  1. Dagannoth Kings Time and Date [pending]pur_1380996000[/pending] Date: Saturday, October 5th Time: 2 PM EST Other timezones: BST (British Summer Time): 7 pmCEST (Central European Summer Time): 8 pmAEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time): 5 amPST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 11 amMST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 12 pmCST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 1 pmEST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 2 pmServer and Location The server will be announced when the event starts. We will meet outside the dungeon entrance on Waterbirth Island. Friends' Chat Levells The Boss We will be killing all three of the dagannoth kings. Each king is highly resistant to two attack styles and weak to one, so make sure you are familiar with them. We highly recommend reading the official Tip.it guide and familiarizing yourself with the boss mechanics. Equipment and Inventory Equipment: We highly recommend using Akrisae's robes or Warpriest. It will allow you to attack all three kings without switching armor. Ritual of the Mahjarrat is required to wear Akrisae's. If neither are an option, any level 70 gear will work, just bring a set for each attack style. The helmet is from completing the emissary tasks. It is a level 60 all class helmet that does not degrade and is easily replaceable. Almost any level 60+ helmet will work. The Fremennik Boots 4 increase damage by 10%. In regards to Balmung, drygores > enhanced balmung ~= chaotics > lvl 75 > lvl 70 > balmung Inventory: Remember to bring weapons for all three combat styles. After completing the elite Fremennik diaries, you can set your lyre to teleport to Waterbirth. I highly recommend bringing plenty of food. You probably won't need it, but dying is a huge pain, so it's good to be safe. Requirements: We recommend at least level 60 armor and weapons. You must bring all 3 combat styles. Happy hunting!
  2. 1 too many zeroes there :p Also, just try selling one of the Normal Magic/range pots if that's what you decide to go with. Those are still fairly new, you'll want to make sure ge price is actually right before you sink lots of money into it.
  3. When did this get changed? In the last few days, I think. Someone posted a pic showing their solo. 91 minutes and a -79% death modifier later... Congrats! Kinda addicted to hard mode/dg, so if you don't want to do them alone... ;)
  4. Those numbers seem to be a fair bit lower than the numbers you came up with before. Any reason for the difference? Just wondering, since I'm collecting as well and have just been going off of yours.
  5. Keep in mind that it was hinted that energy is more of a secondary ingredient, rather than primary in the next skill. Sounded like we would use much less energy, and a lot more other materials. (from that reddit ama) I think it was said the relationship between Div and skill2 was not as clear/simple as mining/smiting, etc
  6. I thought rocktails were ~40k/hr normally? And you're saying the aura makes them that much better?
  7. After 4 hours, filled with many deaths (both the king's, and ours :p ), and no drygores.....it's over.
  8. Unless things have changed (patch notes and player responses haven't told me otherwise), signs of respite were glitched and didn't work :/ You wouldn't be putting anyone at risk by coming. Really, just bring your best gear of whatever style you can. It may not be "brilliant", but this is a mass. It's meant to be fun and a learning experience. Splits are a nice bonus :)
  9. You could choose to focus on dps, yes. As a general rule, I recommend defensive items over dps items for masses though, because things always seem to go wrong (One of the tanks died at Nex, she ended up chasing a random mage all around the room :P). Sheer number of people means it won't make much difference. Like I said, banking is negligible, so you could start of w/ dps and see how that goes. I'd go with your subjugation for the other slots, if that's the case. If you need defense, gano would be a nice jump. Deflects are nice at KK, because I'm pretty sure he's the only 1 of the 3 big bosses to actually take damage from them. However, that goes back to the lack of stat boosters. He has a defense level of 85, so at sub80 levels/weapons, you're going to want all the bonuses you can.
  10. Something tells me this sounds more like the new Tasks they added with Divination, rather than the new month challenges.
  11. You definitely want to minimize the number of swaps you do. An amulet of fury and a skillcape/obsidian cape would be better, as well as a 6th age circuit or berserker ring. Ring of Wealth doesn't do anything in lootshare Unless you want to wear the acb/shield, you could grab a black salamander and the tar/ammo it uses for cheap. I'd also recommend melee type items for your boots/gloves/helm, not only to cut down on item swaps, but also to help your defense. As far as prayers vs. curses goes, you don't have access to any stat boosting curses at that level and would be better off with prayers. If you've done King's Ransom and have Piety/etc, that's great, if not, then you can just use the next lowest stat booster.
  12. He spawns weak to magic, so magers would be useful. Ranging his magic form is easier/safer, as well. If you're using an abby whip, I don't think you'll hit very often, though you might get lucky if he switches to range phase. Honestly, I don't know how much things have changed there. I haven't been since before all the updates/tweaks to him or weapons. Don't let this discourage you from coming, though. If you can mage, that might work out better for you. It's easy enough to bank and change gear if things don't go as planned while meleeing. Also, if you have any experience tanking/provoking, you could opt to do that.
