Are you a Viking? I admit, when there's a viking afoot at my campus, s/he gets a lot of dirty looks. They come here thinking they can steal all our chickens and soil our quilts; we'll have none of that.

Even though I don't play a whole lot of xbox in general, I can't imagine not owning one. It's nice knowing that if I want, I can play Halo or Call of Duty any time. Going to look for some neat tapestries or 'wall cloths' (whatever you want to call them; I have no idea what they're called) for my room at university. I don't want to get posters because those get old fast, and I need something bigger to make my walls less boring. Hoping I can find some aquatic ones. Then, a bike ride and at 4 I'm going to meet up with this lady to try and get some used furniture for my house.

I'm gonna be experiencing that this coming week with my camping trip into the mountains - carrying 40+ pounds on my back while hiking miles and miles in the wilderness. It'll be awesome, but there's no better feeling after a long, tough hike than being able to sit down and rest for longer than a few minutes.

I'll wide grip your shit!

My Vans classics get beat up pretty quick but I still wear my red ones which are in decent shape after a year. Of course, the rubber on the sides of the shoes is basically completely detached from the cloth, but that isn't obvious unless I bend my shoes. Returned the Vans I got. Funny, they gave me cash instead of re-crediting my debit card. Anyways, looking to buy this set of Nike's. I like the style and color (black/cedar jade).

Just got back from watching The Dark Knight Rises. My quick thoughts on it: [hide= may contain spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet] I liked the plot development and how they [further] developed the characters. Batman didn't annoy me as much in this one as he had in the previous two movies. I liked Bane in this one, simply because he had that 'don't give a [bleep]' attitude (similar to the Joker). I felt that his ending was a bit abrupt in light of the focus on him the whole movie. Definitely an interesting plot twist in the end. I guess I liked it and didn't at the same time. I felt less satisfied with the ending (Gotham being saved) knowing that the woman was behind it all instead of Bane, tbh. As a side note, Bane's voice was surprising but great at the same time. I've seen pictures of him and I never would have thought he would have the voice that he did. It was hard to understand at times, but I liked how it wasn't the usual low guttural voice; higher pitched, more nonchalant sounding, I guess. Anyway, I still find the Joker to be a better villain simply because of his motives (his motives being more chaotic and sporadic yet him executing them with stunning precision and planning). Overall, it was a good movie, I think. I liked the Dark Knight's villain better, but I think the overall development in this movie was more noticeable in the Dark Knight Rises.[/hide]

I appreciate it, Kalphite! I'm checking them out. In the future I'll probably ask you for some other bands, too.

Just got back from a bike ride. Mom wanted me to mow the lawn, so I did. My little brother ran over two new sprinkler heads that my older half brother had installed the week before. Little brother didn't tell anyone. Idiot. So I called my half brother and he said he'd fix them later today. I think I'll probably return some Vans shoes that I bought last night because I don't really really like how they look and the feel weird on my feet (older sister kinda pressured me into buying them last night). I'll probably look into splurging on some Nike SB Dunks (low). Really wish the 'Barf' colors were still in stock. I love that shoe. Either way, the Vans I got are also a bit too dark in color (mostly black and dark grey). I'm looking for maybe a more colorful/lighter shoe since I already own a pair of dark navy Owen's. And then I think my dad is going to take me to see the Dark Knight Rises. He really wants to see it again and he wants me to come along since I haven't seen it. It's his treat, so I figured why not. Also need to drop by my 'adopted aunt's' house to see what furniture she has leftover from her kitchen remodeling. Maybe I'll find some things for my house up at university. Heck, I said I had to do a lot today. After writing it down, it sounds like a hell of a lot more.

On the subject of drunkards, when a person who is drunk immediately thinks they're everybody's best friend. I've probably said this before, but my roommate is one of these dudes. He feels like he needs to do everything in his power to make sure everyone at the party is having just as much fun as he is, and if not, he'll either 1) laugh at you to try and lighten up the mood or 2) (usually with girls) he'll go 'boyfriend mode' on them and try to get them to be happy and hug them and kiss them, etc. So [bleep]ing annoying. I bring it up because we're moving into our house next week and he'll be 21, so he'll be getting drunk often.

