Levells - Comped
Lol, sorry for dashing your hopes. I just always seem to be either in a dungeon or killing dragons lately :p Only actual D&D I've played was the one on PSP, and it was ok.

Nex - March 8th, 6pm GMT, 1pm EST
Nex "Even the gods fear it." Coinshare/Shardshare Saturday, March 8th - 6pm GMT Date: SATURDAY 8th March Time: 1pm EST Other Time Zones: BST (British Summer Time): 6pmCEST (Central European Summer Time): 7pmAEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time): 5am (on the 9th)PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 10 amMST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 11amCST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 12pmEST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 1pm[pending]pin_1394301600[/pending] May need to bank a bit, but I plan on camping for about 4 hours :) don't worry about being late Server and Location The world will be determined at the start of the event. We will meet inside the bank area before Nex's chamber. As there is a chance we may use an instance if we can't find a world, your grave may not be able to be blessed. It's suggested you purchase the highest time you can to ensure you can make it back in time. Please keep in mind that the room before the bank is extremely deadly, bring food/teleports to ensure you don't double grave. The Boss Nex is one of the most difficult bosses in the game and should not be underestimated. She can hit extremely high and has several special abilities. As of a recent update, she will now pray against all 3 styles at different intervals. Everyone should be using 2 styles. Her wings will change color depending on her deflect prayer: green for ranged, blue for magic, orange for melee. Host @Levells Inventory & Equipment A beast of burden should be presummoned and filled with food. A unicorn is suggested in the last slot. If maging, remember to bring runes. Vulnerability can increase kill speed significantly. Gear can be downgraded, but Barrows/Bandos is the lowest advised. Magic or range gear may be worn in the helm, glove, and boot slot to maximize defense if so desired. If you have them, the Penance Aura and Vampyrism/Cruelty/Elements Scrimshaws are very helpful. It is advisable to bring a shield for additional healing after a kill and to gain adrenaline at the start. Quick Prayers should be set to Protect/Deflect Magic and your highest boosting combat prayer for your style. Melee+Range Magic+Range Minimum Requirements 70+ Strength, Agility, Ranged, and Consitution - to access the god encampments and get the Frozen Key Troll Stronghold Eadger's Ruse/Love Story (recommended for easier transportation, especially with the high chance of death) Recommended stats AT LEAST 80+ in all combat styles, access to a chaotic weapon, and a second attack style. Closing Comments: Levells will be tanking Nex using the Incite ability, so it is recommended that you mix offensive and defensive gear. If you don't know what you're doing it is HIGHLY recommended that you read an up to date guide. As with all bosses, there is a risk of death here, though this risk is MUCH higher on both the ice and Zaros phases, due to her AoE attacks, which can deal over 3000 damage to large groups of people who don't run away in time! The "Contain This!" attack on the ice phase is the most deadly, as up to 4 icicles will follow random players, anyone standing on the squares near to them will be hit for up to 3000 damage. The second attack you should be wary of is her STANDARD melee attack on the Zaros phase, much like barrage spells, this will hit all players in a 3x3 radius around the person being attacked, so it's best to stand opposite the tank, or if maging/ranging, as far away as possible, and let the tank take all the damage. A small guide if it's your first time going to Nex If you've got your frozen key, and are not sure how to get to the Nex bank safely, please refer to this video, a quick run through of what to bring and how to safely get to the bank: This guide is useful for seeing the different abilities Nex uses. If this is your first time going, it would be a good idea to watch it. While it does not contain her new Deflect Magic update, her attacks are still accurate. (Mild language)

Future Update Discussions
Since there's been teasers thrown about with extra content/surprises with stuff from ROTM, what items should I grab? I've got the 2 letters from Robert and his necklace (from Kethsi) and am currently hunting down Bob with my re-enchanted catspeak amulet (they really should let us shove it enchanted in the cramulet). Any other suggestions?

Serfing the crevices | Random stoof
Just incase you're not aware, doing the desert tasks will give you a price reduction on BtP. Easy is 2% off, Medium is 5% off, and Hard is 10% off. Hard requires dreadnips, so you might not be able to do that for a bit. I personally hated getting the spell, so I was glad my suffering was lessened slightly. Though I rather liked doing the mazes.

