RuneScape's logo: Dated compared to MechScape and FunOrb's?

Staking: Yet another concept that played out well once (still does on rsc) with a stable economy, yet doesn't do so well with a runaway economy (derailed by halfway literate twelve year olds and their "staker accounts")

Random events- Random prizes
Because Tip.It, for the most part, has little patience for stupid suggestions that will usually be geared towards nothing but separating players through combat level?

mind your servers!
Looks like worlds 97, 98, and 99 are offline. Oh well, what are you gonna do? Shrug it off and get back to work. *looks at sig* *Looks at avatar* I may be wrong but...aren't you retired? (if it's possible to retire from a video game as if it's, you know, a job that you've been working at for 30 years)

Grand Exchange Your Pros and Cons
Pros: I can literally sell shark in my sleep. Cons: WHY THE HELL AREN'T MY SHARK SELLING? I'd like to figure out how the priority works. Let's say player A is buying shark. Player B, C, D, E, and F are selling. Does the priority go: -Price (Lowest first) -Quantity (Most first) I had no problem selling 100 cooked shark instantly, yet when I went to sell them again for the same price, I haven't received a single buy all day (since last night)

~~Srry people on bad grammer on bsale thing me fix~~
+1. If you can comprehend english enough to use numbers instead of letters, you can just as easily form real words and sentences. Again, if you tried to trade me talking like that (which would probably go like "ill bye frum ur bnk s4le") I wouldn't trade you either. You'd go straight on my ignore list (after taking screenshots to post for hilarity)

Noobs say the funniest things!
You shouldn't have gotten a temporary ban for that, considering it is against the rules to threaten to report someone falsely, serious or not.

Seriously, just leave Jagex alone...

A "Laizer Faire" economy?
I wanted to make the laser fair joke! I had it pre-written and everything! I doubt this will affect the economy much. I've been trying to sell items for hours at minimum price (mage and range pots, 4 dose) and have no sales at all, over all servers (members)

OMG GE
We'll stop looking at the possible negative effects of the Grand Exchange if you agree to stop pouring your useless threads into the rants forum.

Runescape the new cheap knock off of wow?
1. No.....You don't even know how the grand exchange will function, other than the selling of items. WOW auction houses allow you to bid on an item, as far as I've seen the grand exchange shows absolutely no signs of being able to do that. 2. OH MY GOD! You mean Jagex implemented a ranking system for duels, something that's been in mmorpgs for....YEARS? Clearly it's a ripoff of wow, because wow did everything first. 3. How does making graphics updates while supposedly ignoring the combat triangle make runescape like wow? If anything, wow has updated their combat....hexogonal? more while ignoring the graphics. 4. Can't argue that point. You really should quit Runescape, you have the normal mentality of a world of warcraft fanboy (Which, oddly enough, matches the mentality of the average middle schooler)

One Minute Until Midnight
I love how when an update comes out that makes something easier, people scream "Omg! Helping the little kids! It's turning Runescape into NOOBSCAPE! Make it harder!" Meanwhile when an update comes out that makes something actually more difficult, people scream "Omg! This is an inconvenience! It's turning Runescape into NOOBSCAPE! Make it easier!" I'm sure Jagex has already come to the conclusion that you can't please a player community who doesn't even know their own wants.

Has Jagex lied to us?
Those systems do work, Jagex does use them but they take far too long for the amount of cheaters in the game. They've even said it themselves, they're cutting it off at the source. Make a better anti-cheat method, the cheaters will just make a smarter cheat. So what do you do? Get rid of the people who are benefiting from that cheat. Autoers will never be completely destroyed, most of them replaced with real people still gold farming. So get rid of stakers buying gold to stake with, keep monitoring trades (Word of warning: If your friend is level 3 in default clothing with a name like Zin Quang3152, and you "borrow" 20mil, expect it to look suspicious enough for Jagex to ban you), and eventually the business will be too small in runescape for 90% of the autoers to stay, and they'll move on to the next game.
-
Eventual deletion of the trade system?
mmm big macs. Yep, it's quite a discussion nowadays. I've got an article on my blog about it and everything.

what will the summoning cape look like?
I get it, and if you miss your court summonings again they're going to arrest you.

