11-April-2012 - Dungeoneering and Shop Improvements
Haha. Runeshark totally predicted the keys will be in toolbelt so you can't look at them. Typical jagex. Eh that's harsh, I'm sure they'll fix it in 2015 :D I'm pretty amazed and happy that tools actually stay in your toolbelt over different floors. So you basically never have to create one again. Has anyone tried adding a tool higher than their level? (Prom pickaxe with 70 mining, for example)

Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
...I hate corp. I dunno if he randomly "resets" the defense drains or something, but i tried the drain then fight mehtod and he just utterly destroyed me 3 times in a row lol (I figured I'll get him next as I've added lots of bgs specs into the mix, but nope.) Think I'll just stick to trios.
-
Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
Yeah i know you can just reduce his stats and then take him on in another trip, but isn't that just the same thing but slower? For example, after you're finished draining his stats, why go to the effort of banking, when you can just pull the spear out and not use any food? Not to mention the corp will already be half dead from the stat draining.

Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
So i just solo'd corp for the first time in my life... I brought 9 rocktails, 10 brew flasks. (1 spec rest flask, 1 ovl) I used 9 rocktails and 2 brews! :D (Kill was 9 minutes... All 3 bgs specs missed and I gloved for way too long, i think) So i think I'm gonna replace flasks with vials and continue this. The idea is to only eat the fish but the brews are there just in case.

Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
I'd definitely still take a few emergency brews to outheal the unlucky combos, but i don't see how all brews could possibly be cost effective. Assuming your sigil rates are accurate, you'd average roughly 425000 coins per corp from sigils, lets say regular drops average 75k for a nice even 500k corp. While that seems like quite a lot, all brews would bite a huge chunk out of it for their actual use in terms of speeding up the kill. Of course that's just based off those speculated rates, the truth could be way more/less.

Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
So. Brews are completely necessary for a kill? I was hoping i could use sharks and actually make a profit from none-sigils. Is there ANY idea on how common sigils are? I honestly can't tell if it's 1/100 or 1/10000. (I've killed less than 100 but witnessed 1 sigil, i guess that's just intense luck) I just wanna try get a rough idea on how much i should be willing to waste to speed up kills.

Efficient corp soloing (goliaths)
So I'm going to unlock goliath gloves today, maybe tomorrow if I'm feeling lazy, and I'm interested in their special effect for corping. What I'd like to ask is what would the ideal gear/inventory set up be to get the fastest kills at the cheapest price, with low/no chance of death. Note that i do not have any dungeoneering shields or enough money for ely/divine. I can use defender/dfs/bss... My current understanding is that i punch corp till he's on about half hp, and the core comes out, at this point i stun the core and switch to spear, and happily stab away on the weakened Corp until he falls over and drops a sigil. By efficient i mean NOT using 25 sara brew flasks a kill, but using something a lot cheaper/a lot less brews. Same question for duo, should that happen to be faster than solo.

quickest 25-72 mining?
Starting at about 60 mining, granite is better than iron. I hate dropping stuff so i tokkul ring bank and use bandit camp lodestone back to the granite, and it's actually like 300k/hour profit, and 40k/hour xp. Pretty great, as far as low level mining goes.

Up to lvl 68 summoning familiars?
The kyatt is actually great for slayer without scrolls. As it will always be going in and out of combat as the creatures die so quickly, which means it's max will be ~300 almost constantly.

The Most Amazing Fire Cape! + PICTURE OF FIRE CAPE WITH TOKHAAR-KAL
I don't like how every item in the game is beginning to induce seizures. Firecape has always been one of my favorite item designs and i see no reason to "improve" it. Rhino cape on the other hand could definitely be improved, and it would make more sense for it to be fancier, as it has much better stats. At the end of the day, i don't play the game for graphics, so as long as the new cape doesn't lag everyones computer in a 2 mile radius *cough* auras *cough*, i don't really care.

buying 6m slay xp?
All of your dignity.

1 Def Pure.
Anything above 60 attack will ruin your pure for wildy fighting. (Sure, you'll still steamroll the even more failed ones, but you'll lose a lot of power : cb ratio.) I wouldn't recommend mage boxing, as 30% of your defense comes from the defense skill. Range is similar, as you don't have the defense, but you can always find someone with 70 range 50 defense and destroy them with your 99 range, if they're stupid enough to let you ;)

Squeal of Fortune + Buyable Spins
I think it's quite insulting to add a tiny feature of the game alongside stuff like Quests, Skills, Tasks etc, but that's just a personal view. I miss the summoning tab...

