Flame wars generally erupt due to the quality of the thread and the behavior of the original poster. In this case, it's another generic thread intended to do nothing but whine, call Jagex out for the usual hating their customers and trying to destroy the game, then flaming anyone who disagrees. You should just put this thread out of its misery and lock it now. There's no discussion value that has or will come out of a thread that encompasses ntohing but "omg Jagex hate us", and (to me) it just looks like a bait thread trying to incite this flame war; clearly it was successful. I have a feeling that the release of the 150th quest and Jagex not putting out a Behind the Scenes have something to do with one another. Don't want to spoil a big surprise?

Historik reminds me of BloodArgon, who many of you may remember as being a huge anti-Jagex troll and ended up being permabanned for botting, which he admitted to being true. I'm guessing Historik is using Bounty Hunter for more than just pking, considering his inane comments about "omg dis just shows how jadax hates gameplay" and how he's managed to not only derail the conversation, but put this thread somewhere in the 10th plane of torment.

That does get annoying, but it may just be a deadend that they can't get past. Trade, chat, etc windows get cancelled out by most other actions that take place, it would appear that your drop generating is one of those actions. The game may just want to bring your attention to the drop, so you don't look over something while viewing whatever window you have open.

Don't wait for the updates to come out to find out if they're putting the trade limit in, just quit now so you can stop crying and whining about everything Jagex does. No one does it? I hope they fire Mandrith. He didn't do that great of a job of finding RWT'ers and roundhouse kicking them...Or am I thinking of Chuck Norris? If they update Bounty Hunter to repel real world traders, they'll have lost yet another form of transfer, leaving only junk trading (which Jagex says isn't an issue, at least they say that for now) account selling (nothing you can do but try to detect ip changes) power leveling (same) and maybe pvp drop tricks (I think they said that wasn't an issue either). It'd be interesting if they found a way to give players more incentive to kill those who might be transferring. Real world traders usually take just one very expensive item in just in case they get broken up, so making someone like that a global target to players with one item or one item that's amazingly expensive over everything else they're carrying might help break back RWT'ing and get rid of the incentive to 1-item. We all win.
