  1. Thanks, that's helpful!!
  2. Lol, "bedroom" is the default so sometimes this happens. I've made the changes and credited you, thanks for letting us know.
  3. I thought the images looked similar, too, so I had to ask a crewbie with better eyesight to take a look, heh. I am told that "number 1 has less gold around the light and the circle band part." From the Seer's Diary Guide: Pictures that should be identical, from our items database: If you have a headband that looks different, please submit a PNG picture of it - perhaps Jagex has changed the look? We'd be glad to update and credit you, if that is the case!
  4. To accompany the above, here are pics of the various pet feeders and houses for the menagerie: Level 37 Oak (4 oak planks each) - plain, serves up to 3 pets Level 52 Teak (4 teak planks each, plus existing oak item) - red features, serves up to 6 pets Level 67 Mahogany (4 mahogany planks each, plus 1 gold leaf for feeder, plus existing teak item) - gold trim, serves up to 10 pets There are no higher level feeders. However, level 92 construction offers the chance to build three unusual houses: Level 92 Desecrated Pet House (4 mahogany planks, plus 1 magic stone, plus existing mahogany item) Level 92 Consecrated Pet House (4 mahogany planks, plus 1 magic stone, plus existing mahogany item) no pic available Level 92 Natural Pet House (4 mahogany planks, plus 1 magic stone, plus existing mahogany item) no pic available (thanks to crewbie Rien Adelric for making these pictures. desecrated pet house courtesy of olly3c, mahogany feeder courtesy of Neko Negde)
  5. In a "better late than never" move, here are pics of the Menagerie (level 37) habitats. The pictures are lined up to show the two "features" of the scenery (cannot interact with them), as well as the location of the summoning obelisk if you choose to build it: Level 37 Garden habitat (large tree stump, mushrooms) shown in Jagex Knowledge Base picture (remote linking verboten) http://www.runescape.com/img/main/kbase/skills/construction/screenshots/rooms/example_menagerie.jpg Level 47 Jungle habitat (boring rock, skinny tree, tall grass - this habitat is not popular) Level 57 Desert habitat (group of red rocks, cactus, sand) Level 67 Polar habitat (cute igloo, pine tree that is snowed in on one side, snow) Level 77 Volcanic habitat (volcano, dead tree, lava flow on ground) (Thanks to crewbie Rien Adelric for creating these pics)
  6. Clarified, thanks!
  7. Sorry drixoman, this type of post (that the guide is wrong, with no specifics) really doesn't help us. The guide was already created to be as accurate as possible. If you have specific things we should look at, we'd love the help and will be happy to make the appropriate corrections. Please check out our sticky How to Submit Info in this forum. Adding Achievement Diary rewards is probably a good idea, we will look into that. I realise you are wanting to help. We look forward to hearing from you with specific errors so we can make our guide as accurate as possible!
  8. With all of the corroborating screenies from 2+ topics, we finally got a minimap pic added to the quest guide with this information. Helpful posters have been credited. Thanks!
  9. Quest guide has been updated, including a minimap picture oriented north-south. All helpful posters have been credited. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
  10. A nice buff of this guide JUST to number the steps and clarify things like the above is definitely in order. Hopefully we can get a crewbie familiar with the area (redoing the quest is not needed) to fix it up. (Sadly, I cannot edit this guide.) EDIT 23 Oct 2009: a crewbie has edited the quest map so that the "jump over" (the rope swing bits) show as black, the same as in the game now. Hopefully that makes it clear that part is not swamp. We do have someone assigned to buff this guide, as well. Locking.
  11. changes made to add canopic jar and 9K strength xp. thanks to all who contributed.
  12. I am posting this here for a Crewbie to do because I cannot edit this quest. - pokemama ========================================= Micarina wrote: ========================================= Castle is SOUTHWEST of Fisherman. Killed the lvl 120 Black Titan with my lvl 42 Magic (Water Blast ftw)! I stood WAY back and it took a while, then when I went to hit him with Excalibur when he had no hp left he nearly killed me (no pic, too busy eating). Fairly straightforward quest, used Camelot tp and glory ammy a lot and saved a LOT of travel time.
  13. If someone hasn't done the quest, can you please get some pictures and snapshots of the lock interface and the text to show us what has happened and what is different? That would be AWESOME! A .png format pic of the lock would be best. Pics of the text can be in any format.
  14. The quest reward always includes an uncut sapphire. Your friend may have gotten the strength xp before he looked. Major fansites say the same, however the Wiki says that the combat xp is random. If you can submit a proof pic or vid we can try to fix this, but as it is we have no way of knowing.
  15. Fixed. This was a USA vs UK problem.
  16. Jagex has always been bad about including all gloves/gauntlets when a new quest comes out needing gloves. (Ghosts Ahoy picking nettles was one, Mountain Daughter picking white pear atop white wolf mountain was another.) It would probably be best if we just said leather gloves.
  17. I can confirm this, I did the same thing way back when I did the quest. Think I only got an axe, but it was better than nothing. However, fighting the moss giants isn't necessary afaik - just run to the two areas and get r done.
