What's wrong with buying skills? It's not like their money appeared out of thin air Or did it? How many people do you think still have ill begotten gains? I would dare say quite a few.

I didn't see any topic about this yet. Has anyone seen any uses for the new familiars? I mean would it be worth the inventory space? I am just wondering. I should be going for my first cape in another month or so, and wouldn't mind having some familiar to help. Thanks in advance.

Wow, qeltar, after our spat yesterday, I must say that this is something I can completely agree with you. I like that someone shouldn't have it in a week or two. Give them something to work for.

for someone who is against merchanting and such...i hardly feel he's after profits... You must be a media major. You took my whole post out of context. Read his original post. He is upset because he can't sell it for a higher price. Which indicates to me that he is upset that he can't make money.

That, my boy, is called supply and demand. Let's say, there are 100 of the new items in the game and there are 100000 people trying to get them (could happen with very rare items). Should the 100 items be sold at incredibly low prices, just because, huh, because of what actually? :ohnoes: Why not? Let me ask you this. Do you think that had there been restrictions all along that we would have this thread? No.. it is just a game and someone is mad because they can't make billions off some poor sap. I am happy because it will mean that I can afford it. So, in essence, we are all being selfish but for different reasons. Qeltar is being selfish because of lack of profits. I am being selfish because I can afford something. It is up to you to decide which one you agree with. I am sure that if I wanted to I could see the argument from qeltar. I just like it this way better.

Prayer is possible without spending anything at all. Smithing as well. And Smithing 99 with buying the ores and selling the products will not even cost 100M, even if you would use the most expensive way, gold bars. yes and it hasn't always been like that. So maybe give it some time and other oppurtunities will surface of how to level summoning. The skill is not even 24 hours old and you complain already? you've been hanging out with qeltar too much :P All things will be improved. I remember trying to train prayer without ectofungus or guilded altar. It took forever. Think of how slow herb is. I like this. It is going to be legend..wait for it..ary.

Exactly, wait until next month when we get another update. I am sure by the end of the week we will have ways to train this both cheap and effeciently (not necessarily the same way). It will just take more than a few hours.

I expected them to do what they SAID they were going to do, and let PLAYERS decide the prices instead of pulling ridiculous numbers out of their derrieres. Why is it a ridiculous price? Just what were you going to sell it for? How much did it cost to create it? If you made any type of profit, then it is better than most skills that we have. I just disagree. I didn't say any harmful thing towards any of you. I think it is good that they made it a reasonable price.

I must be in a strangely positive mood today. Good, I am sure that next month they will add some things to make it a bit easier. I don't want it to be easy. As long as I can get around 50 this year, I will be happy.

Eventhough you obviously don't agree, I believe Jagex has made many moves to improve customer relations. They have cleaned the game of Real World Traders. I am not sure if you know this but they just revolutionized the game with a little thing called summoning. GE means you don't have to stand there typing "Selling 1k cooked lobbies" for 2 hours. I think that you need to take a break and come back when you have cooled down.

So, I am guessing that they stack right?

I was just about to say try playing for free. You will get tired of the ridiculousness of f2p and come back to p2p or quit.

Are the charms tradeable? Can you get them from the GE in other words?

Well, I am sure that this will just stoke the fire, but I pay to play. My money goes towards the privilege of getting better aspects of the game. If you want more, then by all means put up your 5 dollars.

What is the reward? Does it just open the skill or is there more to it?

I am glad it is finally here. I can't wait to get off work and begin my next quest to get 50 summoning. I hope that I have what it takes.

Yesterday, while watching the football games, I logged in to mine and noticed over 200k people logged in. I think that it is lower than it used to be, but think back in early 2005, I don't think it was ever much over 160k at one time.

I would prefer the range cape, but any 99 is respectable if you respect many hours grinding away at a keyboard.