Dwayne's Blog - TRIMMED cya
You never bought the scrolls? O_O I like how I'm conveniently logging in and then you check your reqs, haha I'm still waiting for them to introduce a way to show trim reqs for non-compers... >_> Did you go to the museum to check? If you wear the hood, there's something you're supposed to click to check trim reqs remotely :p I think I can only stand doing 1m xp/day after that weekend...I'll join your particleness in ~51 days

Legiones worth it?
The next upgrade for my pvm gear is to get ascensions....but it's painful to look at the price. If my main money maker is qbd, and I can do ~20-24 kph or so, would it be better to do qbd exclusively or just do qbd to get the money to try keys? I have full pernix, lotus, and ccbs (waiting for the dart fix before making a handful of them).

Hard-Mode Bosses
That's the problem with hard mode, it's the same drop rate for the items.

How long would it take to get 81 slayer?

Hati and Sköll - February 8th - 3pm EST/8pm GMT
Hati and Sköll Return of the wolves Time and Date Date: February 8th Time: GMT: 8pm US Eastern: 3pm US Central: 2pm US Mountain: 1pm US Pacific: 12pm AUS Canberra: 7am (on the 9th) Host & Friends Chat: @Levells [pending]gre_1391889600[/pending] Server and Location We will meet by the Rellekka lodestone, the world will be determined before we start. Hati Hait wanders near the south-west side of Rellekka. When killed, he can drop Hati's Paws, which give a large amount of combat xp in a skill of your choice. He can also drop a cosmetic hood and cape. Sköll Sköll is west of the entrance to Rellekka and requires a little preparation - in the form of a 120 log bonfire. Everyone who participates in the bonfire or killing Sköll has a chance to get Sköll's boots for bonus Woodcutting or Agility xp and a cosmetic amulet. Eir While killing either wolf (or harvesting an enriched spring), there is a chance to obtain a spear or helmet. You can get multiple copies but can only get type of item by yourself. You'll have to trade a spare with someone else to return them for bonus Prayer or Divination xp. Grab your weapons and your hatchets and let's get some bonus xp! :) Friends Chat Ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat. Silver stars are CO HOSTS. Bronze Stars are other TMHT members. Please note all three of these ranks will have the ability to kick members from chats, should we need to. If you need assistance, feel free to Private message a Host/Co-host, or ask in the chat. All leaders are happy to help you with gear choices and inventory setups, should you be unsure of what to bring.

Requiring assistance once more!
I'm just going to address the first 3 :p 1) Tanking Nex I'm just going to break this down into each stage and then mercilessly torture you---I mean, take you nexing for both roles :p (I'm back now ;) ) You should (almost) always be standing in melee distance to cut down on her mage attacks destroying your dpsers. Smoke: This one is nice and easy. Lure Nex up towards the entrance by attacking and then moving towards the south pillar, so she follows you. Do not go around the pillar or that will drag her too far from your attackers. Use anticipation frequently as it will prevent her from dragging/knocking your prayer off. If you do get dragged, freedom and resonance can give a nice heal. Shadow: This one is the one you stand away from her. Too close for too long will cause you to bleed typless damage. Watch out for the shadows and just move 1 space away. When she calls, run through the center and wrap around the south pillar to draw her further away from the dpsers so they don't get the shadow. You can drop prayer and resonance here easily for a good 1900+ most of the time. Blood: Depending on group size and people's experience, I take an offhand for this phase, if only to speed it up. I normally get through it with only the initial siphon. Make sure you're still in melee distance so she doesn't blood barrage everyone. If you're standing right, Nex will be attacking you and your attackers can attack her back and soul split as well. Her blood sacrifice attack (assuming not all melee distance) targets the furthest person away, which favors mages who can stand outside of her attack range and not even move from the sacrifice. Once the minion is dead, the last phrase Nex calls determines how Ice starts. Siphon = ice prison, sacrifice = contain. Ice: You always want to start on a prison, since it's much easier. Use Anticipation as she transitions to ice. You should have full adrenaline and use Barricade. Use Escape/Surge if you can when she contains for the extra adrenaline. Freedom and Immortality the second prison. By now, your team should be killing the minion. Make sure you keep Nex away as she can easily ko the team if she contains near them. Most teams will break the 3rd if they see it, but you should try to always prepare for it anyway. You should be able to use Anticipation/Barricade here again. If Blood is giving you trouble with your lp or you can't seem to generate the adrenaline during ice, you could try using Immortality just before ice starts and then Barricade the second. Don't forget Ring of Vigour and Adrenaline potions as well. Zaros: I'm going to assume this is now as painful for a mage tank (half the time) as it is/was for a melee tank. This is going to hurt like hell, but you should make full use of all your def abilities, especially Debilitate. You should also get the hang of dropping your prayer (or using soul split) when you use resonance. I would not advise switching between mage/range here as it will hurt you more from the ability cooldown. What you should do is just click under you (sometimes right click is best since her click radius can be insane) and just use purely defensive abilities until she stops praying. Lastly, don't forget to move when she wrath-bombs :p (Ps2 once had ~100 lp left when he hit the wrong button and didn't Surge away) 2) Nex DPSing People don't like tanking :p were you getting the drop or were the magers getting it? I seem to get the drop 95% of the time against tectonic/vwandbook people ;) (using drygores + ccbs). And if anything, I would say melee/range would be the way to go these days with that last update to her. On that note... 3) Tier 90 armours For Barrows2/Vorago/ and solo/duo Nex, yes. Trio nex+? probably not. If you're not that great at pvm and still take loads of damage (like Wolfy/Ps2 used to), then yes you should look into it more. I personally don't bother with it because I don't need it right now. They do offer the approximate defense/hp of ports but with best in class damage, so they have their uses.

