In 07 you were forced to choose small amount of def xp or large amount to finish the quest... Ruining pures. Is this still the case in the 07 server? (This would also mean you can't get addy gloves at 1 def too!)

"Summoning is broken right now" How-so? I've just came back to EOC and I notice it drains my special-hit-good bar whenever I heal with the uni, it does it with food too so maybe it's just the healing? In terms of combat familiars being awful... More-so than previously? Hell in fact you no longer need food for graardor so would the titan hit much if you were to forego bothering with a BoB? I hate change.

If you want to be rich I'd recommend getting 55 slayer and then doing barrows constantly. Early sets of dharoks are going to be worth a ton, even the worse drops like torags still have the best armour stats in the 07 game. The main problem with this is that other players won't have things valuable enough to trade with your valuable barrows gear! Mwuahaha!

Hey backin, I can't say for sure but I would guess you would NOT get it for the discount price as they will likely just go by "Has this account been a member before?" and not look into the finer details such as how they became one. I could be wrong but I'd urge you to err on the side of caution here until someone can answer the question with certainty.

So I actually gave it a shot before reading any advice and boy was it simpler than it looked. "To use your abilities: open with Slice, use another ability (Dismember), then Slice, then another (Sever), then Slice and so on to build adrenaline quickly without getting all your abilities on cooldown at once." Yeah this became immediately obvious. I used all the multiple target attacks possible, stood still near graardor and all 3 minions and spammed the keyboard in this fashion. The multiple target damage soulsplit my hp to a safe level, and every single kill went the exact same way, no missing, no lucky streaks, just the same thing over and over.. Prayer swaps and food were unnessessary. It was really boring, actually. Now my main question is: What should I kill for money? On a side note - I'm really disappointed... The actions bars and abilities give the illusion of making hte game more complicated and strategy driven, but in fact it just makes it simpler, more predictable, and dull. Heres hoping the 07 servers kick off and GWD is re-introduced to those among other things. edit: doesn't dual weild suck?

Complete noob to EOC... Confusing and scary, I don't like change! etc.. Wanna know what my action bar should be and how i should use it effectively... Also what can I solo now for good cash? The world seems changed, graardor is certainly no longer the squishy baby I knew and loved. Also also... What gear is good now? I look at my chaotic maul and see it's X damage with X crit rate and this means absolutely nothing to me. Same with armours... I have most top tier pre-EOC untradables like void/tok cape but only 8m cash to splash.

Changing to a really low screen resolution did the trick perfecly, dunno why I didn't try that straight away. :)

That's broswer zooming in, and it's not working for me in firefox, the game window stays a static size while the adverts and stuff zoom in. Something to do with how java is used.

I've started playing on a 40" TV but the game is obviously designed for much smaller screens and doesn't fit the massive one... Zooming in with the browser does not change the size of the game window, and there is no in game option to zoom in 07. I'm not necessarily looking for a runescape oritented solution, if anyone knows a cool browser or resolution trick that would make it zoom in I'd like to hear it. Thanks.

Interesting. So i assume chaotics are still the best available until this level 90 stuff comes? I'm not sure what "ports stuff" is but I'm sure I'll find out. Glad to hear void is still useful! What is up with stuff like capes and rings now? I heard they took the strength off a lot of stuff, but zerk ring sold for 2m still so i assume it's not completely worthless? What PVE should I be looking at doing solo right now with less than 10m to gear up?

Hi everyone! I want to know what the BEST weapons and armour is at the moment. The best way to make money or obtain cool stuff. Any cool new fights or features. Plus any other general advice you'd think is important to someone that's been out of it for half a year. Also how has summoning fared the EoC? I've almost got charms for 99, interested to hear if steel titan is amazing or worthless, same with uni and yak etc... I'm sure I'll get back int the game and have many more specific questions in future, hope you are willing to humour me for the time being.

