If you get a email in gmail where you friend mentions he got a new palm you will get a text add for palm.com on the far top of your screen. I never even really notice it but its actually really handy, if your friend mentions some xbox gaem you never heard of chances are there will be a link in the add bar that will take you to a website with pics and a description about the game. You get info, companies sell more, and Google gets money. Its a win-win-win :D Ebay gets commision as stated before.

Ironic how that same opinion isn't echo'd at Apple  I totally agree with you darkrick, in fact I agree so much that I went back in time and made a post about it : D Why does Apple sell the Nano when its the same thing as the Mini just smaller and with sligthly better specs? The answer to both is that people will continue to buy all models of whatever the company is selling, so they will continue to improve those models to please the customers and show that they are woking non stop to make the product even better. Yea, its how the electronic world works. Palm, Apple, Nintendo, Nokia, Sony... they keep reselling the same thing in a new package. Practically there entire sales are based on mankind's "you only want what you don't have" nature

*whistles* Ingenious marketing move. McDonnalds will gladly foot the bill for the WiFi since there will be kids wanting to go there to play and Nintendo gets a massive bonus. Now they can say you can play wirelessly in everytown... what does almost every town have? A McDonnalds!. Lol, brilliant. Sucks for PSP.
-
Yea, let me clarify just in case; I'm not looking for opinions on why the other system is horrible, etc. I'm just curious as to what the facts regarding sales are

A year or so ago there were massive posts and debates on the PSP vs the DS, but as of late I havent heard a thing about the PSP. I saw a pop up banner saying "free PSP if you hit the clown" and it reminded me that the PSP even excists, all my friends have a DS. Does anyone have any idea how the sales are doing globaly? Did the DS or PSP officially win the battle?

Gonna have to disagree with you there Merciful. Not only is that sorta a sterotype but I pesonally know 3 girls in my grade (college freashmen) that are dating high school seniors and in 1 case a high school juinor
-
well, when i see a girl, i don't feel anything, even if she looks good. but when i see her, i feel very strange... i hope this explains it a bit... but i'll just try and make the best of it tomorrow and try to start a conversation with her, should happen once. thanks by the way... i'm feeling way better than before because of your messages... =) thanks I disagree weezcake, I know the feeling. It has nothing to do with attractiveness (althought the girl is almost always slightly above average pretty but not really hot) and for some reason this girl just stands out. You don't know why and you can't explain the feeling in words. In my case I could practically feel it when she entered the room, even if you didnt see her walk in you just suddenly get this feeling and you turn around and lo and behold she just walked by.

Wow, I feel like an idiot. I for some reason thought you double posted and that was your 2nd post. Wow I;m dlysexic. I sincerly apologize GhostRanger, heck one of my pet peeves is when I get misquoted. As the the 6 or 7 people that replied to my post: How is that a bad comparision? He said because Tim Burton uses a Mac, they are not lame. If there not lame they are good. So by that logic if Tom Cruise (someone "important") drives an A.M. then that must mean that A.Ms are good cars. Also as you may notice I agreed with you that Apple's are not lame, so this entire argument shouldn't have really even started, I take the blame for that but oh well. - - - - - On Topic: BMW said it best. There really are no iPod haters, its a great MP3 player. There are just some people that get annoyed by the way many people blindly buy an iPod and then prances around with it with their nose in the air. Then they looks at your non apple Mp3 player and show you a facial expression of utter disgust that looks like they just saw you kill a kitten.

Lame computers...you're right. I mean seriously, who in the world uses Apple computers?

I agree, I will say it once and I will say it a thousand times more. You only want what you don't have so you can't buy something that will make you happy and no amout of money will make you happy. The sooner people truly realize that the sooner they will enjoy life for what it is. As for what makes me happy? Sunsets, random cloud formations (especially at sunset), a view of a lake in solitude lake, and being alone in the wilderness.

I have been using some TIs as of late and I can now report the following. In addition to basic math, logs, etc: ti-83 = Graphing the casio = Logic (solves formulas, derivities, standered deviation, etc) 89 = Graphing and Logic Technically speaking the 89 is the best but you cant use it on any standerized tests or some teacher's tests. Buying a the casio and a 83 is the best par se, it is cheaper and both are allowed on every test. Only problem is you will need 2 calculators if you want to graph and solve equations on the same test/assignment

Heh, I knew that was fake when it said "you can smoke 5 cigaretts a day and be healthier" I mean honestly, I belive the trains are electric so no emmisions. If that was referring to the bacteria then it couldn't be more wrong. Its a proven fact that if you are near bacteria eveyday you will live a MUCH healthier life then if you disenfect everything around you and wash you hands all the time.

