Grandmaster Quests questions.
The master quests typically need you to have almost every other quest done to start them. So by the time you can do one of them, you might as well do them all. :P Ritual of the Mahjarrat is the most useful one in my opinion, unlocking glacors for good stable money, and storm of armadyl, easily the most overpowered attack in the game. This quest requires you to do WGS, which requires 270 quest points, so you're almost quest caped by the time you start it lol as i was saying earlier.

Activation rate of Goliath, Swift and Spellcaster gloves?
It's awfully depressing that this is the case >.> Not only do most MMOs not lie/be wrong about everything and anything they ever say, they actually give in depth gameplay mechanics and statistics, even drop rates, to the players by default, instead of leaving everyone in the dark for no clear reason. This thread has gotten a little side tracked. Anyone out there willing to do a little testing with the gloves? :)

Activation rate of Goliath, Swift and Spellcaster gloves?
I recall reading about using the SGS spec for that years ago: If you hit a 0 and the healing effect happened, it was a hit zero, if it didn't it was a miss. Or something. Was years ago. Likely to have changed with the HP change. Yep, but there aren't any screenshots of it afaik. Even then, it doesn't really prove anything. We also know that the bugs in the lumbridge caves can hit 0s after the hp update, but not before. Someone on the accuracy formula claimed that 99 def had a slight advantage over 99 attack as well. Surely that would be very easy to find out by creating a 1 strength account and very low strength bonus and then using another account with the same attack level and equipment and seeing the 'accuracy' difference. If the higher strength account is more accurate, it's clear that the 1 strength one was hitting 0's. If they're similar, you can't hit lower than 1. Wouldn't take very long to find a notable difference.

What should i do for xpweekend? (Goal is to have all quest reqs)
62/77 Agility 67/74 Thieving 72/76 Crafting 66/67 Hunter 67/76 Mining 71/74 Smithing 72/74 Firemaking 73/76 Woodcutting 58/65 Farming Those are all the skills that i need in no particular order. I am looking for the best skill to train AND the best way to train that skill. I currently have 10m bank but may make more before the weekend, assume 1m/hour money making if you wanna work out whats most efficient for my time. I am mainly looking for training methods that are fast and not crowded. Possibly 10-20m worth of fast leveling and then something relatively cheap for the rest to take advantage of the remaining bonus XP.

Void stares back reward
I'd personally use on summoning. You can easily get 200k+ magic xp/hour if you wanted, summoning is always like >70k/hour at the very best though. (In fact if you burst lobsters you'd get 99 mage and summ at similar times, mage would come first, making the book best for summ. :P)

Magical defense
The most common numbers i hear are 30% and 33%. 33% seems more plausible to me but I'm pretty sure I've seen the people in metagame say 30% more often, and they're usually right. (Plus, never expect jagex to do what seems sensible. :P)

Berserker aura makes 134 strength possible.
Can anyone think of a practical use for this? It only lasts 10 minutes and takes 5 hours to recharge. It also lowers your defense by 50% It does not work in wilderness or red portal. It does work in other PVP though. The only use i can think of is giving you that small bit of help for killing a quest boss, it's too limited to use for regular PVM.

Activation rate of Goliath, Swift and Spellcaster gloves?
I've also had 0-0 swift hits, but I've never seen a Goliath glove spec without dealing damage, which is especially important seeing as it's generally used on high defense creatures such as corp. I'm sure it's the same as the other gloves though, just waiting for some confirmation.

How can I get a rhino cape?
Thanks a lot, this does help! I was assuming I'd not bother with range as it's overwhelmingly weaker than melee and mage anyway (That, and I've heard of people only maging the caves) The gear recommendation sounds like pretty much what i was going for, too. Guess I'm gonna work myself toward getting EEE and nips pretty soon (I'm close to both anyway.) and then i can tackle it and see just how difficult it is for myself :3

Activation rate of Goliath, Swift and Spellcaster gloves?
Wow, that's way higher than i expected. Awesome if it's an accurate representation. (Do we know if there are any conditions for the special activating. Such as hitting above 0 etc..?)

