Napoleonic Hegemony
Well...Ico thinks it is game breaking to attack another player when they are weak...You, I and Retech are caught up in Revolutions, Dusty is the Mod, Dungeonal has been quiet so far...might be a threat....Edel might attack, though seems unlikely. Rocco might attack for the luls, as might Paul or Sere...But if they are attacking for the luls then trol should be able to defeat them.

Said Goblin was better off though.

If I remember correctly, you came off worse after one goblin caught you....

Interest Check: Picture Dungeoneering
Hmmmm, say what they said to me when I started Rusco...it seems like alot of work. Added to that Dungeoneering usually consists of getting to the surface, setting fire to the nearest town and then seperating in all directions.

If the spies I have in your country get caught...they deserve it. In other news [redacted] beings sending secret cyphers to all of Russia's Military Commanders, as well as a bunch of random peasents which include the [redacted] spies in Russia....In Yellow envelope, with a big Black eagle on and the words 'WARNING THIS ENVELOPE CONTAINS SECRET SPY INSTRUCTIONS FOR AGENTS IN RUSSIA, IF YOU ARE NOT A SECRET AGENT WORKING FOR [redacted] THEN DO NOT OPEN THIS ENVELOPE.' Written in [redacted] Mwhahaha, the perfect way of communicating with [redacted] spy ring.- Napoleonic Hegemony
Prussia is in a delicate position...Since it is trying to cause a revolution without anyone getting killed...seemingly while people send spies in to blow apart my country. I doubt we have even seen the proper revolutionary army for Prussia yet  Personally I would have filled the wheel spokes with gunpowder and put a small flintlock in the connector rods...the force when the cannon is fired would cause a spark and blow the wheels off the cannon... Wouldn't kill anyone, probably, but it would be funny to watch the enemy wonder what had happened.- Napoleonic Hegemony
Thanks Dusty - Napoleonic Hegemony
Your plan is to make people live in Siberia, in their underwear...and send all your most loyal soliders off to Siberia. Then create an army of highly trained peasents with no officers to give them any sort of direction, then station them outside your palace. Then create an army of peasent beaucrats to administer large parts of your empire. In Archi logic that means: Create Dissent and send away the army that would protect me. Create a highly dangerous army and station them outside my home. Create people to take over from the nobles.- Napoleonic Hegemony
Your plan is to become the revolutionary element?- Modern Warfare
If your plan was to find lava and build a cunning trap, then yeah...though kinda depends on Ico putting lava in.- Modern Warfare
What I would do is assign people as defenders or attackers, put a research base or a government building or something like that on the map...and then the attackers have to defeat the defenders...and visa versa. You would have special forces, which cost alot, have extra action points, specialist weapons and some gadgetry(2 turn cloaks, bullet shields and such)...and ordinary forces, which are cheap, have normal action points, more generalised weapons and basic gadgets(grenades, laser sights and such) The defenders can buy machine gun posts, AA guns, mines and other such stuff to deploy before the battle and the attackers can buy paratroops, missile attacks and recon planes(Both sides could use both I guess) which could be deployed during the battle. Winning generates Progress Points which you can use to buy new technology, or improve existing technology. Since the game is scenario based, rather than campaign based, it would be difficult for someone to be unbeatable. I would probably limit the max number of troops to 35 normal troops or 7 special forces(1 special = 5 normal)...just to stop the game getting boring, or people zerging.- Modern Warfare
Some people take modship as a chance to play God...Those people shouldn't be mods because they don't understand that they have a duty to the players not to act like a jerk or to pander...- Modern Warfare
Rockets, not missiles. Rockets are fairly cheap, since you are basically building a very small engine and a frame...Almost like a model aircraft. In Dungeoneering you could do that, but it would(at least when I was running it) take weeks to puring. Hegemony is Hegemony...People play it because each time is different, so you can think up new ways to break the game. This game isn't gonna have new and exciting game breaking techs...or a plot to work too... I am just trying to guess why people don't want to play the game...- Modern Warfare
