It could be a semi-smart hacker disguising his program as notepad so people would never come across it as suspicious. Or it may be nothing and the program is just written in caps.

Help me find...
Why do you need to fill these slots up? Is having 2 free slots bad? Anyway I don't know much about fans but you could put a draw there. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811999142

Keylogging problem, all my fault.
Be careful what you download. Some antivirus programs are viruses themselves. You should only have 1 active antivirus scanner. If you have more than that there might be conflicts and make your protection worse.

Keylogging problem, all my fault.
Download Ad-aware 2007 and Spybot. Both are free. Update the definitions and scan. Both programs will get everything AVG missed. If you really want to be safe afterwards you can post a hijackthis log. P.S. The hacker could change you IP address, but not easily and I don't know why he would want to. Most change on their own anyway.

iPhone Unlocked
Sorry to shoot down your dream but it still wont happen. Sprint/Nextel, and Verizon use a different network than the rest such as T-mobile, and AT&T. Even if it was unlocked. AT&T is on a long contract to be the sole distributer of iphones for many years to come. I think this is awesome, I realy hope the unlocking process is simple so I can get one and use it with T-mobile :) .

Laptop overheating?
The lifespan really doesn't matter.By the time the part is ready to die it will be obsolete and you will probably have something new by then. Running a computer for 2 years straight never turning it off would still only be 17520 hours. Would be nice if you included the information on what each color meant on the chart. Again, the overclockers site would be overclocking a desktop, laptops are built to withstand more heat, and run at higher temps which is a fact. Which means if they are built to withstand and operate at higher heat levels means that their lifespan is greater than the desktop part at the same heat levels. Which is why they are slightly more expensive. All temps from the cpu are measured on the dye, just because the cpu is running at that temp doesn't mean the whole computer is. The heatsinks in laptops are usually fully copper(sometimes aluminum for a lighter laptop) and are huge to dissipate all the heat. On your computer that you said it died at 50C you may be looking at the northbridge temp. When the chipset gets into the 50s you will have problems, except if you have a p965, those things are ovens.

New Ipod?
Maybe you saw the iphone? This may not be it either, did anybody read the article? I hope this is it, but I'm just not getting my hopes up. The article is dated in 2006 too.

Building a Compter? $600-$800 USD Range.
Thats whats killing my computer too. My graphics card is fast enough (x1950XT) but doesn't have the 512MBs of ram. It's terrable because all newer games will require it for high detail. Anyway, I read yesterday that Sparkle is coming out with a 8600GTS with 512mbs of ram. I don't know how much it is, but I'm sure it can't be more than $20 over what the other cards are.

Laptop overheating?
If something failed at 45c then it wasn't from heat. It was probably something else. When I say their not hot I mean the processors can function and work just as fast working at that temperature, with nothing to worry about. I don't know how old of a computer you are talking about but cpus I have used all have a lot higher thresholds. I talking about Pentium 3s and newer. Processors can run just as fast at 50C than they can at 30C. When they get up higher (desktop pcs) like into the 80s then they start to underclock themselves to stop anymore heat. They will still not be damaged. For a laptop since they can't be built for the best airflow the mobile processors are built to withstand and operate at higher heat. For example a Core2 duo desktop could idle at 35C while a laptop could idle at 50C which are both normal. You can never compare heat of a desktop to a laptop, it's different hardware.

Laptop overheating?
Please stop giving inaccurate information. I know he fixed the problem but a computer running at 50c under load is not hot, even for a desktop. Laptops can run up to 80c under normal operation since the processors are built to stand more heat.

Laptop overheating?
He wont need to un-install them to keep them from starting up at startup. All he has to do is go to start > run > type in "msconfig" > click the start up tab. Uncheck unnecessary programs like quicktime, messenger, power dvd, abode reader, and aim. They all can be started again when you need to use them. The only program which is a resource hog is Bigfix which I recommend uninstalling if you have automatic updates turned on. Looking at the log quickly I don't see anything nasty. What programs did you use to scan for spyware? Use Ad-aware, spybot, and avg if you don't have a virus scanner. Update the definitions before scanning. All the programs are free. To see if it's overheating download the program Speedfan and write down your temps when you have not been doing anything on the laptop (idle). Then during a heaving program making the computer under load write down the temps then. A graphics intense game would get the most load and heat.

Laptop overheating?
I would recommend the installer. With this is will create it's own folder which will keep your backups instead of people running the executable and seeing a folder called backup and just delete it. Then if you ever need to revert anything back, your ****ed.