World Event Question..
Equip it or check contribution and that will update it. If you haven't missed more than ~2-3 days, you should be at/around runite Token and that will get you up to what you need for now. I don't think any rewards require Dragon atm. Abilities now, since they're useful. The Armor, much less so. If you're like me, it'll be more fun to get it as a drop :p I'm only getting the abilities and then dumping the rest into lamps.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
A clannie got 70 range, so I was going to take him up with a friend. Friend decided to eat and he'd join us later....he logged in to see the second drop and decided not to bother, so it ended up being ~11m each for a 55 min trip :D

Up to Snow Good - Christmas 2013 (17/12/13)
Very nice patch notes this time around. Circuit + comp cape are welcome changes, as is the scrimshaw bit. Can you simply use them on one another, or does it have to be on the machine? Disappointed there's no weapon override on Frostwalker. Not sure I'm sold on how the outfit looks, doesn't live up to the concept art as usual. Quite nice to see they can be bought with loyalty points though.

Agreed. I'd rather camp bandos than arma. That being said though, do your numbers only include armor x2 and abilities or also the titles and emotes?

Kalphite King - December 15th (1pm EST, 6pm GMT)
The Kalphite King Coinshare - Sunday, December 15th Time and Date Date: Sunday, December 15th Time: GMT: 6:00 PMUS Eastern: 1:00 PMUS Central: 12:00 PMUS Mountain: 11:00 AMUS Pacific: 10:00 AMAustralia/ACT: 5:00 AM (on the 16th)World: The world will be specified right before we start Host: Levells Friends chat: Levells Co-hosts: TBD [pending]red_1387130400[/pending] Server and Location We will meet outside the entrance to the Kalphite King. We recommend clearing the blocked passage prior to the event, so that unnecessary health is not lost. Depending on attendance, we may need to split into multiple parties, so be sure to listen to the hosts. Their instructions are important and should not be ignored. GETTING THERE There are three main routes to the exiled kalphite hive, noted below and colour coded on the map: Bandit camp lodestone (green) - completion of the Desert treasure quest required. Camulet teleport (purple) - completion of the Enakhra's lament quest required. Jaldraocht teleport (blue) - requires a charged Pharoah's sceptre or Sceptre of the Gods. Once inside the exiled kalphite hive proceed south along the tunnel and then north to reach the entrance to the kalphite king lair. The obstruction to the west of the entrance can be cleared to create a shortcut. This requires 23 agility to pass. SETTING UP If this is your first time or you fear death, it's recommended to use a Unicorn/Bunyip instead of a Beast of Burden. If you choose to use a BoB, the Pack Pig (with 84 Summoning/Construction/Crafting) is non-aggressive. Using a Spirit Terrorbird or a War Tortoise may cause the Kalphite King to target you for normal attacks or even it's One Hit KO special. Drygores/Ascensions are not required, chaotics now hit more often than upon KK's release. A range swap is advised for the Mage phase, as players will benefit from the accuracy and the ability to run away easier. If not ranging, an offhand is advised for anyone using a shield. Melee is not mandatory, feel free to use whatever style you are most comfortable with or if you have higher level gear. TANK The tank takes the majority of the damage from the kalphite king. The tank wears high melee and ranged defence armour - this role should be taken by the highest level or most experienced player in the group. The tank draws aggression by using the provoke ability, the incite ability is not recommended. A shield is not required, however less experienced players can use it as a safety net in conjunction with shield abilities to reduce damage. Below is a sample action bar for a tank using dual drygore weapons. PROVOKER The provoker is essentially a warrior with a shield. At least one is REQUIRED to kill the kalphite king. This class is used to save the tank from the instant-death attack, meaning it is a highly risky job. The shield should be worn during the melee and ranged phases and an off-hand weapon switch used during the magic phase. Seen below is a sample action bar for a provoker. WARRIOR The easiest role is that of the warrior. The kalphite king should never target a warrior. Seen below is a sample action bar for a warrior using dual weapons. A warrior's action bar should include the freedom and anticipation abilities to escape from stuns, with the rest of the action bar dedicated to dealing maximum damage. [spoiler=INFORMATION ABOUT THE KALPHITE KING]Melee - As shown by ORANGE wings. There are 3 attacks, as follows. 