  1. At the bold bit. Yes that is what freestyle is for unfortunately doing the various unlocks in the tower requires specific lists of bosses to be killed and these bosses can ONLY be killed in endurance or climber for it to count AND are not unlocked in freestyle until you kill them in endurance or climber. (The exception being Nomad who can be done via his special) As it should be. I was talking about if he wanted to kill a boss for fun/experience he could use freestyle.
  2. Keep killing until you can't kill the next boss at which point you die or reset, and you easily get all bosses killed well before reaching 500 kills. So this is completely unnecessary. If you want to kill a specific boss, that's what freestyle is for. But yeah, jagex is horrible for listening to their playerbase, maybe they would be a tiny bit better if you actually posted on their forums instead of this random fan site, though.
  3. The only real combat use as mentioned is the hand cannon. The higher your firemaking level, the lower the chance of it exploding in your face. (literally.) The handcannon has the potential to hit over 570-570 in the wilderness at the same time, with quite good accuracy. This means you can literally kill anyone in the game without them even having a chance, if your hits are lucky. :P Assuming both hits hit, which they often do with the accurate handcannon, that's over a 1/10 chance to kill any player in the wilderness outright. That's rediculously powerful and if you target the right victims, can be very profitable.
  4. Vine would be best. Zammy is very unpopular so there shouldn't be any crashers. It's going to be very difficult for you to solo though, expect less than 5 kills.
  5. It's weird that this is still the case, really. Combat has always been profitable because bots generally couldn't do it as it was dangerous, yet humans did it because it's fun. Now with most bots gone you'd think the more boring things, like cutting magic logs, would be better profit as there are fewer people that are willing to do it, yet it hasn't happened... (Although judging by boss drops, it seems to be edging that way.) Telegrabbing white berries is pretty good money if you have completed summers end and can teleport right next to the berry spawn. Although they're crashing pretty hard post BXP.
  6. Nevermind. Recent update screwed this method.
  7. GE is one of the extremely few great updates to come from jagex since 2005. It's awesome and i can't believe i used to play the game without it. If you want to have old fashioned haggling go to world 2. If you want to rip suckers off and make profit, you can still do it, it's just much easier and more impersonal. (Put low offer in GE. ???. Profit.)
  8. Doesn't honestly seem like a very exciting series to be honest. The majority of viewers will be slayers, that are already sick of the tasks from doing them themselves 1000 times. You do seem to have a great relaxed type of commentary and i can see myself enjoying if you manage to keep the chat away from 'Heres me killing an iron dragon. Heres me killing another iron dragon' and bring up interesting topics. (Not saying you did this, but in such a long series with no sense of surprise and guaranteed repeat tasks, it's inevitable.)
  9. The short answer: No. The long answer: Yes, to an extent. Only go with enough people to make the boss easy enough to kill with low cost. For example, if you can 6 man corp only spending 15k a kill and getting 25 kills an hour, you will be getting 1/6th of 25 kills for a cost of 375k. That's the loot of 4.1 kills an hour for 90k a loot. This is much better than soloing and getting 4 kills an hour at a cost of 3m, but worse than trioing 15 kills an hour at the cost of 33k a kill, which is the loot of 5 kills for 100k a loot. Of course those exact numbers won't apply to you personally and you should experiment to find the optimal team size for your style. The same applies to nex and other bosses. Just work out how much you lose on supplies, how many loots you get, and how much you think the average loot is. If you mean mass as in 100s of people. No, it's never more efficient than using a small team. But it can be more fun or relaxing, so if you were going to do nothing and don't want to do a small team boss hunt, it's better than doing nothing.

Heavy rod fish while low alching the fish as they appear in your inventory. C2 fishing is best once you hit 90, maybe even 80, but it takes a lot more concentration/clicking/effort. Just cook the best fish you can on a stove/fire near a bank. Cooking guild is good if you have access to the bank. You can use the lunar spell bake pie for fast experience, but it's very expensive and you don't need the extra magic experience. Curries are also very good xp, but expensive. I'm not so sure on fletching in terms of efficiency. Broad arrows (and later, dragon darts) are extremely fast experience for a lot of money. Fletching yew/magic longbows is much slower and cheaper. I'd assume you should go fast and expensive, from the 2m/hour you can make, but you may wish to look it up before investing a large amount of money into it.
  11. You do not.
  12. I think wfs are high slash def, so dragon stuff would have to be really bad for a whip to be better. Dragon stuff IS really bad \:D/ And i don't know about vine whip, but rapier comes close if not exceeding sara sword/z spear, so i wouldn't be surprised if whip did the same to dragon crush weaponry.
  13. Making unicorns/swamp titans/geyser titans are similarly priced with supers/prayer pots. While supers are not the fastest way to train herblore, they're still a lot faster than training summoning.