  13. The Kalphite King Coinshare - Saturday, September 7th Time and Date Date: Saturday, September 7th Time: GMT: 5:00 PM US Eastern: 1:00 PM US Central: 12:00 PM US Mountain: 11:00 AM US Pacific: 10:00 AM Australia/ACT: 3:00 AM World: The world will be specified right before we start Host: @Levells Friends chat: Levells Co-hosts: TBD [pending]gra_1378573200[/pending] Server and Location We will meet outside the entrance to the Kalphite King. We recommend clearing the blocked passage prior to the event, so that unnecessary health is not lost. Depending on attendance, we may need to split into multiple parties, so be sure to listen to the hosts. Their instructions are important and should not be ignored. GETTING THERE There are three main routes to the exiled kalphite hive, noted below and colour coded on the map: Bandit camp lodestone (green) - completion of the Desert treasure quest required. Camulet teleport (purple) - completion of the Enakhra's lament quest required. Jaldraocht teleport (blue) - requires a charged Pharoah's sceptre or Sceptre of the Gods. Once inside the exiled kalphite hive proceed south along the tunnel and then north to reach the entrance to the kalphite king lair. The obstruction to the west of the entrance can be cleared to create a shortcut. This requires 23 agility to pass. SETTING UP (Please note, these are sample gear/inventory from the last event/an old guide. Some tweaks, both to the Kalphite Kind and to armor/weapons, have occurred since. Use of the Void armor set is NOT recommended) If this is your first time or you fear death, it's recommended to use a Unicorn/Bunyip instead of a Beast of Burden. If you choose to use a BoB, the Pack Pig (with 84 Summoning/Construction/Crafting) is non-aggressive. Using a Spirit Terrorbird or a War Tortoise may cause the Kalphite King to target you for normal attacks or even it's One Hit KO special. Drygores/Ascensions are not required, chaotics now hit more often than upon KK's release. A range swap is advised for the Mage phase, as players will benefit from the accuracy and the ability to run away easier. If not ranging, an offhand is advised for anyone using a shield. Melee is not mandatory, feel free to use whatever style you are most comfortable with or if you have higher level gear. TANK The tank takes the majority of the damage from the kalphite king. The tank wears high melee and ranged defence armour - this role should be taken by the highest level or most experienced player in the group. The tank draws aggression by using the provoke ability, the incite ability is not recommended. A shield is not required, however less experienced players can use it as a safety net in conjunction with shield abilities to reduce damage. Below is a sample action bar for a tank using dual drygore weapons. TANK SETUP Additional information: A pack yak or war tortoise familiar should be pre-summoned and filled with sharks or rocktails. PROVOKER The provoker is essentially a warrior with a shield. At least one is REQUIRED to kill the kalphite king. This class is used to save the tank from the instant-death attack, meaning it is a highly risky job. The shield should be worn during the melee and ranged phases and an off-hand weapon switch used during the magic phase. Seen below is a sample action bar for a provoker. PROVOKER SETUP Additional information: A unicorn stallion familiar should be pre-summoned and use of its healing prioritised. The helm, gloves, and boots slots should be used to emphasise magic defence. WARRIOR The easiest role is that of the warrior. The kalphite king should never target a warrior, meaning that the void armour set and dual drygore weapons can be used to increase damage. Seen below is a sample action bar for a warrior using dual drygore weapons. A warrior's action bar should include the freedom and anticipation abilities to escape from stuns, with the rest of the action bar dedicated to dealing maximum damage. WARRIOR SETUP INFORMATION ABOUT THE KALPHITE KING Requirements There are no requirements, but we highly recommend having good equipment and armor. Level 70 equipment is likely the minimum, for Barrows, but lower levels may have some success. As always, we expect everyone to pull their weight. There is a high chance of death, so attend at your own risk. Friends Chat Ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat. Silver stars are CO HOSTS. Bronze Stars are other TMHT members. Please note all three of these ranks will have the ability to kick members from chats, should we need to. Players who wish to join the hunt can post on this thread, PM the host ingame, or join the chat before the event :) everyone will be added for coinshare so don't worry! If you need assistance, feel free to Private message a Host/Co-host, or ask in the chat. All leaders are happy to help you with gear choices and inventory setups, should you be unsure of what to bring. Hope to see you there! Tanks/Provokers will (depending on group size) be decided shortly before the start. If there are any volunteers, feel free to PM me in-game or on here.