Edit: See Retech's post... Couldn't you just use AA guns and Snipers...Since Anti-Snipers are just Snipers... Or just have mines and AA guns? Or use mines with snipers and AA guns? But even then you could just use missiles or rockets....I mean realistically could you build cheap rockets and launch thousands of them as the Nazis did towards the end of WW2, and destroy the enemy that way...and there is no defence against that. Its kinda like the end of Sere's Hegemony, the technology exists to annihilate the enemy, if someone starts winning then people degenerate to overpowered weapons.- Modern Warfare
I think what stops people playing is that these sorts of games have a habit of turning into 'My uber soliders kill you' 'No my uber soliders kill you' With everyone armed with 88 millimeter hand cannons... Or else become rathering boring because the M14(Whatever) is the best gun...So everyone has the best gun, then it is about how many troops you send into a situation. Crack teams never work well in these kinds of games because people always have their full army at exactly the right place to counteract the crack team. It was the same with Navies in Hegemony...people spread 200 ships across 1,800 miles and expected their full 200 ships to attack any ship along the 1,800 miles... So it takes a very 'This is what happens' moderator...Which, personally, I don't see you as - Napoleonic Hegemony
If it is a historic event it wouldn't be announced for another 12 years or so. 1793. So I would say it needs to be published =P- Napoleonic Hegemony
Its more probable through, and you should be weary.- Napoleonic Hegemony
Prussia is greatly saddended by an attempt on the life of its King... His policies of reform and change, a threat to the would be Oliver Cromwell character of Karl Schultz... Who would sooner see Drinking, Dancing and Joy abolished, replaced with nothing more than torture, tax and bloodshed.- Something Zombie Related
What we could do is create tiles...So each person creates a few tiles, which Doom randomises and slots into the map. Since the tiles don't have cellers or stockpiles on (just terrain I assume) we don't get much of an advantage since, by the time we recognised the tile, we would have already explored most of it. Depending on the size of the tile...obvouisly.- Napoleonic Hegemony
King of Prussia agrees with the revolutionary writers, a way to keep order and prevent chaos.... Do you expect a nobleman to know how to plow a field or the common man to run an estate? Does the solider give orders to general? Do the flowers tell the gardener where to prune? Do the children tell the parents to do chores? It is true that there is oppression, and that MUST be fixed...but it cannot be fixed by subverting the natural order. The common man and the nobleman should work together, just as Lutheran and Calvinists are, even now, resolving their differences within Prussia. Let us not repeat the Reformation's burning and slaughter of innocents on both sides. We must discuss our differences, give each other time to change our views, so that our children may live in peace and prosperity.- Something Zombie Related
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/String_telephone Someone told me they were called Daisy Cups in America. Anywho. What you could do is have a dungeoneering like leveling system, people get 100 points to distribute between their people and gain points from doing stuff. The farm is an interesting idea...If the game was set at a rate of 1 month per day, then every X number of days a food crop came in. As long as there were less farms than players, otherwise everyone would have their own farm, have 15 people farming and everyone wants farming to be faster and take less people...and it would just degenerate into budget resets. However, if farms existed, were fewer in number and took 15 people to run, then people would have to co-operate and/or trade...So you would have scavangers and farmers, the scavangers protect the farmers and, in exchange, the farmers give food to the scavangers... That or the scavangers spend 11 days in the wilderness collecting stuff and then come and trade/raid with the farmers for food. Obviously there would be food elsewhere...but the farms would provide a stable supply.- Napoleonic Hegemony
Actually what I am doing...Since I am gonna get hit with a random event about Pillnitz, thought I might as well prempt it. But since the post doesn't actually contain anything that actually happens, there was no need to PM you...Since Imperial France seems not to take the revolution seriously, so are unlikely to allow Prussia to send a bunch of troops romping around the country side, especially if the Revolutionary army only numbers 2,000 currently. - Napoleonic Hegemony