I use a balance of: cost ~ speed ~ practicality ~ enjoyment Summoning comes first. It's one of the slowest skills and also one of the most expensive. It's also one of the most useful, almost objectively. Collecting charms isn't super fun. Just makes sense. Agility after summoning. Just because I dislike training agility yet find it fairly useful. Slayer is more efficient if you crunch the numbers, but that's before you apply usefulness and fun, slayer is actually pretty fun for me (Well, less horrible than agility anyway :P) yet it has pretty much no use.

Void is incredibly easy to survive in if you soulsplit effectively... There's no reason to use karils Oh and btw, use extremes. No real reason to overload.

Dreadnips aren't worth it. The extra effort and concentration required to effectively use them for what is at best <1% overall time saved including earning the nips. It's just pointless. Claws are accurate, at least to the point 1 claw spec is worth a lot more than 1 goliath punch, and EEE is really unnecessary. Soulsplit makes it easy to survive. You could even use bandos (Probably have to flick protect/soulsplit while they're aggressive) but again it's probably not worth the sheer effort and concentration. Just use void.

Mithril dragons are very good green charms. Why you would ever want green charms is another question.

3 ovl flasks? Are we going for a 90 minute kill here? Oh lord are we actually going for a 90 minute kill here? And booo. I'm 84 range. Seeing as melee is better kill speed I'd much rather just do that to start with. I'm pretty good when it comes to actions per seconds and all that jazz, find kiln a breeze, I just need to understand the patterns and how I overcome them.

"Dragonfire: The QBD breathes powerful dragonfire, which can hit you regardless of your location. This attack's damage can be reduced by using dragonfire protection and completing Song from the Depths" Oh. I should go do that. That guide is handy but it still fails to mention which protective prayers you should use when. All of the screenshots seem to be praying range, but I think the guy in them is always outside of melee distance.

Looking in the usual places and all i can find is "first impression" guides, which are very likely less than ideal. Just wanna know the general method for a fast QBD kill. Spec restores + claws? Range only? Uni or titan? Mage defense gear? Dreadnips? Protect prayer? Coming into this completely blind so if you could explain the essentials or link to a good guide I'd be thankful.

Did you time travel from 2002 to give us this advice?

Too bad corp doesn't drop effigies. ;(. Ahh. Meh. Makes sense that i don't remember ever getting one. Still. Charms are good, with teaming being best(?) charms in game.

Where does corp scale into this? I'm sure he's about 500k a kill (Well that was 8 months ago, dunno how sigils have fared). And you can kill him faster and with far less supplies than QBD. Corp is also pretty good charms, something that tends to be overlooked a lot. Say you get 12 kills an hour (5 minute solos including banking. Very easily achievable with BGS and sharks) you'll get a good 100+ blues 50+ crimsons. Much much better if you FFA team with lower DPS partners and split loot, but obviously keep charms and effigies. But yeah glacors are great charms. Did them for 99 mage (Well 150k off 99 right now, too lazy to finish.) and got yak in the process.

Using spec rest pots for slayer just isn't practical. That's something you have to click every 30 seconds and a bunch more special attacks you must do (DDS would be most efficient spec weapon on most tasks, so that's an extra spec every 30 seconds.) The only real reason special restores can be seen as worth using is when your extra damage means you will take less damage, or there is intense competition where every DPS increase counts, or defense is so rediculously high that spec weapons are actually a very significant difference in DPS. All IMO and open to debate, of course. I quite like vampirism for slayer. Well. I don't slay. But if I did, I would half ass it. And vampirism allows you to AFK pretty much everything. Moreso than without vampirism.

It's been fairly easy for me to find free worlds, and nobody has attempted to crash me mid trip yet.

Hmm i have the same question really. Had a duo trip in elite void and tanked like a boss, he very rarely made me eat. About to duo in bcp and tassies... I think i still pray melee so im not very confident this is a smart move. On the other hand 68 spec rest doses and claws = zammy wont last long enough to really hit me :P Gonna read this thread after trip. Throw some infomation at us, rs geniuses. Edit: Just for the record, should you wear melee (bandos) and pray mage? Or mage def (void/gano) and pray melee? They seem similar effectiveness. Also, rapier or maul? Finding it difficult to tell them apart.