Wow I didn't think it was that popular. I just saw it an hour ago in the dorm room next to mine since I was bored and he said he was about to watch this movie for the 3rd time today. Lol. Indiana Jones part was great, so was Stewie just getting killed in the end. Lol. The wacky wavy arms guy was highly amusing, as was Bugs Bunny, the part where the news guy says "Wow, you just put your race back 1000 years", and pretty much the rest of the movie. Lol. Good stuff. Also, I for one love the "I remember when"/"Back when"/"this is almost as bad as the time"/etc I love those flashbacks,

The Command and Concour series. The original was all right, Tiberium Sun was fun, and Red Alert & Red Alert II are some of the best games I ever played. Also you get usually get a big combo pack with all 5 of the games and their add-ons (a total of like 20 CDs) for around $30

I loathe people that play fighting games by just mashing buttons :| Especially when its at my house, and its my controller. If you don't know what you're doing, don't play the game.
-
Awesome game. I'm used to be really good but I don't play nearly enouph anymore so I'm average proably. Kirby rocks, Young Link/Roy are also awesome, and if I play for fun I take Mew-Two (His foward throw is the best looking attack in the game if there is a wall infront of you) :) Fun trick: Play Giant Melee. Choose a small level and put on giant mushrooms. Things get crazy, and if you use Mario do his taunt. (small map+giant charcters+growth mushroom+Mario's taunt=!!!!!)

I used to use it, then I switched computers and the only Opera I could get was Opera 8, I was used to 6. Opera 8 was really wierd compared to the awesomeness that was Opera 6 that I had used for 2+ years. Also it loaded really slowly on my compter due to a firewall problem that I fixed recently. Come to think of it I should try Opera now that I fixed that problem... oh well. I got firefox since I heard it was on par with Opera and it was add free. I miss the cache Opera makes (when you hit back and foward it is instantanious, whereas firefox reloads the page) and I miss how when you re open Opera it has the pages you left on. The main plus of Firefox is the scroll wheel thing, where you can click on a link with it and it opens into a new tab, and you can scroll wheel click on the tab to close it... yea. Anyway I have been using firefox for a few monthes now so I'm used to it. Depending on your results I may give Opera a 3rd chance

Good point, I was wondering about that too. Example, if a LOTR game comes out the studio would want it availble to as many people as possible, so it would be the standard controller type game for the Ps3 and 360. Would they redo the entire game to fit the Rev? :?. I don't know. No one does. One the other hand IGN confirmed "Praise for Revolution controller from Hideo Kojima and Square Enix" We can only assume these 3rd parties liked the Dev Kits they recieved.

The video of it was awesome, especially -the tennis game where the people literally dive to hit the ball -Sword slashing -The Fps. You acutally need good hand eye coordination : D

I'm in pre-med and their is a lot of studying but me and 7 other guys/ladies formed a sweet pre-med study group and we meet before each quiz and eat ice cream and massivly overstudy simply because we can and its actually kind of fun since the subjects are interesting :)

The New PS3 and Xbox360, Next Gen For The Gaming Industry?

Regarding the Rev. controller: Nintendo has a history of being, well, revolutionary, with the controllers. Remember Rumble Pack? It's still used today. Also somone said N64 for was the premier of an analog stick game controller, but I don't remember when Sony relased theirs so I can't confirm. Hmm, we'll just have to wait and see -
Yea. Complex, One Hit kills, sniper rifles/pistols. 3 or 4 players. Best. Scenario. Ever.

I would give it a try is a friend had it. Personally I love Goldeneye how it is. There alrady was a re-make of the multiplayer levels. It was called Perfect Dark . Maybe in 20 years when they perfect VR technology I would be interested in a re-make, but as things stand now just like I still love Zelda for the SNES, I am perfectly happy with the original graphics.

The New PS3 and Xbox360, Next Gen For The Gaming Industry?

You're mistaken. Though Commandant needs to stop putting things down, FF10 is far from a good looking game. The enviroments are bland and lack detail and the characters don't look that great. The only good looking parts were the CG cutscenes. Not to pick hairs here, but although I never played FF10, FF7 fits his description perfectly. Awesome story line and truly spectacular graphics. I mean look at the cut scenes in FF7, they still look awesome and that game is over 8 years old. Eight years old! Thats insane.   omg, ive seen those, those arnt even near ff10. Ff10 had such uber graphics, probably some of the best ive seen. And the environments were no where bland... and the charcters were preatty good for talking and t hat... But if you want even better graphics, there is ff10-2, it had cg stuff right in the game, and the faces were so well done. And if anyone has ever played xenosaga... omg i just played it today, hands down, the first sceane has the best graphics iver ever seen, even better then any ive seen for any new system, or any graphics in a movie. So realistic. Granted FF10 has great graphics, but I don't see whats so funny about FF7. FF10 came out a measly 3 years ago. FF7 was made over 8 years ago. Lets compare two popular games both released in 1997. Both games sold millions. One was made by Rare, one was made by Square. FF7: Goldeneye: The games were released around the same time. Now, whats to lauph at when it comes to FF7 graphics? Also you can see how Square is usually ahead of the competition.
