  1. Thanks for reminding me :. Added when I got those to the "other stuff" list.
  2. Whatever sounds fun I guess :P. I don't want a conformist skill like cooking to be my first 99 non-combat, so probably firemaking or hunter may be next to 99.
  3. RATE ME :P Ok before you all go "wtf z0mg wer r z33 r4r3s!!!?!?!"... My bank has no holiday items for a couple reasons. 1)Jagex never intended for them to be so extremely overpriced, and 2)I refuse to support merchanting of them by investing in one myself. The only rares I have are the untradable ones starting with Bunny Ears (except Scythe... missed it). Bank: (tons more in my POH but I withdrew the highlights to put them in this pic) Collections: (For the record, I didn't buy any of these...) -Strange fruit -Burnt lobsters -Talismans (non-elemental) -Sapphires -Mining helmets -Rune defenders Stats: PS: I still to this day refuse to spend a single gp on Prayer. I've got to 81 with supplies I've collected solely by myself. Other stuff: -Account started in late April 2003 (playing since September 2002). -All quest points since mid 2004 (do all quests day-of). -All Chompy Hats since August 2004 (4,513 kills). -Fire Cape since October 11, 2005. -Dragon drops: 3 left halves, 9 platelegs, 7 plateskirts, 1 med helm, 1 spear.
  4. 1) When meleeing them, range defense is useless. At close-range they don't use their ranged-base attack. 2) Veracing or Guthaning both work. You protect from magic and drink an antifire potion. Both of these combined blocks all of their dragonbreath attacks as well as their magic based attacks. Using this method the only damage you will take is from their melee attacks. Otherwise nice job.
  5. They've NEVER updated on the weekend. It's always a weekday. Don't hold your breath :P
  6. Skill capes don't stack with existing level boosting items like potions. It wouldn't help.
  7. With good reason. The Construction skill's only hint was a few lines at the very end of the BTS for May 2006:
  8. That's a Lumberjack top. You can get them from doing Temple Trekking.
  9. RSN: Headnazgul Three submissions. [hide=Hitpoints Cape][/hide] [hide=Ranged Cape][/hide] [hide=Defence Cape][/hide]
  10. Here's my setup for meleeing them if anyone is interested. Ignore the rune arrows, I forgot to bank them after the last trip. Just pot up, protect from melee, and whip away. My stats are: 99 Attack 99 Strength 99 Defense 99 Hitpoints 80 Prayer 95 Magic 99 Ranged I dunno how efficient this would be if you're not as high level :\
  11. I've been meleeing them with karils and melee protect. My best trip I killed 9 of them and my worst trip I killed 5. It seems to work pretty well given my stats. My best drop so far was just a rune battleaxe or a rune full helm. I did get an ancient page but it was pretty much useless... it only said stuff about how the water temp of the lake is higher than it should be. You have to consider the fact that these monsters are higher level than the KBD. And the KBD has horrible drops and is much harder to kill. If anything should be "fixed" it should be the KBD not these. These drop d meds AND d full helms with the added chance of a draconic visage thrown into the mix. Those are great drops if you ask me.
  12. Infinity boots have the best magic defense of any boots... and torags helm has same defense stats as dharok helm, hence, i dont have one. Plus with experimenting, I've found that the dragons dont use ranged when their being meleed. So wearing karils is the best choice of armor.
  13. Clearly you haven't read my guide to meleeing metal dragons. I tried ranging them with runite bolts, 99 range, range pot, antifires, eagle eye, and steel skin and I STILL got my [wagon] handed to me. Here's an inventory and equipment setup for meleeing them. It works a hell of a lot better than ranging them. Just pot up, protect from melee, and swing away. It's much easier than ranging them. EDIT: it sems karils works much better than melee-defense armors.
  14. It wasn't a lie... Don't make accusations. Jagex originally wrote that in the Behind the Scenes for July, but later in the day they edited it out.
  15. There isn't. They don't exist yet. Any picture of them not from runescape.com is a fake.
  16. There's no way dragon armor will look like that :P. Dragon items never look like their counterparts. They're always much fancier and flashier.
  17. Looks like I'll need to update the metal dragon guide soon. Hopefully a whip and some super potions is enough to hit it still. I doubt they'll give it any unique attacks like the kbd has though. It will most likely still have the basic long-range firebreath, close-range firebreath, and melee attack that all metal dragons share. It will also probably drop 5 mith bars in accordance with the pattern of the lower level metal dragons. It will most likely drop dragon skirts and legs more often than steel dragons as well. The dragon full helmet, while a welcome addition, isn't going to be anything special. Barrows will have better stats and there's little chance, if any, that they're going to add strength or attack bonuses to it. Plus, everyone seems to be forgetting that we still don't have a dragon warhammer or shortsword, who cares about pickaxes. Perhaps one of those will be in the Mithril dragons drop list. The addition of 10 rooms to the maximum allowed in your POH is a sweet update, but one I personally have little use for. My POH has everything I need already. Any additional rooms would just go towards a dungeon which no one will probably ever use. Finally, it seems a lot of people need to look up the word "clarify" in the dictionary. You will NOT get to choose which items you keep if you die. Jagex is only adding a feature that shows you which items you won't lose when you die without a skull. This will be a great feature not only for obvious reasons but because it will help us figure out how much some items are worth. Items that you can't get a shop price or high alch price from (such as a fully charged Dragonfire shield) because no one will want to alch theirs. It seems Jagex removed that bit from the Behind The Scenes for some reason. Maybe they didn't want to tell us everything they were going to update.
  18. *cough* That would be me, not Odd. If you bothered even reading the whole thing you'll understand exactly why Magic is NOT the number one tactic. Directly from the guide: Next time use constructive criticism as Dragontotem suggested.
  19. Totally agree with you there. People like that annoy me so much. I don't see what's so appealing to these people about spelling words this way. It's not faster if you're a good typer because you will naturally want to spell them correctly. That's one reason I never started doing that stuff. I don't even say "u", "c", or shorten any of my words with numbers. In the long run it's actually worse for you because if you're typing an essay you'll be out of practice with formal writing. And yes I find substitutions to be equally annoying. Such as "skimi" or "kool". First off, it's pronounced "simitar" NOT "skimitar" people . And the irony in saying "kool" is the fact that spelling it with a "k" isn't cool at all. PS: You misspelled the word "misspelling" in the topic's title WiivelYoshi. It's one of the most misspelled words in the English language interestingly.
  20. Can you still fight wyverns without an ele\mind shield if you use melee protect? I used to fight them a bunch and I could do it with a rune defender because melee protect blocked their ice breath, just wondering if that's still true. EDIT: Still works \
  21. Just got 274 dragon dart tips from one. It spawned in the northwest corner then flew southeast pretty quickly. Took forever to catch, even with magic net and 93 hunter >.>. EDIT: Just caught another one, Northwest corner again (on a different world too). It gave 286 dragon dart tips.