Why RuneScape is a game for kids.
You say retired as if playing a game for a few years then stopping is on the same level as, say, having a job for 30 years and stopping because you've added all you could. No video games require skill. The way runescape works is with clicking, skilling, grinding, and selling and buying. You're complaining about the fundamentals of an mmorpg, which you acknowledge is the norm. So in short, mmorpgs aren't for you, but you're going to complain anyway and expect to have it changed just because you said so and backed it up with idiotic retort. Oh yea, it'd be real fun if runescape was your vision, what with players running around screaming "ZOMG DA SPINICH ROLE IS RAR, BYE FRUM MEH!" I love getting scammed as a new player, don't you? Jackass. If you didn't scam in your time on runescape, I'd be extremely surprised. And yes, luring does count. And oh dear god, let's trash every update that isn't a super whip. I thought that the gnome update was fun since it added in a couple cool looking items, and gave me something to do for a while. And if you haven't noticed, Jagex stopped what was getting to be a tradition of putting out two pointless quests a month. Now it's one good quest at most. 3. Crybabies? In the rants forum? There's certainly one at the top of this thread. And get over it since it seems to hurt you so much. The internet is a way for people to easily express disagreement with what normally would be too insignificant to sit down and write up a letter about. 4. Don't praise classic to be higher than what it really was. I was there, the community was really no better, there were just as many scams (as you've already said), the only difference is the smaller scale. Also: You're not going to change lazy people. Neither is that Jagex's job. And also: If you're so proud of having retired from rs and have such little problem bashing it from a distance, don't come back to the runescape part of tip.it's forums. You have nothing creative to input into the game, and you don't play it. Frankly, most couldn't care less about your opinion at this stage.

*RuneScape will shine soon enough_
Consequences of this update: -Less people buying gold -Because of less demand, less supply -Less autoers at the yew trees/fishing spots/flax/etc -Less Yew logs/lobster/swordfish/flax/shark/etc available -prices rise -f2p can now chop yews more efficiently -More users chop yews, fish lobsters, etc to sell for the higher prices -Prices decrease -Less people buying gold -Less people staking -Less money to spend on rares -prices of rare go down -Less RWT getting banned after buying rares -Less rares leave the community (Same concept counts for high level armor and weapons) Have you seen the number of autoers in f2p? This is a bigger problem than just "some people".

Gielinor Tribune: 13th Edition (Nov. 24th)
Creating a game auction house, why didn't they come up with that earlier? Because it wasn't possible on the engine at the time? PvP ranking system, it should've been implemented the day JaGeX made the Duel Arena! It's a tournament ranking system. If you hadn't noticed, Jagex just released the tournament system. Would be pretty pointless to release the ranking system years before the actual update Wolpertinker, can't they find a new name? That's because it's a real (mythical) creature. World of Warcraft was just the first notable game to use it Great article, except for the bit about Runescape copying WoW. Would've also helped if the writer did minimal research apart from probably visiting a wow forum. -It's not spelled worpletinker -an evil identical to bob? That sounds a lot like, you know, evil bob. That's a completely different npc, and worpletingers aren't even in the game. -Hold on....You mean to tell me that you can view your rank....displayed as NUMBERS? Clearly if Jagex is putting your rank next to your score, using a method that's been used since 1980's arcade games, they're copying Wow. -The concept of an auction house is thousands of years old, and Wow is hardly the first game to use it. Failing bashing attempt towards Jagex.

*RuneScape will shine soon enough_
When it comes to the duel arena, the prices that determine if an item is stakable or not was taken from player prices. What's to stop Jagex from using those player set prices to set the grand exchange?

Clues, Secrets, and Forgotten Eggs about Summoning
In the 2004 behind the scenes, Jagex said that with the release of construction and farming, you would be able to grow crops in your house (not what we have now), which didn't happen. I'll be interested to see if they change summoning to where skeletons or demons don't make an appearance.