  14. Pernix gloves http://puu.sh/4gA19.png - 515k Pernix chaps http://puu.sh/4gAHe.png - 1.3m Dragon spear, wth http://puu.sh/4gAWo.png - not even worth mentioning Dragon helm..... http://puu.sh/4gF5E.png - slightly better than spear....
  15. Eh, the shield part isn't anything serious if you're not tanking. Even a bronze shield would work if you wanted to just heal :P As long as you read up on/watch some recent vids to have a general idea what's going on, you'll be fine. If you've never been, this is a great time to learn and make bank ;)
  16. Nex "Even the gods fear it." Time and Date [pending]pin_1378058400[/pending] Date: SUNDAY 1st September Time: 7pm UK time Other Time Zones: BST (British Summer Time): 7 pm CEST (Central European Summer Time): 8 pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time): 6 am PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 11 am MST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 12 pm CST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 1 pm EST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 2 pm Server and Location The world will be determined at the start of the event. We will meet inside the bank area before Nex's chamber. The Boss Nex is one of the most difficult bosses in the game and should not be underestimated. She can hit extremely high and has several special abilities. (Co) Host Levells Ambler3 (TMHT Ambler3) Inventory & Equipment Melee+Range Magic Gear can be downgraded, but Barrows/Bandos is the lowest advised. Note: Beast of Burdens should be pre-summoned. They should contain your highest healing food. If you can use a Unicorn, that should be placed in the last slot of your familiar. Be advised that aggressive familiars like the War Tortoise may make Nex target you. Magic gear should be worn in the helm, glove, and boot slot to maximize defense. If you have them, the Penance Aura and Vampyrism/Cruelty/Elements Scrimshaws are very helpful. Magic users do not need to bring a gear swap as Nex never prays Deflect Magic. However, the minions are immune to magic attacks. It is advisable to bring a shield as abilities can be very powerful in terms of healing. It is not advised to purely range Nex as she often uses Deflect Missiles. Quick Prayers should be set to Protect/Deflect Magic and your highest boosting combat prayer for your style. Minimum Requirements 70+ Strength, Agility, Ranged, and Consitution - to access the god encampments and get the Frozen Key Troll Stronghold Eadger's Ruse/Love Story (recommended for easier transportation, especially with the high chance of death) Recommended stats AT LEAST 80+ in all combat styles, access to a chaotic weapon, and a range switch for the Zaros phase (If not praying range) Closing Comments: Levells/Ambler3 will be tanking Nex using the Incite ability, so it is recommended that you mix offensive and defensive gear. If you don't know what you're doing it is HIGHLY recommended that you read an up to date guide. As with all bosses, there is a risk of death here, though this risk is MUCH higher on both the ice and Zaros phases, due to her AoE attacks, which can deal over 3000 damage to large groups of people who don't run away in time! The "Contain This!" attack on the ice phase is the most deadly, as up to 4 icicles will follow random players, anyone standing on the squares near to them will be hit for up to 3000 damage. The second attack you should be wary of is her STANDARD melee attack on the Zaros phase, much like barrage spells, this will hit all players in a 3x3 radius around the person being attacked, so it's best to stand opposite the tank, or if maging/ranging, as far away as possible, and let the tank take all the damage. A small guide if it's your first time going to Nex If you've got your frozen key, and are not sure how to get to the Nex bank safely, please refer to this video, a quick run through of what to bring and how to safely get to the bank: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=YYndqR3O2oM This guide is useful for seeing the different abilities Nex uses. If this is your first time going, it would be a good idea to watch it. (Mild language) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYXyYhP9H5M
  17. They never said that they didn't have a backup, they said that the backup would be unable to bring back the entire game and the server like OSRS did. That, and something about their backup system changing, so that was the clear winner.
  18. Guessing everyone's training divination and not mining.... [qfc]15-16-209-65123621[/qfc] But they left wc jujus the same :P At lvl 48 div, you can make the sign to bank 15 items. Even at 99 div, it's 30 items each. Really sucks. I've got so many juju flasks :(
  19. Less, since you left out the lovely dragon crossbow :P something like 20m? And since all the signets are untradeable, you really need to finish what you started, or its like throwing your money away. Edit: Ascensions have also been dropping a fair bit, sell point is ~221-222m So, Q's 65m profit drops to ~20m. Of course, since signets are luck based, I've seen people end up with 100m+ profit but it's very easy to go bankrupt with them. I'm pretty sure I've seen a few people in the Screenies thread say they had to get bailed out by friends b/c they ran out of money.
  20. Answers in bold, let me know if there's anything else.
  21. Zammy spear is still needed for corp. Other than that, all other melee weapons are pretty useless to you.
  22. Everyone left, so event is over. Thanks for coming everyone :) not much in splits, but it was pretty fun overall.