1: Standard attack,This attack has a bleeding attack similar to Slaughter, dealing 3x damage when moving. This is possibly one of the most dangerous attacks as even with Protection prayers, players will find themselves being hit for 2000+ damage. 2: The King charges for a few seconds and then rushes forward, pushing everyone in the way into the wall. This attack, though melee, occurs in the melee and ranging phases. You can avoid this by simply running out of his path. 3: The king stomps and produces a shock wave. Players within the melee range will be hit and pushed back. In addition, their defence level will be reduced by a small amount RANGE - As shown by GREEN wings. There are once again, 3 attacks, as follows. 1: The king will fire an attack that looks like KQ's ranged attack. This attack will cause a damage over time effect similar to the Fragmentation Shot ability, including taking 3x damage when moving. This attack is usually used together with the Stun Darts. 2: The king will fire stun darts at a group of players, which will have a chance to stun them. These stuns can last up to 20 seconds, and can prove fatal if the king switches phases. 3: The king fires an incendiary shot to everyone in range, which will explode after a few seconds that will hit for a massive damage of around 1000-3000 lp. This attack also drains your prayer. It can be blocked with barricade MAGE - As shown by BLUE wings. There are only 2 atacks in this phase. 1: Blue Orbs, The king will shoot numerous blue energy circles to everyone in range for up to 3000 damage and possibly a stun. However, the circles will target on the ground instead of the player, so players can avoid damage by moving away before the circle lands. 2: Green Orbs, The king will launch some greenish-yellow circles at the players' squares that slowly levitate and explode. The circles will hit multiple players in range which can also stun them. This attack could be very fatal if the player is hit by multiple circles. If stunned, use freedom and run to evade these. ONE HIT K.O- Here he aims for a player, and spits a ball of green gloop at them. This freezes them, and resets cooldown timer for freedom. If not prevented via a team mate, the king will one hit you. The way to save yourself from death, is have a teammte use the Provoke ability, followed by Resonance / Immortality / Barricade. Digging - At random points, he will dig hiself into the ground, briefly disappearing from the battle. At this time, he is burrowing under the person who was tanking. Keep moving (preferably to an area clear of marauders), else if he re-surfaces, and you are on top of him, you can be hit for 1500 lp upwards. Marauders - He also spawns Exiled Maruaders. This is unavoidable, who will hit you with magic attacks. When they spawn underneath you, you will be hit for roughly 500 lp per one that spawned underneath you. Red Aura - The king will sometimes be engulfed inside a red aura, when this happens, any damage he deals will heal him. If he kills someone during this, it will heal him by 24000 lp. Just keep the pressure up, and stay alive. GREEN AURA - The king will also sometimes engulf hiself in a green aura, during this time, any incoming damage will heal him, much like the Siphon stage of Nex's Blood phase. Simply stop attacking til the aura has gone. Auras last between 5-10 seconds, but he may sometimes spam these auras. Keep your eyes out for them Each phase is fairly easy, but is difficult to the unaware player. Be sure to watch the kings wings for your prayers, keep your health reletivly high, and keep up the damage. He may be the only boss to use ultimate attacks on you, but these can be avoided. Any damage over time abilities, you can stop by using the ability, Freedom. This video is helpful for demonstrating the abilities of the King. Requirements There are no requirements, but we highly recommend having good equipment and armor. Level 70 equipment is likely the minimum, for Barrows, but lower levels may have some success. As always, we expect everyone to pull their weight. There is a high chance of death, so attend at your own risk. Friends Chat Ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat.Silver stars are CO HOSTS.Bronze Stars are other TMHT members. Please note all three of these ranks will have the ability to kick members from chats, should we need to.Players who wish to join the hunt can post on this thread, PM the host ingame, or join the chat before the event :) everyone will be added for coinshare so don't worry! If you need assistance, feel free to Private message a Host/Co-host, or ask in the chat. All leaders are happy to help you with gear choices and inventory setups, should you be unsure of what to bring.Hope to see you there! Tanks/Provokers will (depending on group size) be decided shortly before the start. If there are any volunteers, feel free to PM me in-game or on here. Our last trip here was over 4 hours and completely dry, so I"m hoping to see some nice loot this time around!

