  1. Hmm i actually used that set up, but used c maul instead of rapier. Also didn't have the amulet switch, and brought only sharks. I think my main issue is not praying against the right attack, which will hopefully come with practice. It's a shame it's such a long walk from a bank (Sure it's no DKs or GWD, but it's still inconvenient enough to deter me from purposely trying new things out :P) Which would be the best armour to tank TDs in general? Forgetting about their accuracy bonuses and practicality for a second. (Poly vs bandos vs karils)
  2. Just unlocked them. Excited i go for a trip. Manage 2 whole kills and tele as I'm out of food... Yeah... How do i improve my already impressive 2 kills per trip? I has: Overloads, Rapier, Maul, 75m bank, arcane stream, EEE, dreadnips, LOW RANGE, relatively HIGH MAGE, 89 summoning. I do not has: SoA, Void, any other chaotic. (Poly > range?)
  3. Woops, i got the 2m from my none speed run lol. Yeah, speed running it would be closer to 1.2m, making the profit 6.6m per cave, or 8.8m an hour. (Assuming market onyx. I think it's lower than market at the moment.) I do not count leeching as a reliable money maker because you have to find someone that is willing to pay for the service and you have to organize a team and wait around for people, you can go do the fight kiln whenever you feel like it. But sure, if you can sort it all out, it's good cash.
  4. The best money maker in the game, that does not rely on above average luck or merching, is fight kiln collecting the uncut onyx. With steel titan and SoA, you can complete the caves in 45 minutes. You spend about 2m on supplies. This leaves you 5.6m profit per cave. That leads to a profit of 7.4m an hour. This is above what you'd expect from nex or any other boss in runescape. Of course this assumes you don't die and waste time/supplies. That's the best one that i know of, anyway.
  5. Void is considerably better damage with deflector. But you should be using DDS for your specials when meleeing... Assuming you're banking the bones, you can afford to bring a few emergency monkfish and eat/drop for bones, instead of the EEE. (And why overload in the first place? Extremes are fine.)
  6. Really bad update and shows how runescape is dying... Buuutttt... Doesn't really effect me. I don't care if someone else gets 200m runecrafting experience for $20000. So on second thought, sure, go buy $20000 worth of spins. It will encourage jagex to add more micro-transactions and less enjoyable updates, but it'll keep the game alive.
  7. It's legal. It's just sad. It would be pretty funny if this inspired the most aspie no lifers to actually go out and make money, so they can buy runescape spins. As people say, working minimum wage is technically better xp/hour than grinding certain skills. It's all just very sad, i want to laugh but i find it hard when the game i spend so much of my time on slowly RAPIDLY decays into nothingness. I'm now officially embarrassed and ashamed that i still play runescape.
  8. I wonder how common the drop rates are for spins, and how the rates differ from different enemies. The xp lamps from them could very well be the new effigyscape. (I'm guessing it's very rare, but that's why we test.)
  9. I'm really disappointed in you guys that are actually buying the spins. I appreciate the covering of the update, but you're just giving jagex the money that they're destroying their game for. If everyone decided to just not buy spins (I can see it's going to be seen as dishonorable anyway, much like buying RSGP) then jagex would be made to look like fools and the game would remain fair regardless of income, the thing that jagex has bragged about for a decade. (Although in hindsight, F2P vs membership fees kinda proved that wrong already.) Seriously though. Do not spend $100s on runescape. Find a better game, of use it on your psychiatrists fees, if you were actually considering spending money on runescape.
  10. Wow. That's exactly what i was gonna say. It would be cool if they found a way to make it not completely dominate SWH/BGS/Anchor/Darklight/Goliaths, yet still have it drain the stats of the enemy and be the prefered weapon in certain cases. (Making corp weak to warhammers along with spears would be a cool way to do it, and make the currently ridiculously overpriced SWH *slightly* more worthwhile. Dunno how it would fit, canon wise, but then again, how do spears in the first place?) An alternative would be making them very common/easy to acquire and just let them sink into the game as a decent low level crush weapon. Spec identical/similar to dragon mace, to give it some use for pvp.
  11. What is this supposed to be alternative to, isn't max range the thing that basically everyone has been using since the existence of jad? You outhit the healers through lucky swift gloves and high hits, not something that you should count on and certainly not a 'method'. This is basically SoA - 50% of the power. Still a cool video, but it shouldn't be treated like a guide.
