  1. Ya I suppose we will have to wait another week.... Hopefully they give us readers letters or SOMETHING this week.. The last development diary should be here tomorrow.
  2. People like you making comments like that are why the majority of Runescape views pkers are ignorant selfish twits who care more about their virtual bloodlust than the game that they claim to support.
  3. I would imagine that the pet shop in Taverly and the pet shop in Pollnivich are enough proof that, should the skill be f2p, it will only be partially.

I'd bet all the gold in my bank that the charges are tied to your account, similar to barrows degradation. Actually for this item, it's tied to the item. Or maybe it's to your account, but then you still can't trade it if you have any charges. I tried trading a DFS I had with 13 charges and it wouldn't let me. Same thing happens at any other number of charges (I just like 13). What do you mean by Barrows degradation? Like trading armor pieces that are half used? Indeed. Barrows degradation is tied through the item to your account. If it was tied to the armor, you'd have to put over 100 different versions of the same item in the game, to accommodate for every single integer that changes. By having it in the account, however, it makes it impossible to keep it tagged onto the item, so Jagex just created 100 and 0 as static versions and made those tradeable. The Dragonfire shield is the same, in that case it's making up for having to create a different shield for every charge, yet again makes the item untradeable. Generating an integer on an account file is much less time consuming and takes up less space than having a hundred or so versions of a single item. Stackable items are coded as: ItemID Quantity Items like Barrows would be coded as ItemID StatusX (Where Status X refers directly to a line in the player's file)
  5. Runescape isn't going to die just because players can't get the resources at the rock bottom prices that they've hit because of the mass amounts of autoers and gold farmers. Oh god, you actually have to work for the money now instead of watching prices on items drop horribly. God forbid raw materials go back up in price so skillers can once again have the profits they once enjoyed. But please, don't put your own selfish agenda underneath stopping massive credit card fraud (autoers buying members to get you those dragon bones). I'm sure Jagex would've thought twice if they'd known you personally were going to be inconvenienced.
  6. Learn to read. Did you noticed how i used the word steal? I know i don't own the rocks, but when you are in a place training alone, and someone else comes around, you kinda get the feeling that its your place. You know you don't own rocks, yet you then state that you feel like the rocks are yours if you've been there long enough. Contradiction, you should take your own advice on learning to read.
  7. I wonder if the old lady will continue walking her dog after the store opens.

Probably because it was just a test of the system, and as admitted, the test was a partial failure (nonstacking being one, can't remember the other(s))
  10. Constantly. I check up on the forums in my sleep, to see if Runescape was updated (sadly, my brain does not yet support java in order to get onto the main page)
  11. Wrong. Everytime someone makes a big claim on what a Jagex mod supposedly said, yet can't produce any proof of it, they're the first to flame.
  12. Noobs come in all shapes and levels. When I used to be faced against annoying, impatient high level players, i would use my low level to my advantage. Say, at the blue dragons with my halberd, I would switch it to controlled if they started calling me a noob, since controlled hits less, I could wait them out.
  13. But there's still people playing, just not people logging in (I can't log in at the moment). And what more reason other than maintenance do you need? Chances are they're beefing up the login servers to get ready for summoning.
  14. They've also been doing a lot of maintenance on the login servers and website. Able to handle much more of a load now? I've found where the quest is going to begin! Look at the Taverly overhead map in the area guides on the knowledge base. There's only five quests that start there, but there's six quest markers!
  15. Happened again on another world.
  16. Puppies and kittens! I can try to feed them people food through my computer screen.

Nobody could really explain what the point of the satchels was when Tower of Life came out. A Jmod explained on the forums that they were a way to test a new system that was in development. Right now, certain items are tied to your account (Barrows armor degradation). This is the reason you can't trade barrows armor unless it's completely fixed or completely broken, because the differences in between are too vast to put hundreds of different versions of the ahrims staff, for example. With this new system, they would be able to do things such as allow a dragon scimitar to get stronger the more it is used, or possibly melee becoming consumables by having all melee stuff degrade. Or, as I've said, allow you to trade barrows armor at any degradation point. As of the testing, it was impossible under the new system for these items to stack. This meant that the only items feasible to put under this system would be items that people don't have more than one of in the bank at any time. The Jmod (working on the project) agreed, when asked, that the current form of the system was a horrible failure and would go back for extensive testing and possibly to await further engine upgrades.

What I love about Runescape is that, when big updates are far away on the horizon, you can bet that Jagex is implementing prototypes of that system to make sure that the full version will work when it's released. I remember a few prototypes, but I want other people to add in some that they remember: -Tower of Life: A prototype to Summoning, obviously. -Tower of Life: A prototype to a new item managing system, that would make the items tied to itself instead of the account, allowing for more advanced degradation as well as dynamic stats based on different algorithms, but the items couldn't stack in the bank (Hence the satchels). There's been no mention of this plan since. -Bob the Cat: NPCs that can walk anywhere (Thanks: Bobbington) -Christmas event: Prototype for summoning creatures fightin (Thanks Naruto) Can anyone remember any others?
  19. Yup. We've got teleportation down with the portals and mounted glory. We've got fighting glory down with the mounted heads. We need the farming patches they promised us in the march 04 bts. I'd also like to see a few more rooms dedicated to other skills. I'm not saying runite mines, but I'd like to have some reason to go into my house other than making construction items and cooking cakes with my lardur.
  20. Anyone who finds p2p not worth it because a small part of summoning went f2p, they've hit a new rock bottom of pathetic immaturity, matched only by those who claimed they were going to sue Jagex over the December updates.
  21. I see the point in this thread pretty clearly, when it said that he wants the non-combat skills taken out because they are the source of the autoers gold. Granted, maybe if the pkers and stakers would stop buying and selling rs gold for real money, maybe they wouldn't have to have done this to you. Oh well, it was your call, same with the runescape classic players who autoed, and are now complaining that the game is shut to the public. It's the difference between shutting off a lamp in a house to conserve energy, and deciding to shut off everything in the house that doesn't run on batteries. It's not hipocracy, and the arguments you (you and sly) have been putting up look to me as nothing more than grasping at a point neither of you have, so you bring up hipocracy and not reading the thread properly.
  22. I smell a summoning potion that'll work similar to a prayer potions (fill your points)
