    1. Give me all of your stuff before the update's rolled out this morning 2. ???? 3. Profit!
  2. Look at how the bulldog follows you: I really hope this means the follower AI is getting updated.
  3. Your first and last parts contradict each other , in your view, as if the revenants were easier to escape from, they wouldn't be adding the difficulty you mention, but adding this sort of real difficulty into the wilderness suddenly makes the game frustrating now that you need real tactics in the wilderness. Before you could do nothing and there were slim chances you'd be attacked wearing nothing and carrying nothing. The revenants could care less, however, and will kill you either way: So now it's frustrating. Real difficulty = Frustrating = BAD!
  4. Hell no, rs has gone so far down I wouldn't be surprised if I seen it In dead last.. Considering the number of players playing has not changed in a noticable amount, I'd have to advise you not to hold your breath on dead last, or anywhere near there.
  5. Go to the dueling arena? :-w
  6. when you say never, are you referring to the three or four months since you've joined the game?
  7. I don't remember ever putting a huge importance on it, I merely asked if player owned shops are even worth putting in at this point (which Jagex seemed to hint towards in the diary), now that the grand exchange is in place.
  8. Quit whinging. Still bitter about the updates??? Quit, or put up and shut up. Stop posting and moaning, because its not going to change. Quit whinging at people whinging. Still bitter about people being bitter about the updates? . Quit reading the posts or put up and shut up. Stop posting and moaning because it's not going to change that people want it to change. So you just admitted that you were complaining about something that's not going to change? WTG  So basically, you're posting mindless crap for nothing? Well done. See the people complaining are runescape players, your some loser who started 3 weeks ago and started a jagex fan club, you have 2 million xp and no combat skills, you have no idea what we have lost, i have 50 million xp and 115 combat, the update affected me so im annoyed, learn to shut the hell up or one day you will walk into a hells angels bar and be all like so what if the cops are cracking down on bikies you cant change it get over it! then you will be shot in the face and buried in a shallow grave somewhere. Clearly you don't understand the Hells Angels acknowledgment of how hard it is to clean blood and brains off of embossed wooden bars. :-w And you're hardly intimidating enough to compare yourself to a biker gang.
  9. They said that the GE was close in concept, meaning that it doesn't have all of the features that player owned shops will have. I believe that if Jagex had no intention of bringing it out, they simply wouldn't have mentioned it at all (like wilderness tag hasn't been mentioned in a long time), or they would've said that the Grand Exchange would be taking its place. So at the very least, it's not being worked on, but it's still a viable idea that engine upgrades will partially focus on.
  10. When the Grand Exchange was released, I was under the impression that it was Jagex's answer to the many requests for a player owned shop, as mentioned in the 2004 behind the scenes in March. Jagex mentioned player owned shops once again in the first summoning dev diary, where Mod Mark mentions So Jagex is still thinking about releasing Player Owned Shops, but the question that I have is; with the Grand Exchange, is the idea of player owned shops still worthy of the time it would take to upgrade the engine, code it in, and use the server space? I thought that the idea of POS' was great, but I cannot see it replacing the GE, unless Jagex literally replaces the GE with it.
  11. Everyone benefits from cheaper prices, as you get more 'bang for your buck', so to speak. I can't see how that's a bad thing. In fact, it's a fairly good thing. The legit players who harvest raw materials get screwed royally by real world traders, because they're forced to no longer be able to sell their materials (who's going to buy a few thousand logs at market value when they can buy hundreds of thousands at a time from an autoer at extremely lower prices?). That's what caused legit players to stop harvesting raw materials, and is why the economy became partially dependent on the presence of autoers. So no, not everyone benefits from cheaper prices.
  12. I'd imagine that, even without jagex making those updates, a prostitute still wouldn't be able to induce that type of reaction with an intangible computer application. Of course, be my guest and keep trying if you'd like.
  13. and for allwe know summoning could be the hardest skill to date, so we'd have to wait awhile :XD: Hunter took a couple of weeks before the first person got 99. If the usual players play the same hours but at Summoning's lower pace, it'll most likely take well over a month.
