  1. That's the boost in live though, right? It's effect is boosted on beta, but I never heard any figures/testing for it.
  2. Were dreadnips glitched on beta? I thought you could only use them on the reavers before. Never tried/saw about mages. Rip Steel Titan blood phase solos though. You were amazing to watch.
  3. Tip.It Monster Hunting Team, of which Jo and I are apart of. Events are advertised in that forum section, as well as the home page. We tend to have less strict requirements than forum masses/teams and the purpose is generally to help introduce people to a boss is a more safe environment (large groups). Jo is hosting a Dagannoth Kings event tomorrow. Chaotics will only get you so far, especially at the higher bosses like Nex, Vorago, ROTS, and KK. Can you use them there? yes. Will you have a harder time/slower kills, etc? Yes. Lvl 90 weapons are miles ahead of lvl 80. In addition, unless you have friends willing to take you, most forum groups would probably refuse someone who doesn't have at least 1 lvl 90 style (if swaps are needed for the boss, some accept a lvl 80 as a swap only)
  4. With this beta, they announced accuracy penalties would be added to boots/gloves/helms. Either it's a bug in that it's not working or they changed their mind, much like the Slice/Punish cooldown or whatever it was.
  5. Just to help keep things updated, a clannie said he got 337 bxp from a rune Chain, which is 1.5x normal smiting xp. That, or it counts the bars too and does the 90% as suggested above. I honestly never really smelted rune to even realize how much each bar would have given you...
  6. Would qh make a big difference for the pure farming xp? I heard some people talking about it a few days ago, to finish livid faster.
  7. Vezon says it's 75%, 82% and 89% damage for each blast, so firing off the first two makes it equal to sonic wave.Ah, not bad. So a slight tweak. Any info on Wild Magic? It seems that got changed as well, going off the Fixed Issues... Mr G W didn't have anything about it on forums Would have been nice if they gave us patch notes instead of looking in that thread of everything past
  8. I thought they had already made it 2.5 damage per level for all styles now. I'm guessing they're trying to make Training strength more important Not sure what to think about them making slow weapons more powerful from Poison and bonus damage... Means 2h range/Mage could be better, and rip drygores maces. Rapier/long could spike even more. Low level ability access just feels like it needed a rework, it's miserable. I'm curious how much of a tweak they did to conblast... I thought it was at a good damage value before.
  9. Assuming I have all 3 lvl 90 mainhands, which style is 'best' for each boss? Obviously you can't melee Arma and range sucks for Bandos... Pretty sure I've heard Stev swear by maging almost everywhere, is this the general consensus? And if so, is this only viable b/c of conblast or other reasons?
  10. Better than ssb against mages. Still much worse against non-mages
  11. I believe they updated the ring a few months back, I remember seeing somewhere say it's a 4% increase in damage
  12. I'm interested in speed nex duos. Also, excellent description. Pretty much what me and my partner do, with the occasional Swap of who ults which phase (tends to depend on how good my partner is). Edit: ring of vigor is almost a necessity, even while Mage tanking with queuing, I always seemed to have to Pot the second prison... Have not tried lately, but I have gotten better with my adrenaline, so it could be possible but I wouldn't recommend it for someone inexperienced.
  13. You sir clearly have not experienced azure yet. I find Azure laughably easy...
  14. All damage is an Illusion. Legacy users will see x/10 damage. Ex: General Graador has a hit of ~2200 for normal eoc, ~220 if using legacy Not sure about the difference between legacy/momentum in terms of normal damage.
  15. We apologize for the short notice, but this weekend's Bandos event has been postponed.
  16. Walk in long....left with a set. 5 man, ended up being 20m/each w/ other drops
  17. There are fishermen in LRC as well. C2 fishing would still be better for pure xp. Would also give wc xp. inb4warbands....I say superheat+drop Ceremonial swords are miserable and should be done for dailies only imo.
  18. - Kalphite King - Saturday 7th June 2014 - Coinshare Mass Time and Date Date: Saturday 7th June 2014 Time: 3pm EST, 7pm GMT Friends Chat: Levells [pending]cya_1402167600[/pending] - This week we will be taking on The Kalphite King! Formerly dubbed the "Toughest Boss in RuneScape history", The King is a boss monster who can be found in the Exiled Kalphite Hive. At a combat level of 230, it has since dropped down to the rank of 3rd strongest monster in RuneScape, do not let this fool you though! It's vast range of damaging attacks, hard hitting minions & deadly '1 hit' special make the Kalphite King one boss not to under estimate! The Kalphite King uses all three styles of combat, randomly cycling through them as the fight goes on... changing it's weakness in-line with the combat triangle as it does so. It is there for common, although not mandatory, for players to bring two styles of combat to deal with this. Read on below for a general guide on the Kalphite King. - Getting there Preferred route is running straight South-South East from the Bandit Camp lodestone. (Requires completion of Desert Tresure quest) -------------------> - The Fight Although it is possible to solo the Kalphite King, there are 3 main roles in which each person in a team must fulfil, these being; Role one: Tank - The tank is to have the Kalphite Kings attention on them at all times via use of incite & provoke, taking the bulk of The Kings hits when it is doing focused attacks such as on it's Melee phase. - Stay away from the walls & lure KK away from minions if it does happen to dig while there present to lower the amount of damage you take! Role two: Provoker (Voke) - The job of the Provoker is exactly that, to provoke the Kings attention when necersery to avoid the tank being downed by it's special 'Green Attack'. The rest of the time they just do DPS. (See role three) - Try and keep adrenaline high/ full at all times, ready to use an ultimate or resonance to negate the damage of the special attack. - Vokers may chose to bring runes for the Lunar spell 'Heal other', for use after triggering barricade. Please Note: The Kalphite King does not use it's green attack while on it's Magic phase, therefore feel free to dps without worry during this period. Role Three: Attacker (DPS) - It's the DPS job to smash the King into submission as quickly as possible, clearing it's minions along the way. Simples! - Be prepared to step in as a back up provoker incase of the main one dying (which is fairly common), so bring a shield. :P - Advised setup Below an example of what gear to use & inventory: Inventory is largely down to personal preference & confidence. Make appropriate changes were necessary, for example, more rocktails instead of portants. Make necessary changes to gear to accommodate your levels, max DPS gear isn't a must, especially given the numbers that regularly attend TMHT events! :) - TMHT Recommends - Completion of Desert Task set for quick teleport to nardah bank & lovely tribrid stats of the necklace! - Overloads, Turmoil & Soulplit. Super/ extreme potions will work fine too! - Completion of Desert Treasure quest for use of Bandit Camp lodestone. - At least 70+ in chosen style(s) of combat. Looking forward to seeing you all there! :D
  19. Also, defenders do parry in beta. Only against melee, but it still exists. Still dead content.
  20. I personally prefer hosting on a Saturday as I'm much less likely to be disturbed during. People also voted for Saturday in our poll. While not representative of everyone, if they don't vote, we can't know otherwise. If there are several people who want to go later today, I might. Hang around in my fc and we'll see.
  21. Sadly, event over after 2 kills :( hopefully it made people a little more comfortable with Nex/mechanics though, so they'll come back in the future :) Drops: green dragonhide, followed by watermelon seeds and a key half
  22. As this didn't get posted on the main site, I would imagine not many. However, don't let that deter you :)
  23. Abby demons are weak to slash anyway. Not quite sure where you came up with weak to Magic.