  12. Glacors are probably your best bet. They give a bunch of blues and crims, as well as a decent profit/hour and good magic xp. Otherwise I'd recommend getting 95 summoning with your current charms, and then using iron titan in the chaos tunnel waterfiends fighting many waterfiends at the same time with scrolls and summoning potions, this is a lot better than fighting them one on one in ancient cavern. I'm pretty sure Goliaths > Chaotic maul for charms/hour. Void with deflector, gano if you find it difficult to survive in void (I've never personally done chaos tunnels, but know it's obviously more kills/time) Familiarisation gives you triple charm drops for 40 minutes. Again I've never personally done it, but I'd assume it's well worth doing. Don't forget you can do troll invasion for a huge xp lamp today, that would be 50k+ if you choose to use it on summoning :)
  13. This. Your problem was that you were making topics that were extremely irrelevant to 99% of the players here on the forums. It is like an Amish guy complaining about his horse and buggy to a group of people that all have cars and electricity. That is so amazingly witty and accurate. I love you for that post. For blaze, why not just try new methods, instead of quitting? Try dungeoneering. If you enjoy it, get a chaotic. If you enjoy that, use it to kill tougher enemies than you could with your dragon, if you enjoy that, kill them enough to afford things like overloads and turmoil, before you know it you'll be maxed with the best gear killing the toughest enemies, and enjoying every second of it. Or, you'll find that boring too, and quit, which is fine.
  14. You won a sara sword and a dragon platebody in the space of 2 days? And conveniently didn't take a screenshot of either? Suuuurrre.
  15. Yep. I'm not even sure if this is considered impressive now days, but it's my goal. (When i achieve it I'm going to bump it to 30. Then 35 so on and so forth.) My gear will be: Mainly because it will ward off most potential crashers, which would ruin my goal if they entered the room. Secondly because from what i can tell, it's better kills/trip than the more tanky gear anyway, at least for me. My inventory will look like: My tortoise will look like: The current strategy is as follows: Double claw spec Graardor by drinking 3 spec rest doses per kill for the first 13 kills. By this point i will probably be on my uni and will find the kills easier without the claw specials. (I'm having a very hard time working out the value of a special restore flask VS a shark in my inventory.) I will use the chaotic maul on Graardor and will soulsplit inbetween hits. (Not mastered this yet, expecting many deaths >.>) I will then move onto the rapier to take out the minions, mage>range>melee, SS/protection flicking all of them, restoring to or near full health. I will be picking up loot like rune 2h's which does make it more difficult to achieve the goal, as i will have less room for sharks when the uni comes out, but i can't justify leaving several 100k on the floor =/ I'd greatly appreciate all the advice the pros can throw my way! (I currently have an extra 30m cash on top of the gear in the image, so keep that in mind with gear recommendations.)
  16. Ambler pretty much said what i was going to. :) Goliaths > Hasta, not for pure damage, but for overall damage as the defense lowering will make your z spear kill corp much faster (and thus heal a lot more with soulsplit, meaning you don't have to eat, meaning you can attack, meaning you heal more with soulsplit!!!) I think 5-7 minutes is a stretch, though, expect closer to 10.
  17. Seems difficult to prove. Logically, assuming jagex made no mistakes, the answer would be no. The answer is probably yes.
  18. I'd have to agree that the kiln is the most challenging combat activity there is in runescape, aside from personal handicaps like fighting 4 tds at once with a sling and air strike. Plus it's probably the best guaranteed money maker in the game, with an onyx every 50 minutes or so.
  19. What are the stats on the elite ones? I'm guessing they're going to have decent range offense, which is a new thing for task armour.
  20. Welp. Cannonballs just got cheaper, i guess.
  21. The top is +2 magic accuracy better than ahrim's robe top. The ganodermic leggings are +1 accuracy over ahrim's skirt... But the degrading is definitely not worth the tiny bit of accuracy if you're praying/safespotting your targets.
  22. It's a shame the only people that care about runescape are runescape players. Otherwise people would rip into jagex for their poor communication skills and they'd be forced to listen, and the game would be much better for it. And ironically, until it becomes a better game, no one is going to care enough about it being a bad one.
  23. It would be nice but not nice enough to justify taking the runes on boss trips, or whatever else you do that stops you from tabbing to varrock and walking 10 steps to the GE. A sell item option would be overpowered and let you camp frosts or whatever else without a pack yak or alching. A buy option would be overpowered as you could just spawn food and supplies to camp a boss. Placing offers that automatically go into your bank and collecting money from offers would be perfect for flipping and wouldn't be game breaking, though.
  24. Dharoks usually quenches my bloodlust.