I woke up in hour increments this morning, the first being at 7:15am. All the way up until 11:15am. And every time I woke up, I thought about what I could be getting done if I would just get up, but then I thought I would see if I would continue waking up in hour increments, which I did. Now half the day is over and I still have a lot I want to do.

Ah, thanks champ. Listening to the Wonder Years atm.

I'm guessing the guy lived? And it's always a joke among the physics department at my school, but everyone teases us physics majors about how theoretical our material truly is, especially when you reach high level physics. The engineers always say we're the ones who come up with stuff that theoretically should work and they have to figure out how to make everything actually work. It's also funny how much of physics is hypothetical. There are so many assumptions (granted, many of them are sufficient assumptions for the situation). I always find philosophy a nice break from physics grinding. Any class without mathematics is a nice break, tbh. My brain would probably shrivel up if I only took physics courses every semester.

My little sister is still pretty good friends with my ex-girlfriend (ex was her assistant basketball coach and got along with her real well). Little sister was hanging out with my ex and her little sister today before she leaves for college. Apparently my ex's current housemate used to go to school with the boyfriend of the girl I am interested in now. My little sister came home saying how much they didn't like this girl because apparently she was really mean. Also, they apparently facebook stalked the crap outta her and looked at all her pictures and decided that she was quite ugly. My sister came home saying, "She is not attractive at all." So I wonder why they think she's mean. She's been really nice to me and my friends. I have a feeling it's my ex and her friend, though, because they can get really [bleep]y (something that after realizing contributed to me breaking up with her). I bet this girl just didn't take their shit and they didn't like that. Also, there's people who simply aren't very photogenic and look totally different irl than on facebook. I'm one of those people, and so is she. She looks way better irl than in her pictures on facebook. And I told my little sister this, but she wasn't convinced. I've been told numerous times by my guy friends that she's unbelievably hot. Anyway, just felt like writing a bit about it. I know it's dangerous to put the girl you have feelings for up on a pedestal and refuse to see her in any sort of bad light. I've done it twice now, and feel really stupid looking back on it. So I'm trying my hardest not to do the same to this girl. It's just hard to believe, considering how well I know her, that she's a really mean girl. It's more likely that my ex and her housemate were the mean ones.

It's so difficult to pack clothing ahead of time. I'm moving up in two separate moves (in order that my family doesn't make separate trips up to my university's city). One of them is this Wednesday, and the other is the Thursday after the following Thursday. So I'm trying to figure out what clothing I'll be able to pack and take up there for the first trip, while making sure I have a decent amount left at home for the whole week before my second trip.

16.8 mile bike ride today. Been huffin it, though. I think I average around 13 mph through the whole trip. My knees feel better since I'm not going 40+ miles, lol. But I think tomorrow I'll add maybe 8 miles to the trip by taking a certain loop that the river bike path has. Feeling good. I know I really didn't want ride a bike because I don't want my legs to get big, but I didn't have any other options for cardio because I have no pool and I can't run. And I definitely wasn't going to spend the rest of the summer sitting on my ass doing nothing.

I don't see any bear. har har har. :3 Spent some time arranging what I will bring up to my house on my first trip to my university on Wednesday morning. Trying to figure out what I'll be able to fit, etc. At this point, things are looking good, as my room in the house is going to be bigger than my room at home! The only problem is I can't fit some of the furniture that I have in my room at home in my family's van...

When the threads in these forums load ....wait.... faster? o.O Ierno about you guys, but the pages are loading fast for me now. At least, at the moment. And I guess it annoys me when I buy some clothing and I end up not liking it and never wearing it. I wish I could take all the clothing that I've worn less than 5 times (there's quite a bit of it) and get the money I paid for it. I bought a pair of Levi pants for $60 that ended up being too tight on me despite the exact same dimensions in their denim pants fit perfectly on me. But I decided not to return them because I wanted to tough it out and wear them anyway. Well, that is my own fault, because now I rarely wear them. And then I find out that Zumiez sells the exact style of pants I like for twenty dollars cheaper, and they fit and look much better.

I was going through a drawer in my desk yesterday and found this drawing that my ex-girlfriend drew for me. There was a note in the back that I had forgotten about, so I took it out and read it. And I realized how much I miss the feeling of being someone's everything. I mean, it wasn't specifically being her everything, but just someone's in general. It's a damn good feeling knowing that someone is completely caught up in who you are. It sucks being lonely on that front, tbh.