  14. I've found that the level 74 revenants tend to hang out around 1-20 wilderness, mostly around the green dragons. It's funny to see the place crowded, everyone complaining about too many people and then BAM; one revenant appears and the whole area is cleared out except for myself and maybe one other person that the revenant won't attack. It's just like old times watching a pker appear.
  15. I don't have a home phone, and I'm certainly not going to go through all the trouble every month of paying by money order. My cell phone cannot send text messages, plus I'm not adding runescape payments onto my phone bill. Besides, Jagex doesn't do their business plans based on how you pay, it's based on how a majority currently pay, and the prospect on how they would be willing to pay. As said before, they wouldn't have resorted to throwing the updates up harshly then following up with fixes the year after if they didn't have to. They mention a few times that the update needed to be up before the end of the year. I'm guessing that's the deadline that the credit card companies gave them.
  16. How about a runescape where you can't pay for membership because credit card companies have deemed Jagex as such an accessory to credit fraud, that they block your ability to pay via credit card? Because that's the way it was headed.
  17. How about, instead of a monster, it's a rogue General from one of the god's armies. It would make it much easier to explain and show his amazing power, and would give a little reality to him using the armor and weapons he steals off of other players. Here's how I see it happening: 1. General kills player A, players B-D retreat and stop attacking. Player A becomes a shallow grave instead of a tombstone. 1.5: General becomes unattackable at this point 2. General picks up and examines Player A's items. Through comparison of Grand Exchange prices and item statistics compared to his current armor and weapons, he could grab any armor that is better than his current (player dies with dragon boots, General takes them) and equips them. 3. The rest of the items, he throws in the large furnace behind him. 3.5: The General beckons on the next group. He is now attackable again, but stronger. It should be mentioned that the armor has the same stat effects on the General that it would on the player. The General will keep barrows items unequipped until he has a full set, or until he dies and loses them. Killing the General will cause him to lose everything that he has accumulated, his current wealth would be displayed obviously as what his avatar is wearing. The server resetting will cause the General to lose his items and turn back to normal. As this would go on on all the servers (p2p at least), there would be many variations of the General, leading players to set up strategies of which servers have the best Generals to fight at the time, both in least difficult to most profitable. With this idea, it would still be close to impossible to use for RWT because you still have to go through the process of actually killing the General in the first place to get the items. The General also has no need for cash and will dispose of it in the aforementioned furnace.
  18. There are updates for bug abusers, it's called fixing the bugs. As for advert blocking, Jagex can't enforce it properly enough, it's just there to satisfy the advertisers. As for misusing customer support and the forums, if you think Jagex isn't going to update, would you care to actually bring some ideas to the table?
  19. Can someone explain to me how looters would be around, considering you can't get items when someone dies?
  20. If it took you most of junior high school to realize that Runescape gets you nothing in real life, then you should be more worried about sorting out your own common sense than what other people are doing with their time.
  21. +1, my favorite part in Hamlet is when he becomes suicidal after getting banned from the Runescape forums.
  22. While Runescape has sucked away countless hours of my life (or lack thereof), I'd hardly say I regret it. I've been working on my writing skills for years, starting out when I was still in elementary school, typing out short stories. Runescape has given me great inspiration on how to create a believable fantasy world, and I don't think I would've gotten the straight A's in my writing classes if it weren't for playing this game (this and the Elder Scrolls series) As for hanging out with friends, I had very few friends irl (I imagine the standards I set were too high), considering the rest in my school were brainless morons who couldn't point out their own country on a labeled map. Those that I did have were always busy in school clubs, and other activities, and eventually most moved on to College.
  23. :-w Yes, there is clearly something wrong with you in real life if you don't want the wilderness back to the way it was, and as mahomus pointed out with his infinite wisdom, it's that you don't have a life (irl, of course).
  24. How is this not a minigame? Either way, nobody would use it, and it would turn into a waste of space.
