  1. ONLY the 360 like Gears of War and Halo 2 was ONLY for the xbox and 360? Yeah because there's a big difference between PC and 360 considering they are both made by the same company... Let me clear something up for you. Microsoft makes the 360 Microsoft does not make PCs Microsoft makes an Operating system that runs on a PC. Oh and theres a huge difference between what a computer/PC can do and what the 360 can do. Don't argue, because it's common sense.
  2. Well that may be the problem right there. Since you can't get online go on a computer that can connect to the internet and download avg and burn in to a cd or put it on a flash drive to bring to the non working computers. Install it, update it, scan. If Mcaffee doesn't work without the password, un-install it, it's no good if you can't update it.
  3. Then you need to go into the router's config and click on update firmware. To get into the config type 192.168.1.1 into a web browser that is connected to the router.
  4. If you don't know why it could not be working other than voltages, I'm going to say thank god you are buying a pre-built. When you overclock you need to raise the fsb. On some motherboards when you raise the fsb too high onboard stuff can go temporally until you lower the fsb into working range. This would include sound, lan, usb ect. For instance on my old motherboard my sound would not work over 330fsb so I would need to keep it at 329fsb to use sound. Sorry if I'm coming off as flaming you in the last few posts, I'm not trying to.
  5. The gigahertz war is over. A core 2 duo at 2.8ghz beats a pentium D at 2.8 by a long way. Hell, a 1.8ghz core 2 duo would be a 3ghz pentium. Each core of the core 2 duo would operate at the rated speed, for example, a 1.8ghz duo would have 2 cores working at 1.8ghz each. You can not add them up to get more speed, it doesn't work like that. P.S. You said your usb craps out on your old computer, ever think it's because your computer is overclocked?
  6. If he cleaned his cache and it didn't work, it's not going to work if he does it a second time. Have you tried updating to the latest java? Re-installing java? Scaned for virus and spyware?
  7. Yopu obviously had no idea what you were doing and bought probably the cheapest parts you could find. It sounds to me that you cheaped out on the power supply. How the hell you blow out that many fans? I can honestly say I have never blown out a fan, even using stock fans. That alarm probably turns off in the bios very easily, look under pc health. Now for a tip for your future computer and your old. Why do you want raid so much? Raid doesn't give that much performance anymore. Raptors either. You are much better just getting one large 7200rpm drive. The Western Digital Caviar is very fast.

That's great. I guess I will download it now. Wait... download? I hope your not meaning pirating... That could mean a bunch of things. He could mean download the demo, download through steam, or be one of those people that says download when they go to get anything :P .
  9. Dell computers all have pci slots. It's the graphics ports they sometimes leave out like the AGP or pci-e. Dell would be shooting themselves in the foot if they didn't include atleast 1 pci slot.
  10. Dual core isn't that good imo, I'd go for core 2 duo. Dual core means means a processor with 2 processing cores. A core 2 duo has this. Core 2 duo is a name of a processor.

Bioshock doesn't support real widescreen? I'm running at 1680x1050 without any problems. http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2007/08/21 ... -reported/ http://kotaku.com/gaming/shortscreened/ ... 291697.php I don't know if that's the cause of Adam's problem, but it has that problem Yes, thats one thing that's pissing me off. I just got a 19in widescreen for some awesome gaming and now widescreen on Bioshock is worse than normal screen. I was going to buy the game today and now I'm waiting till they fix this ****. Another thing I read is that you can only install this game twice. After that you need to buy a new copy. So don't reformat your computer more than once or it will cost you $50. There may be a way around this in the future. Anyway, I played the demo and I thought it was amazing. Running on high settings makes it even better. The widescreen support still pisses me off. Just a tip for people with ATI graphics cards is that there is a hotfix on AMD's website that fixes bugs in the game and improves preformance.
  12. Something with low voltage too. Don't get a pentium 4 because they are ovens. The best processor for the least heat would be the AMD Athlon X2 35W or 65W.

I would choose computer tech. I'm currently taking this so, thats why I would pick it. :) Computer programmer would be a good choice too but me personally I could not sit down in a room and just type on a keyboard for hours a day. You may like this so you will need to decide.
  14. Tried it. Thanks for your help anyway. P.S. It shows up in the bios and device manager. My virtual drive using dameon tools will not work either so I'm thinking it may be a driver/ software issue.
  15. It was working for many months before this happened. Please don't try to bs me with the Vista sucks issue.
  16. Oh, people bothered to get one and stand in line for days, but not too many actually kept them. They all sold them on ebay to make a huge profit. I remember reading a news report that they interviewed people in line and asked them about the ps3 and nobody really knew what it could do or what games it had. They were there for a quick buck.
  17. Well I see nothing wrong with it. It will run all games on at least low settings. Don't expect too much better than low, but it will run them. Very good choice going with 2GB of ram.

lol, its not much smaller at all. A few mm taken off here and there. The disc tray is different this time, and the wlan switch is on the top now. No thanks then. I would've overlooked the PSP's slooooooow load times if it was more portable It's 1/3 lighter than the original psp. It has a 2x faster UMD drive, which means faster loading times. It also has something called UMD cache which will also improve loading times. The slim also has double the ram, which improves the speed of everything. Jaziek, check out the playstation website for the the dementions of the new psp. It has more than a "few mm taken off here and there". I would say it greatly improves the psp. The ram boost is greatly needed for web browsing.
  19. Well I'm having some problems with my DVD drive. It's not new, but it just would not show up in my computer one day. I have tried un-installing the drive in device manager and have Windows re-install it, but it did not work. I searched google and it gave me this same advice. I also thought that maybe the driver file was corrupted. So I copied the file from another computer running the same operating system and tried to install it but it said the device driver was up to date and would not install the new one. I am running Vista 64-bit.
  20. Well it not scary for me but I'm 16. For a 12 year old I would say yes.
  21. Cursor XP is a legit program that contains no ad-aware or viruses. That's if you downloaded the program from the official Stardock site. Download Ad-aware and Spybot, update the definitions then scan. Both prgrams are free. Then post a hijackthis log after you scan with the above programs.
  22. I disagree. I have a HP printer which my Mom just bought for like $140. It prints out amazing photos which you would never be able to tell the difference between one of them and a professional print, if your using the right paper. Maybe you need to do an alignment check and clear the printing heads? One thing I would b*tch about is how slow the printing takes. It can take over 2 minutes to print 1 photo. Trying to copy a photo directly from the scanner is even longer. The ink isn't too bad but it does run out fast when printing in photo quality, just like all the others. The HP ink is cheaper than the rest which is good. You can get 2 black and 1 collor cartridge for like $30 at a wholesale place (BJs, Costco)
  23. Ok, this is going on the little knowledge on tvs I have. Is the tv a plasma, lcd or a tube (big) tv? I believe the lcd and plasmas only support P resolutions and the tube tvs only support I resolution. It's how the picture is rendered, nothing to do with quality. Try and set it to the correct render.
  24. I highly don't recommend that. 128bit WEP is weak enough but 64bit is even worse. Anybody that can use google can crack a 64bit WEP key in under 3mins, on 128bit it will take probably 10minutes. The best security would be to change to WPA or WPA2, but some older wireless devices don't support it. You would need to be pretty important for somebody to crack a password in WPA.
  25. AOL TOOLBAR 2.0. Theres a difference between the two.
