  1. I never really use vouchers or coupons, mostly because I don't get any, but also because really, they're just a con. I mean, since when would large corporations act out of the kindness of their heart? The only exception are vouchers for places like Costco where we shop a lot, so they just come in handy if you were going to buy it already.
  2. The UK's population isn't the problem though, it's more the LEDC's and rapidly industrialising countries.
  3. "Daaaaang, Madeof12une! Wurd you learn to dance like that?" "The internet" Well if he's serious but doesn't wanna take lessons... My advice would be just to get up there and enjoy yourself. Who gives a monkeys what other people think? That's their problem, you just enjoy yourself and don't be self-concious. Easier said than done I know but that's what dancing should be about.
  4. Of course we are, that's why we need to head into space.
  5. What a strange load of bull. Some people are far too guillable to this kind of thing.

  7. Doesn't matter how you word it, that's still wrong.
  8. Really? Wow, where do you live? Sounds like an interesting place.

Most of the time i'm very laid back, and would go out of my way to avoid a porper row/argument. Other times I can feel all fired up, and although i've never really snapped at anyone i've often felt like I could if I was pushed.
  10. Despite all its flaws, humanity.

  13. Ah, phew, panicked there for a second and thought i'd forgotten, my sisters normally remind me :P
  14. Quantum mechanics kind of blows that view out of the water though. Eh, I guess you can't predict small things like where an electron is going to be... but I was thinking on larger scales. Quantum mechanics makes it so we can't know for sure where small things like electrons are going to be, but we could predict where something large is going to be with pretty much 100% certainty if we were omniscient in matters of past and present. Yeah I suppose so, although again, chaos theory goes and destroys that view for some dynamic systems (which is why long term weather forecasting is impossible).
  15. The History Boys - very local and close to home, very well written and acted. Well worth a watch, especially if you're English, or better yet, from Yorkshire.

  17. The political voting is dragging down what would otherwise be an entertaining show.
  18. Isn't it great? Excellent song in my opinion. As a matter of fact, you've inspired me to listen to it. :P It came up on shuffle but i'd forgotten how great a song it was :P Do You Believe In The Westworld? - Theatre of Hate Off a free cd I got in the newspaper today with a good selection of punk songs.
  19. Eh, I didn't really know there was much of a difference between arguging and a heated debate. I mean, there might be a few techincal differences, but the overall points are the same, right? How would you define an argument then?
  20. Debate is fine, heated debate is fine, vicious, blood-thirsty debate is fine. But argument? No. That's what happens when you abandon reason and logic, and instead resort to slander and jibe. You may as well stop.

    Guys, relax.
  22. I wish somebody had told me that they can't swim, or even float :(
  23. Some thoughts that i'd like to add: In France, drinking alcohol is a part of their culture. Most children will start having a small glass of wine from a young age with their parents during a meal. They are taught to appreciate fine wines and alcohol. And yet, they also have an extremely low rate of young alchoholism. Being drunk is heavily frowned upon in France, there is not the binge drinking culture evident in countries with stricter laws.
  24. I'm fine with it. I drink the odd beer with family or spirit after dinner. And when i'm with friends it's a bit more than "the odd" one. I'll never just drink to get hammered though, it's always just a consequence of drinking for several hours. I don't get drunk easily, I tend to hold my drink better than most of my friends. It just makes things more fun. And only beer and spirits, none of this alcopop rubbish.
  25. A Good Year - despite the bad reviews, I actually really enjoyed this. Idyllic setting.