Combat boosts
Replying on my phone, so bear with me. 1. If I remember correctly, overloads are a straight up 168 damage extra, applied after all other bonus like prayer, void, etc. Accuracy wise, potions make a huge difference in regards to attack and defense again painful targets. It's easy to know when I forgot to reovl when I'm being ripped apart... Sara is great at that. Personally, I don't slay with them. I stick with prayer, especially if I can get away w/ demon Horn+bone crusher 2. Yes, it's worth slaying with, perhaps not every Monster, but higher ones like Abyssal demons and dark Beasts, I would say so. 3. Crits with abilities are either 95-105% or 100-105%, I don't remember if we ever found out which. I think Crits on autoattack are +50% damage. Crit should increase your dps by half of the amount, so if you have a 8% Crit chance, that's a 4% increase in dps. If I'm remembering these wrong, Q or Mere will sort me out, I'm sure. As for if you should max Crit, I generally do except for Ring slot, which is vigour. I love berserking pretty much everything. Occasionally I'll be lazy and go for row w/ slayer or I cba to do a ring Swap at some bosses, so row all the way then. You can use that bit about Crit to dps and see if you think it's worth spending the money on things like fury or the Sara necklaces. 4. They may not be Tanky, but trust me, the damage boost is awesome. I have all superior ports and slowly grabbing nex Gear. Most of the time, you don't notice the lower Defence and the faster kills per hour helps out as well. As for actual damage bonus, it's equal to 10% of a fastest speed 1 handed Weapon. So if you're using lvl 80 2h/dual wield, it's a 6.67% damage boost. Using level 90 weapons... I did the math a few days ago and I think it was something like a 5.3-5.8% increase, if I didn't mess anything up. If you're asking in what order the damage bonuses are applied, that I can't help with. 5. I did a steel titan trip to Arma the other day and thought it did alright. Cheated and used a Spirit Cape :p kill count was kinda nice with it. I haven't used a titan since before the nerf, around kalphite King's release. I'd say it couldn't hurt, if you're not gonna use a yak for the task. As for bossing, I think I'll take it with me to Sara/Arma, since those aren't very loot heavy. 6 . as far as I'm aware, that isn't true. There used to be a problem with offhand spells where using low level spells would be the best damage, but that was fixed a while ago. As long as you use a spell at or above your weapon, you should be getting the maximum damage, as it should be. 7. I don't know this one fully. I would say Mage beats melee at nex, even with a range Swap. Between her defects and the Constant running in Shadow/ice, magers should have higher dps. On that note, I hear concentrated Blast (the dual wield basic) is what makes vwand/book so much better than c staff. As for if Virtus is as good/better than drygores at God wars, I don't know that one. Still saving for it myself, and haven't heard any stories about it. Slayer might be faster as well if you barrage w/ Virtus, I don't know how badly the barrage/momentum nerfs have hit it. I stopped using it, but I did only have ahrims wand and a grifolic orb back then... I think that's about everything I can do for now. Edit: anything about Crit, I would take his over mine. I remember several topics of his dealing with it, so he knows what he's talking about more than me.

Soloing Nex
Lvl 60 Spell > lvl 90 Spell? What? If you used grifolic, they would be the same. Any higher and barrage wins. Yes, there was some crazy issue a few weeks ago w/ offhand damage, but that was fixed like 2 weeks or more ago. Friend used runic accuracy at nex yesterday with me. We had some record blood phases, he was still flaming from meta into the start of ice. Sure, we've had no siphon bloods before, but not that fast.

Harbingers of Tuska 3/12/13
Also, just to clarify: degrade to dust items lose 10%, not 20%. This was confirmed before gloves came out, but I would assume (perhaps wrongly >_>) the same applies.
