate on you will gain experience killing these enemies and only need to come back every 5 minutes or so to heal your character" Then you can cover more detailed information in the video such as the best locations and how to make them aggressive again etc...

I agree claws are overpowered. Too fast and accurate. Nobody is arguing otherwise. I think people are just misinformed about godswords, they're really not very powerful. "AGS rushing" is ineffective as the 2nd hit takes far too long, it would be much more efficient to ice burst-dharoks-gmaul*2 rush, that does I believe over 180 instant damage potentially. Even a simple DDS rush has more chance of killing someone than AGS.

I don't quite understand how GWD items negatively effect the game, it introduces some high tier expensive PVP weapons. This is GOOD! The current best PVP tool in the game by far is the DDS, a 30-60k weapon. You also have dharoks in a field of it's own. The whip has much better DPS than godswords for pvm. The DDS has much much higher DPS for pvm purposes too. The DDS has a similar max hit to the AGS, albeit less accurately. SGS offers healing at a very slow insignificant rate that often turns out to be LESS efficient than just banking with DDS. Although it does negate the use of guthans (also incredibly inefficient anyway). Their only real practical purpose is fight caves. Barb assault (and fighter torso) are being introduced soon, so the GWD would only add +2 strength total to the game, and high level richer players SHOULD have some high tier gear. Dragon has always been a lame vanity item, the degrading of barrows is insignificant (granted for the first few months when coins are sparse it's slightly more significant) The items are not game changing. The combat challenge is. There is a reason the defense difference is not important, because there are NO challenging PVM enemies to require defense against. (For the record I'd approve the GWD without the current god items, replaced with something weaker or completely different, but i find this unlikely to be presented by jagex.)

60 attack 70+ strength 1 defense - Do quests to get mithril gloves from recipe for disaster, do death plateau for rock climbing boots, fight using dragon scimmy and DDS for KO. Armour is unimportant, monk robes are good for cheap prayer reservation. Quest the attack or you'll be over 60.... Oh yes, get 31 prayer. Protect item + 15% str + 10% atk while pking. Do not get higher for protection or smite until you're higher level.

Autotypers are a gateway bot. :D Think about it though, you'll find them in the same shady areas the proper bots are. Hell, you can technically use them to speed your gameplay up. (Click cook x and have the macro type 28+enter) So i feel they should not be allowed at all. I agree a copy/paste system or a "personal quick chat" should be implemented.

The results of the poll have made future polls pretty easy to predict the outcome of. I am very worried how the community will react to things like GWD, GWD is intended for high level players that wish to PVM (instead of those that strictly skill/merch/pk - or just don't play enough to be high level), Probably 10% or fewer of the player base, these top players being able to GWD and bring powerful expensive items into the game would be seen as a negative by the common player that does not intend to use it and doesn't want richer more dedicated players to have better equipment than they do, so it's very unlikely such an update would ever reach 75% vote... Truly upsetting, as this time around we can't even blame Jagex for making the game less than it can be, it'll be the players.

They're F2P worlds which you need a subscription to play on; don't see how that's bad for the market in lower-levelled skilling products like swordies etc. Because you must be p2p to use them, the f2p community will be very small and there will not be a great need for things like swordfish and rune scimitars. There will not be a huge amount of rune ess because people can simply mine pure ess in p2p with pouches and energy potions if so desired. etc... It's a waste of otherwise good p2p world space.

I like the ditch, and I spent literally all of my time on scape edge pking for over a year in 09. I loved to fight, win/lose, quickly prepare for the next fight and get back out there, and the extra 2 seconds the ditch cost me never caused me any concern, I'd often veng as i jumped to get rid of both animations in 1 go, and jumping over the ditch gave you some time to think about what you're actually doing and appreciate you're about to be in the wilderness. I feel like the people voting no to these convenience things don't actually play the game. You want the awkward annoying opening up your friends list, scrolling to find the right person, clicking their name and type your message, rather than simply right clicking their message in your easily visible chat box? Why? What on earth is wrong with you? I don't see 07 as being an authentic representation of runescape in 07 (Here's some news, runescape in 07 wasn't perfect.) I see it as a great chance to take runescape in a state before they completely ruined it and do it RIGHT this time. Let them improve the game to the point it surpasses both EOC AND the old 07 servers. This is clearly what jagex is trying to do. Jagex are actively asking us, the players, what WE want to see in the game. Do not throw this opportunity away.

Runescape's Dev time is actually worth negative money if you consider how they have made their game worse over the past 6 years. Wasting their time should be rewarded. :P

Only one with any potential for negative effects is free worlds, it's just servers that could be better used as p2p worlds. "Easyscape" is such a stupid saying and isn't even being used for it's true purpose here. Things being made more convenient is good (IE right click message to pm). Things being made unbalanced to the players' favour (IE soulsplit) is bad for the game. edit: Wow unid's has a 50/50 vote, why do so many people favour misinformation? It doesn't even change anything as there are tricks to finding out what herbs they are before buying, something anyone dealing in significant quantities is going to do.

You can trade to silk trader in ardougne for 60 each (30k total) and make a profit, but it takes a little while.

I don't believe you must meet any requirements to get a visage as a drop. And they certainly exist, many are buying and selling them on the offical forums.

Ahh thanks very much for this explanation, as I could have sworn I had a scimmy pure in 08 and was confused how I managed it that early. I am going to suggest they add the removal of needing to talk to the gnome into the runescape forums content polls, as it's a small thing and they seem to actually be listening and implementing these types of convenience things. I love how Jagex are handling 07 so far.

Yes. I don't quite understand the argument against the GE... It exists purely for convenience. It makes obtaining items less troublesome and allows opporunistic players to make a quick buck effort free. I stood in varrock bank trying to buy 1k mind runes for about 20 minutes last night. Because there was no readily available competition I had to pay well above the average price for them. I don't understand why that's a good thing. I do understand the player interaction is greater when we're forced to hunt down players selling or buying what we want, but I'd rather interact in PVM or clans or PKing, something enjoyable and worthwhile.
