Project Falcon - The new generation of Xbox 360's
The ps3 and the 360 have completely different cooling systems. I believe the ps3 uses a copper heatpipe system to dissipate the heat through the whole system (which would require less fans) while the 360 uses the traditional heatsink on the chip with fans. Even with the shrink I don't think it would get quieter, it will probably use the same fans but run a lot cooler and have zero overheating. I doubt Microsoft will cut the price too much, if at all after this. For one, the R&D (research and development) to design a smaller chip costs a lot of money. Although the gpu chip costs more than the cpu so that may impact the price. For the first few months I think it will be the same price then it will drop down $50 or so. Hey the 360 may not get smaller but since the heat will not be an issue, Microsoft may try to design a 360 with an integrated power supply.

adding font to computer
A zip file is a compressed folder with the font file inside of it. You will need to extract it. If your on XP or Vista, they both have a built in extractor or you can use the program Winrar.

Help with overclocking and RAM.
Stable for 10m minutes is nothing. If it crashes even before 12hours it is not stable. Are you sure thats 46c for the processor at full load? Download a program called Intel TAT which will tell you what your really temps are, you will be surprised. The only way to have a 46c full load temp is to be on chilled water. BTW I also have a Core 2 duo (@ 3.1ghz) with a very good heatsink and it's at 65c under full load with TAT (using TATs full load feature). Which is a good temp because thats the maximum it could ever reach because that program simulates the maximum heat, which a real world program will not come close to.

Playing Halo 2 on my computer, ROMS, Emus, and .iso files
Well I believe there is an Xbox emulator but is no where near full speed so it will be choppy. I believe the new generation emulators (like the ps2 and xbox) can be played by you just putting the disk into your dvd drive. Newer systems don't use roms anymore, roms were for cartridge based games. .iso is used for any game on a cd/dvd now. An iso file is just an exact image of the original disk, which you could even get yourself from the original disk. I agree with Nadril if you want to play Halo so much, buy it for the computer or just play it on the xbox.

Does your school have this?
My school has that to remotely manage computers but thats about it. No teacher can use it since they need the admin password. I have used it and it's kinda cool :) . I have the admin pass legally before anybody makes the assumption.

Some iPod questions (80gig classic)
2. Is it with this one video? Have you tried any other videos and have they worked fine? That one video may be corrupt, try re-downloading it.

Help with overclocking and RAM.
An overclocked computer can be on 24/7 and be fine. If the computer can take the heat it will be fine. I don't consider it a stable overclock if you can not run it 24/7 without problems. Although you should shut your computer at night for over reasons, such as saving electricity.

Help with overclocking and RAM.
Aluminum one. It has thermal gel applied though. Well aluminum is fine for your overclock. If you want a cheap and effective way to reduce temps, get some new thermal paste. Arctic silver 5 is the best out there and it's like $6. Some people may argue that arctic C̮̩̉̉ramique is the best, but I don't see a difference. They are made by the same company and are about the same price.

New computer - comments?
Thats a new bashing I have not heard of before. Vista is not bad, have you used it within the last 2 months? If not, don't say anything (this implies to all you vista bashing people). Grr... I hate having to repair quotes... blade995, have you tried changing out hardware parts constantly (like 1 every 20 days because you forgot to upgrade something and ran into trouble) in an attempt to better your computer? If not, don't argue with me, seeing as I've had to read the horror stories. Further, Microsoft has stipulated in their most recent EULAs and through their lawyers that you can't change any hardware or the PC that Vista was installed on is no longer the PC that Vista is supposed to be on. BTW, that triggers the re-activation procedures. (And right there is the reason I don't get near Vista. MicroSoft's activation scheme, which also tries to control the hardware you use. Can't even change the damn mouse. -.- ...) Now, I've shown the point. Like I said, Vista doesn't like hardware enthusiasts. <*Punches out blade995 and walks off.*> ~Mr. Devnull Listen here, I can argue with you, I do change out my hardware. You have no clue how the hardware activation works in Vista do you? Vista uses 10 hardware hashes. When you start the computer it checks against these hashes and sees if you have changed any hardware recently, if you have more than 5 different than from the install it triggers it. When I talk about changing hardware that does not include overclocking of anything because that will trigger nothing, it' does not check clock speed when hashing (because most modern cpus will downclock to save power). The only thing that will really trigger the activation is if you change out the motherboard (which counts as a new computer under OEM XP AND Vista's EULA). I know all about Vista, don't argue with me if you don't know what your talking about. If your talking about using a software program to overclock the graphics card in 64bit than thats a whole different story which I could go on forever about. Which is not really Vista's fault, it's more of the architecture of the 64bit instruction sets. <*Punches out D_V_Devnull and walks off.*>

