  1. Yes...It is. Before the update it was "You can't responsibly choose your words, so we're just going to assume you have nothing worth saying".
  2. Evidence would point to Sumona being the Devourer, but didn't they (The Devourer and Itchlarin) go north to fight it out after the events of Little Helper?
  3. Umm...No. Even if they were to put them in edgeville dungeon, he would still be competing against the same amount of people (Due to increased attention from there being more dragons) and revenants since it's the wilderness. well, yeah His main point isn't that there are revs in the wilderness but that because revs are so easy to avoid and that there are now banks closer competition has been increased so saying; "There are revs in edgeville dungeon wildy too..." suggests that the poster has missed the point of the thread But if you put more green dragons in, then the popularity would just rise from people who hated the overcrowded wilderness spots. Either way, you'll end up with green dragons being overcrowded with revenants, nothing will change except the number of areas this overcrowding is occuring.
  4. I disagree from a business standpoint. Jagex gives f2p tastes to give them more incentive to get members. A f2p'er getting a 99 in a skill takes an extremely long time compared to members, and that time would tell Jagex that said player is not planning on getting members. And in that case, where's the incentive to give them anything?
  5. And there's a special reason why only you can hear "you fail".
  6. They already have a child setting: Try creating an account under 13, you're stuck with quickchat.
  7. Umm...No. Even if they were to put them in edgeville dungeon, he would still be competing against the same amount of people (Due to increased attention from there being more dragons) and revenants since it's the wilderness.
  8. Rarex, they only thing i've EVER seen you do here on tip.it is complain. Why?? If you hate Jagex and hate Runescape so much then why the hell are you still here...? :?: He was banned for trolling and is back because of the rollback.
  9. Ok. Half the time, nothing typed. Placing a small portion of my hand on the keyboard got this: rtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvrtfgvr The likelyhood of the cat pressing one letter at a time followed by the enter key every time: Zilch. Notice how nowhere in the evidence does he mention the cat at all.
  10. Hmm, I can see a lot of similarities between stuff on that map and things that have been released.

Too bad, so sad. If you don't enjoy grinding, you should've never started playing an MMO in the first place, especially Runescape which is pretty much the king of endless grinding. It's a fine double edged sword when talking about taking away skilling. I may have invested 5 years into this game, but I will still drop it like a rock and not look back if they'd removed my favorite aspect instead of sitting around for 6 months crying about it, a personality feature that most of the ex-Edgeville pkers (Yes, I said the Edgeville pkers. The real pkers aren't this immature and have either moved on or left the game) seem to be lacking. And what would removing skilling but keeping pking accomplish? No more food, armour, weapons (With obvious exceptions), quests, mini-games. You'd have a clone of the thousands of MMO's that Korea pumps out every year, but way less interesting, more basic, and with a player base too young to reach the steering wheel. The argument that is used against skillers about removing skilling is a moot point because, no matter how you look at it, it's not going to happen. Wilderness pking was expendable, skilling was not. Oh and let's not forget all of those top pkers and stakers who were banned over the past few years for buying and selling gold (Whoops, did I bring that up? :shame: ) I have to say, with the updates that have happened, it's good to know that the Edgeville pkers are always there ready to protest. Protesting against luring being made impossible, against scamming being all but gone, drop trading between their main and pure being impossible, banning big pkers and stakers for real world trading, removing the glitch on the Granite Maul that let you kill someone almost instantly, no longer being able to camp the abyss. I even saw a group of pkers protesting at the fight pits (after the killing spree) using that as a reason to bring back the wilderness pking. If there's a rule to be broken, or a player to be scammed, or a reason to act like five year olds, they'll be there. When the cry goes out for immature ranting, nonsensical "riots", and threats of "lol i qit", they'll be there. And six months from now on December 10th, the one year anniversary, there will probably be another riot because, you guessed it, they'll still be there. Ready to be banned and muted en masse. Ready to use words like "Ruinedscape" and "[bleep]ex". Ready to type "@" over and over and over to get their point across. Ready to question Jagex's right to stop them from buying gold. Ready to make references to players like Durial as heroes. Ready to wear pink skirts and drop fires and random clothes in a lame attempt to lag the servers to crashing. Thanks for proving my point. And if Runescape is such a flawed copy, why are you here? Is logic really that difficult for you to utilize when deciding your daily activities? I don't visit the neopets website every day to complain about how much the game sucks, so why would people keep doing that on the RSOF and TIF? It defies all logical thinking aside from them just being immature trolls with very little else to do with their lives.
  12. News flash: Then don't do the quest instead of whining about how you don't want to train smithing.
  13. There's this great new update called the front page where they show updates. It's a great read, really.
  14. Omali replied to Meta_Mucil's topic in Rants
This happens every update, do you really think Jagex isn't aware that new places and places that will receive piqued interest from updates will be crowded? They know, that's the point of the updates: To get more people into the area. And yes, once the fad dies down the place will empty once more. This isn't anything new.
  15. Kids play Runescape? Nahh, I think that newspaper is full of it, the only people I see playing are mature, well spoken adults between the ages of 18-34 who don't "riot" and speak in a clear, intelligible way.
  16. that doesn't mean i don't consider it a punishment. this game isn't much if you can't talk to people, may as well be single player then. i use this game to talk a lot, especially with clanchat now. being that i give out mutes as well, i consider it a punishment. it certainly seemed a punishment to me when i was muted. i wasn't worried about the demodding, i'll do my volunteer job when i feel like it, but i want to talk no matter what. so therefore muting is a punishment, whether intended to be one or not. It is a punishment. It's Jagex's way of saying "You can responsibly choose your words, so we're going to choose them for you".

Shut up you moron. Nice to know there's still pures to remind us that most of them were immature trolls.
  18. It would be great if you read the whole post before posting about it Anyway you had 0 prayer at the time you finished the quest don't you? So it should have counted your prayer remaining points as your actual level, just a theory I was at 1680 total level when the update came out, the next time I leveled a skill I got the 1600 total milestone. Also if I didn't mention: The picture is way too small for me, I can't read anything on it (Even in the bigger size)
  19. I went out of my way to get the Varrok Armor 2 so I can make Mithril bars and bolts faster.
  20. Right, so the cat jumped onto the keyboard and somehow in the struggle managed to cleanly pump out one letter at a time followed by the enter sign. Bull, considering a cat couldn't possibly hit one key at a time if it had jumped onto the keyboard. I think you're just making up excuses to get out of your punishment.
  21. Omali replied to Mavric92's topic in Rants
    ....right.
  22. I like how the only reason you and your alt (which undoubtedly doesn't exist anymore) aren't banned for being giant trolls is because of the forum wipe. Looks like you still haven't changed. And people are negative about riots because the simple act of spending hours on end typing "no pk no play" and "@@@@@@@" is a clear indication that you have nothing better to do (IE: No life)
  23. I kept killing a rat thinking I could beat it, I didn't realize I was on 2hp. I was level 9 at the time, the rat was level 6.
  24. It's a Thursday, it's probably taco day at middle school for these kids, can't miss that.
  25. 1. Very old reference, Harry Potter didn't make that up. This goes as far back as LOTR I believe, people being too afraid to say Sauron's (Or Sauromon, can't remmeber) name. 2. God forbid people be afraid that a dangerous person is back... 3. Right, because Rowling totally coined the term "Order" as well as the collection of people fighting a bad guy. Hey everyone, the LAPD is based off the Order of the Phoenix! You know you're grasping for what isn't there.