  14. Summoning. Not only is it much much slower to train, it's actually similarly priced anyway.
  15. No... You can EASY do 2 inventories of extremes, even with a pin, doing 1 inventory per login slows you down immensely. Time yourself for the first few runs to get a feel of how long you're taking. If you find yourself too slow to do 2 (Must have terrible internet) then I'd recommend at least doing 3 inventories per 2 logins. (Deposit all. Withdraw your supers and herbs. Make extremes. Deposit all. Withdraw super and herbs. Logout. Login. Make extremes. Deposit. Withdraw supers and herbs. Make extremes. Logout.)
  16. Your boosted stats drop by 1 every 60 seconds. Everytime you login this timer is reset. So you just have to logout and back in every 55 seconds. Yep, that's pretty much it.
  17. So would a divine/ely be BETTER than an EEK? (If so, would pernix pieces be a bigger upgrade if limited to one?) because i do plan to have a few 100m before i get a yak and all the dungeoneering items. The main thing i seeked from this thread was confirmation that i didn't need a yak to get a few kills at nex in a relatively good team and make more money/hour than alternative methods such as solo bandos/tds/glacors, looks like that has been crushed, which is cool as it'll only make me work harder on getting the yak.
  18. Are you sure this is wise? I think it would be more useful to see the amount that are lost right after they are fired. Not questioning your method, just saying what I would find more useful. I'm sorry but it's just SO much more convenient for me, i know it may not be the best way to count it but the accumulator saving is not the main concern here and i don't wish to focus on it. The results from current tests should at least give a rough estimate of how many bolts you will lose when not safespotting a large monster. @ Hedge, that's cool. I'll definitely look into that, but I'm also going to continue my tests, if only to supply more data to those ones.
  19. 60m bank. 80 range. 90 dung. (No CCB or shields, yet.) 88 summoning. 90 defense. 95 magic. Overloads and turm. 97 attack. 99 strength. Have Rapier and Maul. I'm thinking i should chin 99 range, which should be ~30m. Then get CCB... After that, i don't know what to do. I plan on getting 99 mage, and lots of charms, from glacors, but pack yak will take quite a while and I'm hoping to do some nexing without it if possible. So tell me what i vitally need for nex, and then what i should get to improve my nexing in order of importance. (Stuff like rigour)
  20. Yeah me too, that's the main reason I'm interested in doing it. Hopefully someone on tip.it will be willing to fire a few k bolts to help the experiment, if not i can always just do it on my pure.
  21. Thanks for that, don't have the levels so didn't really go hunting them, assumed they were shared between everyone and it would be pointless to even look on day one. At least this makes them a daily with guaranteed bolts, at the very least. I'm guessing they're going to hover around the same price as rune bolts. They're powerful, but they don't actually have enough KO power to be used for pking (unless you specifically aim for people in mage gear, good luck with that.) so they shouldn't rise above dragonstone or onyx bolts. Also, you don't get them back, to justify the similar to rune price.
  22. I am going to test the activation rates of ruby, diamond, dragonstone and onyx bolts. Rumour has it that the range level and equipment has no effect on the bolt specials activating, and i am going to be assuming this is correct during the tests. I'm also going to keep track how many bolts are lost, using ava's accumulater. These tests are done on account WITH elite seers diary complete. If you do not have it complete and would like to submit data it would be greatly appreciated for comparison. Ruby (e) bolts: Fired: 887 Activated: 59 Bolts lost: 261 Activation rate: 6.65% Bolts loss rate: 33.98% Diamond (e) bolts: Fired: 0 Activated: 0 Bolts lost: 0 Activation rate: 0% Bolts loss rate: 0% Dragonstone (e) bolts: Fired: 0 Activated: 0 Bolts lost: 0 Activation rate: 0% Bolts loss rate: 0% Onyx (e) bolts: Fired: 0 Activated: 0 Bolts lost: 0 Activation rate: 0% Bolts loss rate: 0% All bolts will be used on the decaying avatar, bolts that are dropped on the floor WILL be counted as bolts lost as the accumulator did not pick them up.
  23. They're 125 range strength, dragonstone is 117 and onyx is 120. Both of those can hit higher due to their special effect, though.
  24. And just what would you "show off"? Your dumb luck? It is no different than "showing off" your wealth by buying trimmed armor. To be honest though, I'd be more impressed by someone who got the "Lucky Divine Spiritshield" than a trimmed completionist cape. What ever happened to inidividuals desiring items for their own merit; not taking into consideration what might impress others? Food for thought. Because personally, I ascribe more value to the "impressing" factor then I do to the simple "cool" factor. That is why I strive to be the best. I'd rather show how much better I am then most people, then simply use an item I might find slightly more attractive. You have a long way to go sonny. Meh. Everyone does this. The only difference is some people deny that they do it, ironically, because it's more impressive to pretend not to care. And that's not a baseless generalization, it's literally in your genes.
  25. Graa attacks at maul speed, which helps a ton if you allign your attacks. Huh. Rswiki says that his attack speed is 5 ticks. Tip.it bestiary and Runehq don't note attack speed ( :???: ) I remember seeing rswiki's speed and never doubting it, I'll be sure to keep an eye on it next time i do bandos.
