  1. I voted for Edgeville because that's where I do my favorite pastime, runecrafting.
  2. This is where you are wrong. Abyss pkers hardly risk anything at all since most runecrafters will not fight back. That's the reason they are despised so much, they are attacking players who have no interest in fighting. I have gained most of my runecraft levels through the abyss and been pked only a few times, but the times that I was killed the worst part was losing my four pouches since they can take up to an hour to get back. I will make sure they know how low they are on the pking hierarchy all I want.
  3. idea is great! lol I like this idea as well, I would love for my non-combat skills to actually mean something in combat situations.
  4. When you are defeated by another ship you will end up where you usually do and you will lose any items you normally would. The ship that is victorious will have loot distributed to the crew members via loot share or a central treasure chest. Your ship will return to Mos Le'Harmless, or perhaps some ship graveyard where you need to make some repairs before your ship is seaworthy again. Something I forgot to mention was that the ship's captain could recruit other players to join his/her crew, so it would be team vs team fighting. These fights would include firing cannons, boarding the other ship, etc.
  5. I think a seafaring skill would be the most beneficial to RuneScape. It could open up a new area the size of the current map. This would be possible if the starting off point for the skill is placed on Mos Le'Harmless and the map was expanded to the east. This new area could be mostly water with a few large land masses and smaller islands scattered around (think Greek islands). This would allow for new quests, dungeons, mini games, and an aquatic wilderness. In the wilderness portion of this new area all pvp would be fought between player owned ships. Those are my thoughts on a seafaring skill.
  6. I often wonder how summoning would be introduced into the game. At the moment I think one possibility would be through the elemental workshop series with the mysterious body door. Another possibility would be with the release of a "Tower of Life" sequel. No matter how Jagex goes about doing it I hope that summoning will require a high initial magic level.
  7. I would love a new skill (sailing/ship building/player owned ships) but only after Jagex finishes RuneCrafting and the Mournings End series.
  8. I listen to my "Free Beer and Hot Wings" podcast.
  9. It happened to me once before. I had a clue somewhere in mid-level wilderness that I dug up and then teleported. When I opened the casket I found out I had to go back #-o
  10. I myself think that the eggs will hatch into either a bird (pet or reusable range weapon) or dragon (not sure how it would be incorporated into the game). Personally I would like to have a pet bird that could sit on my shoulder, but until Jagex comes up with a use for these eggs I'll just have to hang on and see.
  11. I agree 100%. I am sick and tired of people ranting about animal abuse in RS. The game revolves around killing, how is shooing a dog as violent as killing monkeys, level 2 men and women, stealing from NPCs, killing monks, hunting, the list goes on. There are far more violent things found in the game, shooing a dog should be the least of someone's worries.
  12. I think f2p would benefit from this kind of update. When I was in charge of a clan (no longer functioning) all of our wars were on f2p, it would have been a huge help to have team capes. I'm usually against f2p updates, but I would have no problem at all if team capes were made available to f2p, I would actually jump for joy because it's actually a necessity for all clans.
  13. I always thought javelins would be really slow but hit hard. If you think about it you're throwing a wooden pole with a metal tip in a high arch to hit something far away, that would have to pick up some momentum and hit hard. I have a small collection of rune javelins from dust devils that are just taking up space, I really want a reason to use them.
  14. I'm a member and I was a little disappointed with the hood. I didn't vote for it but I was glad to see how it turned out. The only complaint I have is that the hood doesn't match anything. Jagex can fix it if they want but it's not that big of a deal. If we were to get a member only holiday item, like the wintumber tree, I would like it to be a jack-o-lantern that can be put in our POH garden or dungeon.
  15. Jagex should not let us pick the next holiday event. I want the item/emote to be a surprise.
  16. The problem with a price guide is that prices constantly change and it will require constant up keep by tip.it staff. Instead, those staffers could be working on new monster hunting guides or maintaining other site features. I didn't vote for a city database since there is already one provided by Jagex in the knowledge base. The selection I made was for the NPC database. I chose this because sometimes you could be doing a treasure trail or a new quest and you can't remember where Sir Tiffy Cashien is.
  17. There is some merit to your suggestion. The only way this could work would be if the items only came from players who are permanently banned. It could have a message to possible rule breakers as well, "If you break the rules and are banned your items will be sold to the general public".
  18. Does anyone know the amount of time required for the jade vine to grow (after the quest)?
  19. I'm an abyss runecrafter and I can deal with loosing a glory and d'hide. I usually run back to where I died and grab my non-tradeable, then look for the pker. After I find him/her I'll ask to buy my stuff back and they usually sell me my stuff. I'm ok with that, it breaks up the repetition and I get my stuff back in the end. The thing that I absolutely despise the most about being rc pked is having to get the damn pouches back. I'm level 77 runecrafting and I use all four pouches, that means if I die I have to get them all back. I have wasted so much time getting pouches that could have been spent on rcing. If it weren't for the pouches I would not feel so bad about getting pked. summary: I can care less about losing a glory, it's losing pouches that lead me to despise rc pkers.
  20. I personally think that Guthix intervened although I'm not sure how.
  21. My favorite location for a mature conversation is the the Piscatoris Fishing Colony. I figure that if it requires so many quest points, skill levels, and killing the sea troll queen then only serious players will be there. I hate fishing in Catherby or the Fishing Guild for the sole reason that a mature conversation can't be found.
  22. I don't see what the big dislike of eating is. If a player had the foresight to bring food they should not be insulted. In the wilderness it's every player for themselves, and self preservation is the key to success. Food is not an unfair advantage, its common sense.