  18. We keep our website and software squeaky clean. We want to keep our users safe! And as meol said, if we did have a problem there would be hundreds (or thousands) of users wanting to kill us, lol. Normally, I'd say it's possible that you picked up a virus from another site, but given what you've said it doesn't seem likely. So two more possibilities occur: 1. Google ads may have served us up a bad (dangerous) ad. Google very quickly removes such ads when they happen, and it occurs Very infrequently. 2. Or perhaps an ad caused a popup that MIMICKED your antivirus software, falsely saying there was a problem. When you click such a popup that is not from your own computer, it typically transfers you to a site where they want you to download something or buy something. I don't know if either one of these is really what happened. I recommend scanning your computer well to ensure it is safe. I hope you will try us again. If it does happen again, please do try to notice even just the Name of the company advertising (even without a link) on the top and sides. It might at least give us a *hint* if an ad is the problem.
  19. Code modules are typically bundled together for testing and rollout. I expect that they already have a bundle of code that's nearly ready to go. (That is clearly how past Jagex releases have been done, based on their announcements.) If they tried to add stuff to this upcoming week's package, it would stop the release because it would have to be checked and tested and prepared for loading onto the servers all over again. Thus they will pack it with a later software release.
  20. To expand on the question's intent a bit better: This wasn't really about the Hide/Show for the quest walkthroughs. That was done years ago at the request of Jagex, and I doubt that will be changed even tho I personally find it inconvenient as well. What the question is really about, as someone said above, is hiding long bits of text that you may or may not be interested in. For example, in the Summoning guide we have a Beginner's Walkthrough: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=summoning ... m#beginner Below the table are some wordy explanations of the table (ending with "but the shards will cost a whopping 28,125 gp.") So, we put a blue bar below the table, with a hide/show option. Also, in the King's Ransom quest guide, there is a mini-quest at the end called the "Knight Waves Training Ground." We posted it in the Tips and Tricks section. In order to avoid spoiling it, again there is a blue box with the option to hide/show. We have also done this for the Back to My Roots quest (which offers the Wizard's Burial miniquest AND the Jade Vine daily), and the In Pyre Need quest (for the Phoenix daily). In the ME2 guide the Dwarf's list is hidden (it's 50 items!) So, we are debating doing this a bit more because our Skill guides are getting so long (and sometimes wordy.) One drawback, as someone stated above, is that text in a "hide" tag cannot be found using a CTRL-F. So that is a drawback. To compensate, we would use very good SubHeaders and a sentence or two of description before the hide/show box, and hopefully that will help a CTRL-F get to the right spot. Thanks everyone for sharing your opinions with specific concerns, it really helps us a lot!
  21. Thanks for your post, you are absolutely right. I think the "south" bit was meant to distinguish the ladder on that wall versus the door (leading to the chest you unlock after the flag), but it was unclear. I've revised it to say "On the east side of the boat, on the wall leading to the upper deck, you will find another ladder." You have been credited! Incidentally, I'd love a small (less than 700 pixels in width) low detail post of the ship, or different relevant areas of the ship, if anyone would like to do some. Please post in a new topic if you are able to do that!
  22. Ok I did my best, hopefully it will suffice. "You must have started Biohazard, or currently be doing Plague City."
  23. The guide already does this in the very first sentence of each duel type. It does not say it in the tournaments section, we will add that.
  24. I have hidden most of the above posts as being off-topic. The important issues are: 1. monster attack styles are being worked on for the Bestiary. 2. Contributions from users to nail down these styles are welcome. Please start a separate post (preferably in the Bestiary subforum) if you'd like to help, that would be superb. 3. For the record (off topic), I believe that monster hunting guides are meant for people who need details. If I find such a guide intimidating, that gives me a clue that I'm not at the level to be hunting this monster. 4. Again off-topic, the setups in our monster hunting guides should *always* include alternatives in a list below the pictured setup. If you find a specific guide that does NOT do this, or should be updated due to better equipment being available ... please make a separate post and we will get our Monster Hunting crewbie to handle it ASAP. Changes may also include familiars helpful when fighting that specific monster. I do appreciate the serious thoughtfulness that has gone into each of the posts here. However, I am locking this topic since the original poster's issue has been addressed. If you would like to further "discuss" this issue, as opposed to giving concrete contributions on individual guides so that we can make changes, please post in the Website Discussions forum.
  25. during biohazard you get into West Ardy by using the pigeon feed and the pigeons on the guard tower, then going up the rope by Omart. So ... completing the Biohazard quest is not required, but probably starting it. The equation would at minimum be: if you have started Biohazard, or if you have started but not completed Plague City. I think this is a bit long for a simple spot on the TT guide. To eliminate one critical point, "if you have started Biohazard, or if you have not completed Plague City." and let them find out about starting it by themselves. "You cannot enter if you have completed Plague City without starting Biohazard." ? same thing as above. You are definitely right tho that the current statement is misleading, it bites to show up at the garden and not be able to get in. :( Anyone have a better way of expressing the requirements?
