  1. It makes jad's max hit 454 and corp's max hit 348, but it's not even as good as that looks, as the average hit isn't half of these anymore, but much higher. The soak only applies to excess damage after 200. A divine would be better. I mean it certainly still has a use, but it's not as good as you say it is.
  2. Maul > CLS in literally any situation, where CLS > Rapier, just FYI. #CLSsucks
  3. I know kiting best from fight caves, you kite the 360s by attacking them, stepping 1 step away to make them use magic, then repeating. As you protect magic, you take no damage. Not sure how this relates to dungeoneering, but i've heard of trapping enemies behind other enemies to avoid damage which may or may not be the same thing. As for rewards, the skilling ones are pretty good. Herb especially. I'm a huge combat enthusiast so i really want to suggest weapons, but nothing beats the rapier for what you intend to do. You should always use dragon defender for slayer so the shields are useless. (They're pretty useless in general anyway. :P)
  4. A much easier quest with lower requirements and greater reward than the other options.
  5. Punch the monkey knife fighters. It's like blackjacking but you don't have to lure before you punch, so it's a lot easier. It's 150-250k xp/hour.
  6. Vyres, but there are better, even more afk, ones with lower requirements. Dom tower dag sentiels for example. You can literally AFK them for an hour if you use vampirism and good armour. Or just afk them for 5 minutes at a time and heal + restore offensive prayers + pots for more xp
  7. Steel titan is awesome, but if you already have the charms then it's not worth using the necklace on it just to save some cash. I assume you can make cash pretty easily at your level. So I'd recommend agility. You save about 4 hours of your life by doing agility. If you did prayer for example, you would be saving 1.25m/hour by doing it over agility, I'm sure you make more than that. Also: STOP WASTING LAMPS AND SOA ON THIEVING!!! Thieving is pretty damn fast xp, a lot faster than, say, agility, even at your current levels. (Not to mention xp from SOA is level based)
  8. I would do summoning. It saves you a lot of cash, and when you count the charm collecting, summoning is slower than both mining and fishing anyway. Most importantly, summoning is important. Having high summoning means you can make faster cash and do more PVM for fun.
  9. I always just stood in the same spot and AFKd it and 15+ monkeys stood in the 3x3 grid... So did everyone else i saw there. IDK if theres a benefit to moving around, but staying in one spot certainly isn't bad.
  10. Same thing happened to me a few times, but it was only 30 seconds and it came back fine afterwards. It only ever happens on one of those big american news sites (Get linked from reddit, click the link then facepalm when i realize my mistake) I don't have a solution other than find out which sites make it happen and avoid them if at all possible. Edit: I do use adblock and i imagine that site really tries to destroy innocence with adverts, much like most american news, so that's probably what's going on for me.
  11. Yep. I wasn't under the illusion i was the only person to ever discover it, but i did discover it and thought I'd share as it made my life a little more comfortable :P
  12. They don't ruin lures, they're actually quite useful for delivering killing blows to avoid overkill. Absolutely use geyser titan, I'd recommend using the best combat familiar you can even at level 20 summoning, because why the hell not? There isn't much to manage, btw, your titan will do the work himself for the most part, you order him to attack on the rare occasion he isn't doing it himself.
  13. The difference between the Runescape communities' complaints and almost any other rapidly changing game's community, is that other developers actually listen to their players and develop around what the community wants, which means there is less to complain about. I'm honestly surprised by how many Yes's Jagex got. I love the game, but i do NOT respect Jagex as a business or an entertainment provider. They've been at this for over 10 years now and constantly make what can only be described as rookie mistakes. This wouldn't be so bad if they learned from their mistakes, but they're far too stubborn, best demonstrated, i think, by the rock climbing boots update. (SoF too, but that's at least understandable on a short term profit sense which they sadly seem to be aiming for recently.) I would absolutely love if another company bought Runescape from Jagex, as long as they demonstrated they were interested in the long term profit and not to milk it for all it's worth and then move on.
  14. You can transfer money through red portal or wildy, interestingly, you can't duel it. You can trade money TO the trial account, just can't get it back (in normal ways) The limitations do suck, but they sort of make sense in a half assed way to annoy bots. The thing i find funny is that it limits stuff f2p can do. For example, you can't duel cash in f2p worlds, you can't have 300 addy arrows, you can't buy more than 75 lobsters at a time... But really, you can't complain, you get free membership and you can do everything a real member can do. It's just a little inconvenience.
  15. You just got level 99 in your favorite skill. What did you get for it, a cape with worse stats than capes you already have and a 1% increase in xp you get? Gratz. I just got 99 summoning and now i can destroy enemies much faster with my new buddy, mr steel titan. Also got 99 attack and can now use the most powerful weapons in the game deamonhiem. More skills need ultimate unlocks to make getting that 99 more significant and appealing. A few examples: 99 agility, you restore run energy as fast as it drains, effectively giving you infinite run. (PVP run draining will have to change slightly to accommodate this, otherwise it is balanced.) 99 smithing, you can now smith without an anvil. This is really lame but i struggled to come up with something appealing and not game breaking. I'm sure jagex/community can do better. 99 firemaking, handcannon does not break now, at all. You get 15% hp boost from logs. (Really like how jagex have already handled the cannon/logs, but 99 doesn't make any significant difference, you might as well stop at 90 for max hp boost) Obviously people already get 99s just for the bragging rights/aim to complete the game as far as they can, but people like myself do not care about these as much, and just aim to get as much fun out of the game as possible, bouncing unlock to unlock in terms of levels for thing they want, these final abilities are just the incentive they need to go for 99.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7G6b7oUBMQ Obviously not as fast as unnoting with picknmix, but it's a lot cheaper. A lot less clicking than normal summoning.
  17. It seems like it has some amazing potential on bosses. Anyone tried nexing with it? Corp? (Sure it's half damage, but it's very accurate with possibly groundbreaking DPS potential) QBD? Also could be great on dagg sentinels for training, but i doubt it would beat chinning in price or xp.