Activation rate of Goliath, Swift and Spellcaster gloves?
Just curious if anyone has a rough idea what the chances are that the gloves will do their special effect. I'd personally guess about 1/30 with swift gloves, but i do not have the other gloves and that is a very rough estimation based on less than 500 shots.

Is corping good money?
Corp is hypothetically decent money on average... But you must be willing to do it for a very long time and invest a lot into brews until you get your first sigil. Until then, you'll typically make a small loss on brews and ganodermic recharges, with the small loots such as onyx bolts. With a small team you will actually get a pretty good blue charm/hour rate. Overloads are a must if you're going to fight him solo/duo. With more people you can get away with extremes or even supers, and not using brews to heal, but you may have difficulty finding a team that will accept you. Turmoil (and SS) is awesome and again, you'll struggle to find a team if you don't have it. The best part about corp for me is that it's actually pretty fun to do. So if you just wanna have fun with a group of friends, or alone, you could certainly do worse than corping. The adrenaline rush of getting that sigil is intense, too. :D I'd recommend getting overloads and turmoil over the xp weekend. Prioritize overloads over turmoil if you can't do both. Basically, corp if you have some money to blow on supplies, don't expect a profit immediately, get ovls/turm ASAP.

How can I get a rhino cape?
Hi. I've read a lot about the rhino cape and i really want it. But I'm not entirely sure the best way to tackle the caves. 95 prayer, overloads, 99 str, 97 attack, 87 defense, 94 mage, 79 range, 88 summoning, 96 constitution. Have rapier, maul, arcane stream, imbued rings, regular fcape, will have dreadnips before attempting. I do NOT have SoA unlocked. (And I'm a long way from doing so, so I'd really appreciate a way that doesn't require it.) I only have about 11m currently, although i can make like 50m before attempting the caves if absolutely necessary. So yeah. I need to know what equipment, what inventory, what summoning, what levels i must gain if any... I'm gonna get a few fire capes today so i can practice jad/have a spare to unlock kiln :)
-
What major things does having a uni unlock?
Hmm i didn't even consider fight kiln. I'm going for the cape soon so this is epic :D As for the bosses... Eh. I don't think I'd actually use uni at bandos, i very rarely use food as it is and the tort is well worth it for banking the nooby drops, and the rest of the bosses i can do, i don't do. I am looking forward to unlocking TDs and Glacors to try it out though, seems it would be great for those. Will be cool for nex too, i guess, although I'll probably need yak before considering this seriously. As for healing... Meh. Soulsplit flicks seem to do the trick on practically any none boss creature, i struggle to think of a single one that I'd need uni at... I guess it's less effort.

What major things does having a uni unlock?
Going to get 88 summoning today. I already have turmoil and overloads. I know uni is amazing, but I'm not sure what I'm actually going to use it for...

Terrible new graphics!
The armour looks better. You just dislike change. You'll get used to it. My main concern is that while it looks good, it all looks waaay too similar. It's like they had one design and milked it for every single armour piece in the game. Makes pking difficult when you can't tell if your enemy risks 5m or 500k. I agree rune and dboots look pretty dumb now, that's it as far as items i actually use though.

Soul Wars as a mean to obtain pets is bad.
Your obviously a fool then. The required time to spend on SW to get a JAd pet is like 16 hours if you win every time. But because Soul wars minigame is so bad when it comes to allowing players to join agame - the time may become 10-15 hours extra = JUST WAITING in lobbies. Again your a fool, and it's players like you that make Runescape a worse game. You go to a game called Runescape, and go to a minigame inside the game called "Soul wars". You wait 20 mins - and get skipped a game (20mins of waiting). You get skipped again (+20 mins more of waiting). Yes, "this is a genius" thing to require people to go through. You're implying that you deserve this pet but can't get it because the minigame sucks. The minigame is one of the requirements. You won't get your (useless) pet unless you play the awful minigame. While i agree that the waiting needs to reduced and changed completely, i don't think they should let you not complete the requirements for receiving a (useless) pet. On the contrary, if they did change the minigame i think they should also increase the number of games required for the (useless) pet to take the same time as it did before the update, because others suffered that torture for the (useless) pet. And it's "you're" not "your". What are you, a fool?