32 or 64 bit?
People who suggest or pick a 32bit OS aren't wrong, they have reasons just for 32bit just like people have reasons for 64bit. 64bit OSes are getting more mature everyday but the software and drivers for all products are still not there. Most hardware today will have 64bit drivers but not all will and then you will have problems. All modern hardware today has 32bit drivers so it's a safe bet with Vista 32bit that everything will work correctly.

The ps3 will come out on top acording to gamespot.
What Sony needs to start doing fast is to cater to it's customers. What they are doing with the ps3 is relying on all the people that a ps2 to buy a ps3. They need to have some innovation, something like Ninendo is doing which is selling the most consoles so far. Anybody is biasness can tell you that you can't rely of customers to buy your product no matter what it does, you always need to bring something new to the table, and blueray is not the new I'm talking about.

Clearance sale, price drop. Same story. You can get it cheaper. And when there is a new version it will be available for less money after some time as well. And when you can buy it for less money more people will buy it. So the story remains the same. It's logical that they're not releasing their new version inmidetialy with a price drop for it. It's just a matter of time. Microsoft didn't do that with their Elite either. The thing with the 360 Elite is that it has more fetures, including a 120gb hard drive, hdmi port, and a few other things. It is worth the extra cash over the premium. It has dropped in price since release, $30. What Sony is doing on the other hand is dropping the 60GB model and releasing an 80GB for $600 with the only thing changed is more hard drive space which cost them maybe $1 more. Theres also a rumor going around that they are now using software emulation for ps1/2 which if true, would save them money and cost them less money to make than the 60GB.

Building a Compter? $600-$800 USD Range.
Same questions I have. my PC cost right around the $800 mark (with OS included). Well I was going to post a suggested parts list but it would be easier if you would just post your system specs Nadril :) .

Websites attempting to block Firefox because of ad-blocking
Ditto, their ignorance is making them lose more money this way. If you block 20% of users (Firefox's market share) then thats 20% less people that will go to your site. They will not view your ads, which not everybody has that extension installed, but it will generate more traffic that will be good to show to potential advertisers. They should block IE7 too, there is an add-on that can block ads in that too  . They should just block everybody, that will show people to not block ads.

Well first question I'm going to ask is this. Do you need a new monitor? Can you re-use your cd/dvd drives, and case?

spliting my drives
If it's working, it's fine. The hard drive supposedly is suppose to be atleast 40GB for Vista, and yours is above that, so it's good.

halo worth buying xbox for?
ONLY the 360 like Gears of War and Halo 2 was ONLY for the xbox and 360? Yeah because there's a big difference between PC and 360 considering they are both made by the same company... Let me clear something up for you. Microsoft makes the 360 Microsoft does not make PCs Microsoft makes an Operating system that runs on a PC. Oh and theres a huge difference between what a computer/PC can do and what the 360 can do. Don't argue, because it's common sense. Urr let me clear something up, Microsoft makes the operating system yes, so a PC game is made to run on Windows, made by microsoft, therefore any PC game is made for microsoft. And don't argue that it's made to run on the Pc because it isn't, why do you think you can't run Windows games on Macs, the operating system.. Yes most games are made to run on Windows because of direct X but that doesn't mean Microsoft makes the games. Well duh you can't run Windows games on Macs, same with software. Just like you can't run Mac software on the PC. Which can be argued because Macs can run some games that Windows can, such as Doom3, and Quake4 but those are written in OpenGL.

spliting my drives
Yeah because a flash drive can backup a whole hard drive. A cd or dvd can do it too  . He would not bring a virus with him unless he copied the system files which is where viruses usually install to. To the OP the only reason I can think of that can be causing the limit on the shrink is Vista is reserving space for other things. Such as reserving 10% of the drive for the recycle bin, page file (stated in picture). Another thing is I think Vista requires 40GB minimum in the system requirements.

Runescape Home page not loading!
If he can't get onto the runescape homepage it's not his java. The homepage is not written in java, only the game is. Hava you tried disabling your firewall? Maybe your parents blocked the runescape home page since you were playing too much? (it could happen)

spliting my drives
Ok, this should help a little bit. Select the drive you want to partition. Shrink do the left over space is what you want your new partition to be. After doing that you will see unlocated space, right click and click create. Format it as NTFS or FAT32 if using an older operating system (win9x or earlier). Hope that helps.

spliting my drives
You can do this easily with the program partition magic. Or if your running Windows Vista it has it's own partitioner. Right click my computer > Manage > Disk management.

Bioshock
Bioshock itself doesn't install a rootkit. It's the copy protection SecureRom does, which you need to run Bioshock. It's not a "true" rootkit either, it's not suppose to be malicious compared to other rootkits (sony anybody?) like in creating a backdor.