At least I can get good practice on them because it doesn't take 62 waves of boring, brainless bullshit to reach them. The worst part about Jad is you can only get one go at him after an hour of killing swarms of wimpy-ass monsters. Yeah totally agree. I was even considering making a flash based jad simulator at one point for practice, before i realized how much hard work it would be. :P And really guys? SoA seems a lot better than range to me, I'll give you that it's not extremely accurate, but it's still enough to outshine range easily. (I wonder how the new crossbow fares, it should reach overpoweredmode before the healers come at which point you can probably outhit their heals)
  19. Lol, i personally misread it as to GET 5k. Just quintuple what we said, little shorter as he'll level as he gets it. (So >5 hours)
  20. Youre a fairly low dg level, so I guess you get like, 30k max dg xp per floor? which is 3k tokens. Assuming youre not dging solo/with an appalling team, you should get your floors done in 20-25 mins tops. So two floors, nearing an hour total if youre slow. 30k a floor at level 40ish is a major over-estimation. At my level I'm still firmly in the 30-40k zone for med floors. At level 40 you'd be looking at more like 15k-20k a floor and that's IF you can actually do it as a team floor, considering it's not even up to the usual floors people do (abn2, occult, warped) He obviously meant large. 30k is possibly still too high at 42 dung, i have no idea as it was so long ago, but you get >70k for larges at your level.

Yay you killed jad! It's finally over! Now go kill 7 of them that can hit through deflects in one inventory, 2 of them at the same time. :D
  22. Why exactly? The best for profit bosses are: Nex (Use range) Kiln (Rapier is best but you don't melee too much, whip is good.) Bandos (Use maul) Corp (Use spear) Glacors (Use mage) QBD? (???) He will probably spend much of his combat training at waterfiends, using goliath gloves and not rapier, to ensure 99 summoning early. I mean he could use a rapier for training, but it's not that useful for high level PvM. Seeing as you have no plans to max, just ignore slayer. It's a boring, useless skill that will slow down your combat training immensely. Quest ASAP to unlock glacors (As well as DT gloves, SoA and other useful stuff) and then kill those for 99 mage + lots of charms + some profit.
  23. I can't see any armour better than Pernix being cheaper or easier to acquire than Pernix. I'm expecting it to be quite gimmicky, like additional damage but low defense, which could be interesting. The "elitist" view is totally justified by the way, if you don't have pernix you WILL use a lot more supplies and ruin the team. This isn't karils vs arma here, the difference is very significant. I've also been worrying about the DFS. On one hand, super antis are probably gonna be fine and DFS will probably become more common with the QBD and thus crash even further. On the other hand, it might be almost essential and multiply in price as soon as this is realized.
  24. So theres gonna be enough money to make a significant economy boost but still too little for me to care about on a personal level. More coins is exactly what the game needs right guys? Those years of money sinks and pointless degrading were just for... Fun!

Tipping Forties 4 best friends. I found them doing "let's plays" on SomethingAwful and their website, and then they started doing podcasts so i listen to those while skilling. They mostly talk about beer, movies, video games and top 5 worst things that week, sometimes can get political but always entertaining. Some crude language. Not technically a podcast but it's as close to one as it gets, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington ran a radio show and you can download the whole thing with the music cut out, just them bantering with each other. Some really funny moments but they tend to repeat themselves a bit in the 100+ hours there are. They also have some more recent much more professional podcasts but i think you have to pay for them. Also listened to a few educational/scientific ones but none really shine out. TED is a great place to find these. Edit: Oh wow oh wow oh wow. Tipping Forties is breaking up and deleting everything. Such awful timing for me to recommend them, lol. They deleting everything in "a few months" so probably best not to get into it unless you have the room to download it all and listen in future, assuming it even appeals to you.