Squeal of Fortune + Buyable Spins
Pointless way to make your players hate you. Much needed nerf, but left far too late. Yay! This does not bode well. ...God damn it why did i have to be right. inb4 elite loyalty lucky $79.99 rapier of derp, 300 strength bonus, obtainable only though irl $ or irl time limited luck (IE, spins.)

Mostly AFKable ways to train these skills?
Yeah i maxed mining on the first chance i had, so I'm boned till next tick for that. I wouldn't call it afk though, you get 30 seconds per click at the very most. I decided to just not play runescape while i played skyrim and it was a wise choice, unless i find something where i can afk for a good few minutes (only thing that comes to mind is combat, which i don't really need) it's going to be too annoying and ruin the game for me.
-
Mostly AFKable ways to train these skills?
Sigh... I'm doing holy symbols, because i figured 28 bars would take a while. It takes like 50 seconds per inventory and is awful xp >.> I'll look into gems. But i think I'm just gonna do ivy, as monks are considerably worse xp than c2/heavy, while ivy is essentially the best.
-
Mostly AFKable ways to train these skills?
I just got skyrim (I know, I'm late to the party.) so i wanna play that. A lot. But i also wanna train. Skill - Current level : Level needed Mining - 72 : 76 (Do not have liquid lava thingy unlocked and will not unlock it.) Agility - 72 : 77 Crafting - 73 : 76 I guessss i could do with training woodcutting and fishing, but the above skills are my main priorities for the moment. So if you don't have any for the above, but know these, shoot. Fishing - 71 : 91 Woodcutting - 74 : 80

Quick tip for training slayer..
The time taken to calculate it would be more than the time lost by having the slayer ring in the inventory, unless it's the extreme case where you need 1 more kill (In which case any sane person would drop 1 dragon bone or whatever and get the kill.) Maybe not if you do it in your head mid-trip, but even then you have to take the restting of the xp counter and stuff into account, it's hardly a game changer. It's an interesting tip but it's not really practical.

Disruption Shield at Duel Arena
That doesn't sound like an autoclicker. If I'm understanding correctly, there's nothing automatic at all about a setup like that. But I don't see how that would save time. You still need to manually move the mouse in order to do all of that I think? Apologies if I'm majorly derping here and missing something very obvious in your post. Well the mouse would be moving in different directions and doing different things with the press of a key. You just said that's against the rules in your other post. :P I honestly don't see why regular mouse keys are legal in the first place, jagex have decided their poor interface is a feature of difficulty and not a fixable bug (typical jagex.) so doing anything to make that easier seems like cheating to me.

Disruption Shield at Duel Arena
Brb, making Bills before this is common knowledge. (...I'm not sure if I'm being serious.)
-
Disruption Shield at Duel Arena
I was talking about setting up an autoclicker to click on spell book with the 1 key, right click SoA with key 2, left click cast on key 3... Etc for the entire attack pattern, which would avoid any out of game speed problems and make the technically possible plausibly possible. I understand (and appreciate) that this is against the rules, but i only remembered "1 key for 1 click" part of it so though I'd check.

How do i shot TDs?
So yeah i went for a few trips and once i got the attack styles down (He changes to a style and only uses that for about 5 hits, and does an animation to show he's changing attack style) it was really easy to survive with only uni... *When killing one a time and not being destroyed by about 5...* Which happens a **lot** to me due to impatience/fail luring. It limits me to waiting on 1 spawn which is just depressingly boring. My problem now it's safe, is they're so damn slow, i saw woox's videos (I know it was silly to think I'd be able to imitate the legend) and i seem to be doing about 1/4th the speed of him. I guess i just need to learn how to lure 2-3 of them safely.
-
Disruption Shield at Duel Arena
I was just going to ask that. Couldn't SoA and vengeance be used together if you just spell book swap? As i understand it, there is no in game speed limit to prevent you from doing so (Or at least it's less than the 4-5 ticks each SoA must be cast.) I don't think it would even require an insane amount of actions per minute, and there are always mousekeys. (Are autoclickers that click a predefined spot, but only once, legit? (not that jagex would be able to tell anyway.))

25 Graardor kills solo one trip. No brews. [Ongoing goal]
So I've decided to time my runs and note how many kills i get, and note all significant drops. This is really just so i can get an idea of how i am doing and compare different tactics, as well as getting a rough idea on the GP/hour for me. I can either post it here, or in notepad, so i might as well share it with you guys. My best trip so far was 21 kills by the way! It's definitely doable! I'll be editing each run into the OP pretty much daily, 2-3 runs at a time as that's what i typically do a day.

Fist of Guthix 1-1
Just legit it. Familars are not effected by the accuracy nerf, so your steel titan could very well kill your low level attackers easily till they rage quit or you get 3k+ charges. Or you could just 6-7 hit everyone and purposely die when you have more charges than them.
