Instead of attempting to defeat Cockroaches for Rune SQ shield, why not try killing Mature grotworms? As long as you can get at least one kill per trip, you should get a Rune SQ kinda fast.

What if you tried waiting until the 14 days trial expired? You could activate it and not use the account for 14 days. You can see when the trial will expire when you log onto your account on the main page. When you accept the trial, it doesn't even give you the option of logging into a F2P world. Once you activate the trial, you get the character creation screen, then you are automatically sent to a random world at the Burthorpe Tutorial.

I just recovered an account I had created 5-6 years ago so that I could start a F2P pure. Had to do that because Jagex forces us to accept the 14 days free membership trial, and when we accept it, there's no way around it as it automatically logs you into a Member's world at Burthorpe. So I recovered that account that was still Lv. 6 Combat, it had Training Sword and Training Shield all this time :thumbsup:

Goliaths give more strength bonus than Dragon Defender anyway.

Pro-tip: Turn off Bloom ;)