[Video] Corporeal Beast Solo Guide - AKwaspRS
Bolt specials activate regardless of accuracy. Using rune only increases the chance of killing the core before you stun it. Also for soloing you don't need to focus on attack more than strength, as your damage won't lead to corp focusing on you (because he already will be.) So zerker (i) and rhino cape would probably be significantly more useful than ardy and onyx. Other than that, great guide. A % chance of the Goliath glove special activating would be very useful.

Soul Wars as a mean to obtain pets is bad.
Are you implying that's what i am doing with Soul Wars? Asking them to give me Jad pet for less than required? Yep.
-
what levels or equipment (non DG) do I need for TD;s?
You get 4 points per vet boat win, and full void (melee and range helm) costs 1150. So 288 games. Probably wanna do conquest instead at least for a little while, and definitely spend 150 more points on the deflector.

Soul Wars as a mean to obtain pets is bad.
Yeah, I've always avoided soulwars, even though it has the best xp reward by far, because of the ridiculous amount of waiting around you must do. It's just a bad system, i'd be much happier to wait less and get less reward but more action. With that said, theres no reason to be upset. I can't afford full torva because it costs 600m. I can either accept that it's too much and never get it, or i can work my ass off making 600m to get it. What i can't do, is demand they give me it for less than 600m. (Lol the last time i checked, torva was 1.5b... Now it's 600m i may actually start working my ass off :D)

what levels or equipment (non DG) do I need for TD;s?
Handcannon and a godsword. Void. All you have to switch is the weapon and the void helm. Looking at your sig, your levels are fine, although you could obviously do with 99 range and firemaking. When you dung I'd recommend a maul if you insist on not switching much, or a rapier if you want to be most efficient but more effort. Rigour after that.

Whats should I buy?
Dragon claws has a more powerful special attack than any godsword, including armadyl godsword, with even the standard cheap strength equipment. It's extremely frustrating how almost everyone thinks godswords are better because of cost and attack requirements. I'll use your stats and some cheap gear for an example: 66 strength, super strength potion, ultimate strength prayer. glory, nezzy, barrows gloves, dragon boots, berserker ring claws = 258-129-74-64 = 525 AGS = 533 AGS won by 8 damage! That means it's better! Right?! Wrong. AGS attacks at a speed of 3.6 seconds, claws attack at 2.4 seconds. You can get 2 claw specs and 1 whip hit in the time it takes for 2 AGS hits. Plus that was in noob gear. Heres one in good gear. I'll use your stats and some good gear for an example: 66 strength, super strength potion, ultimate strength prayer. fury, nezzy, bcp, tassets, goliath gloves, rhino cape, berserker ring (i) claws = 287-143-81-71 = 582 AGS = 573 Slower. Weaker. Less accurate*. More expensive. Worse. *AGS looks more accurate with a mighty +159 slash bonus in the above gear, but claws with their +84 slash bonus are actually more accurate as only one of the first 3 hits must connect for full damage, or the last hit for 150% damage. This makes claws more accurate on pretty much any enemy in the game.

Squeal of Fortune Wheel Prediction/Timing Discussion
The first mod quote is clearly stating that time is NOT an issue. You will not miss out on a prize (IE, the one you were going for) because of a time related incident. "The best way to maximise your chance to win is to use your available spins every day, so lady luck has as many chances as possible to shower you with favour." Also means that the only variable is luck and the player has no control over the results. I'm not saying that it IS luck based, I'm just saying that the mod said it was and you'd have to be veeery reaching to interpret it in any other way. Mods are wrong/lie all the time, though. I highly doubt you actually can time it and game the system, but I'm still very interested in the results, mostly just for rates on the rares. The major problem i see with this thread is that many will not submit their 50gp, but as soon as they get a lucky divine they'll find this thread and post it without the other 500 spins they failed at, screwing up the results. (That, and blatant lies.) Until one of you actually gets at least 2 rares in a short period of time, I'm not going to believe your methods.

28-Feb-2012 - Squeal of Fortune
Completely agree. Just useless things to acquire more money by throwing in some ridiculous flashy update. Yeah what kind of business deliberately makes updates with the intention of making money from it?! Oh... Wait... All of them.