Help with overclocking and RAM.
A few words of advice: When you overclock the ram, you can go probably high and raise the voltage to 2.8v and be perfectly fine. Maybe even higher up to 3.0v Since your using a prescott chip the 58c is not a bad temperature at all. Although, that is playing a game and not at a "true" full load like a prime test will do. Test out your temperatures with Speedfan because motherboard monitor is not being updated anymore so your motherboard may not be fully supported and giving incorrect readings. Which you should hope so because your power supply voltages are bad.

Help with overclocking and RAM.
The slower memory is defently holding your other stick back. I would suggest getting more ram that is equal speed with your faster stick. If you can't do this, then leave it in because more ram is better than speed, providing that you can use a divider to cget the memory to a stable clock. The overclock looks good, I'm sure you could go higher. You may need a better cooler but since your chip is only a Celeron, it's not worth it. Check to see if it's 100% with the program called "Prime95". To check your temperatures use the program "Speedfan". Use it while prime95 is running to stimulate maximum heat and load.

Counterstrike Ques.
The school probably did pay for it. It may be extreme irony but it's possible. If not, a kid may have installed a copy he bought on a lot of the school computers or he used a crack. The game is not free, you need to buy it, so don't be complaining.

Can I retain the customizations I have on XP in Vista?
Vista isn't that bad. =P~ I'll echo skatedog Never said it was bad, there's no doubt it's a good OS. But, in my opinion it's nothing that's worth the resources it uses. Would have been good if you gave that opinion in your first post. Your first post made you sound like an ignorant idiot (no offense).

Who's your candidate for the 08 presiential elections?
I would like Obama for my first choice then Ron Paul. Seriously, if Giuliani or Hilary became the president, I would be moving out of the United States. For one giuliani is using 9/11 for votes, which is not cool. Hilary is saying anything to please the crowd, she is never consistent with what she says.

^^^^ Yes the good old alt codes still work in Vista (just checked). You can also use the character map. Go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > character maps.

I Need more help. Graphics Card help plz.
Read the wiki the above poster posted. You can tell by the color, pci slots are white and you should have a slot just above them a different color (usually a brownish).

Can I retain the customizations I have on XP in Vista?
Actually, this is going to be on a completely new machine, and I want vista for it's dx10. These are like skins and stuff, and I'm not sure if they're compatible with Vista (Like the uxtheme patcher so I don't have to buy blinds) Oh you mean the crack for "free" Windows blinds? The first thing is, don't say that out loud  .The same exact patch may not work with Vista but there are plenty more that will and do. *cough* Because I'm using one with Vista Home Premium*cough*

360 vs 360 Elite
The falcon technology is not a good deciding factor of buying the 360 just on that. It will not have any performance gains,. It will just be a dye shrink from 90nm to 65nm which would mean it runs cooler and uses less power, hardly something to wait up for. I don't think it's out for any version yet (please correct me if I'm wrong, would love to know). I do know it's not out for the regular premiums yet. The new 360's with the HDMI port have better heatsinks for the cpu and gpu which should solve all red ring of death problems. Oh, I don't know if you meant that it will not come out for other versions or not, it would obviously have to. The dye shrink will make the 360 cheaper to produce for Microsoft, so why wouldn't they try to save more money?

IP Adress already in use... =[
Well all your computers and routers have the same IP adress cause you have the same network. Just use a proxy or you can use a IP changer, search it up on google. He shouldn't have to use a proxy to get on a normal website from his home internet connection. That's just going around the problem and not fixing it. Unplug your modem and router from the power source over night (may need to for 24hours). Then plug them back in and you should have a new IP adress if you have a dynamic IP from your ISP.

Can I safely add another 512mb of RAM?
The confusion is more based on hard drive and flash memory manufacturers. They count a GB as a 1000MBs so that it seems that your getting more storage than your actually getting because the OS uses the binary system (explained above).

hijackthis logfile
The thing with him snapping at you , which I don't even think he did, is if you don't quite know what your talking about with logs and you say the wrong file and the poster deletes his computer could be seriously screwed up. The tests you said you were going to run it through, would this include http://www.hijackthis.de ? That site can be helpful but it can also give false positives or not pickup some nasties.
