The difference between a revenant and a 130+ with a GS and steel titan is that the latter has some discretion for who he attacks. Players can choose who they attack and who they won't, and further there were times of day when there were less players online because many of them were sleeping. Any of the old pkers who need a memorial to allow them to remember wilderness pking or they would otherwise forget is either stupid or senile, and considering the average age of the rioters, I'm going to lean more towards stupid. And as for the rest of your argument, I'm sure hundreds of people with accounts named "fak jagdx" sitting in Varrok typing "@@@@@@@" would disagree with your blanket statement on behalf of ex-wilderness pkers. That's taking a video game to a pathetic level. I'm talking worse than in-game weddings. The reason players are being rude as you say is because they are sick of the constant "no pk no rs" and other bull that streams out of the keyboards of rioters (There have been, what, three or four riots since the wilderness was removed?). It's not going to come back, and people are sick of hearing the riots, and getting the mock funerals from players acting as if one of their family members has died. Do your memorial every month, but don't be surprised when you get the regular "get over it" response from players. I don't go around on every month to evangelically talk about the wonders of the 90's television shows and how they were superior to what's on now, and I really don't see the point in having a "Runescape Wilderness Memorial" day.

No, it doesn't make sense. Unless full detail is a drastically different runescape, which it isn't, there isn't going to be any compatibility issue. It's a new level of detail, not a new game.

A chain of 3 quests? What is this, WOW? Jagex releases quest sequels 7-8 months, if not longer, after the original. So by your measure, the coin purse would be out about 14 months from now if Jagex were to implement in next month, over a year.

Exactly, you do have to draw the line otherwise you'll end up with people complaining that players with two arms shouldn't have an advantage over those with missing arms/hands/fingers/etc. People with dialup have an advantage over those with no internet at all. Let's nerf them.

If runescape went single player that would be awesome. Can you say: Addons and modifications? The Runescape mod community, making new weapons and areas, armours, and such. Everything players have always wanted would be in the game and ready to download as an addon. Better bank? Download the mod. Horses? Download the mod. More food to bake? Download the mod. Instead of having Player owned houses through a portal, you'd have it in one of the actual cities (because it's just you). Of course, there'd be no reason for pvp-minigames, or random events, and some of the un-soloable monsters would have to be toned down. Imagine if someone built an A.I system that incorporated the ALife system of STALKER: Clear Sky. For those of you that don't know, the ALife system takes non-playable characters and makes them do exactly what you're doing. They will go out, train to get better, find and collect loot, take quests and complete them, move from level to level, and converse with other npcs, and all dynamically. You could make a living breathing world in Runescape single player. And it would be good. If we could get something like this working, single player Runescape wouldn't just work: It would kick [wagon].

Points you've missed: -Everquest 2 doesn't have loot-based PVP where you can transfer items that way -Goldfarmers rule Everquest 2. The difference is that the game was designed with rwt'ing in mind. -Everquest 2 has a tiny number of players, far less than Runescape (paying members) and around that of Star Wars Galaxies (Yuck). I guess the important thing to remember is that Runescape was not built with real world trading in mind, and as such the economy cannot handle real world trading being present. Jagex has already said that future games may incorporate a real world trading aspect, and in that case: I think I've found a new job.

Wrong. Goldfarmers are never the effect. I played Tabula Rasa during its beta last March until its release last year. The instant the servers went live, the goldfarmers were there to start. Money is basically useless in the game as there's plenty of it and nothing's really that expensive, but they're still trying. Nobody buys the gold, but the goldfarmers are still there trying to sell it.

Umm, AVG anti-virus was found to work better than anti-viruses like Norton and Mcafee, and it's free. Windows Defender and Lavasoft Ad-Aware are all rated to work and find much more than their paid competitors. Good call. Just because you pay for an anti-virus doesn't make it "proper". Norton is a horrid anti-virus that doesn't catch squat, and Kaspersky is pro enough to have labeled explorer[Caution: Executable File] as a virus several times in its past.

True, I guess people on dial-up are just the scum in gutters in the online world. When it comes to online games...you're not too far off. Runescape isn't one of them, but any game where people host their own servers will most likely ban people on dial up for screwing up the server for everyone else.
