It's ok, I think it's just a glorified mod of BF2. There's still a lot of bugs in the game and the conection issues are still present from BF2. I thought they would have learned from their last games to FIX THE DAMN BUGS, but I guess not. The vehicles suck or are too powerful. The engineer kit is decent, but to take out a vehicle you need 4-5 rockets. Don't get me started on the sniper and medic kit. I will not be buying this game till they work out the rest of the issues with it. It will be Quake Wars for me.

Well I have this old game I found that I would like to play again. For the operating system it suggests is Windows 95/95/ME. If I remember correctly when I use to play this a couple years ago on Windows 98 it worked perfectly. When I try to load the game I get an error that says "this program has encountered a problem and error and needs to close." Is there anything I can do to make this game work under windows XP? I have downloaded a patch on the website but it's from the year 2000 so it didn't make any difference.

I just tried it with IE7 (RC1) and you still get that delay.

Thanks for bumping up a dead post. Anywase, your problem is just as the message stated, the file was created by a newer version. Download the newest version off http://www.apple.com so that file can be read again. To uninstall something you NEVER just delete all the program files, always use the add-remove program window. Oh, and Itunes 7.0.1 came out which fixes (almost) all the bugs 7.0 had. :)

I personally wouldn't use a stress test made by the same company that manufactured my card. If my GeForce4 mysteriously scored off the charts, and it was an NVIDIA stress test, I wouldn't be surprise. Also, don't OC a videocard. It's not worth the reduced life expectancy, and it kills any warantee you might have had. ATITool is not made by ATI :wink: .

Prime95 is the best program to stress the cpu and ram. It's free too so just Google for the link. If you need to stress the graphics card and it's made by ATI you can download ATITool, it's also free and will overclock the graphics card and/or stress test it.

IST! (Information Systems Technology AKA computers) This class is the best class, we learn so much. Unlike last year when all we learned the whole year was how to use Windows and [some] of Linux. This year were going to be learning html a little bit then go into C#. I have a feeling people are going to fall behind since thats the first "real" coding language they teach. Yes I am in high school if anybody is wondering. My school is a tech school so we can take a trade. So I have regular classes one week and the other I have my trade (computers) for the whole day :) . Or if you want a normal class it would have to be English. Which is kind of ironic because I can't spell or use correct grammar :? .

I ran Sisoft Sandra 2007 test today and it told me that I could increase performance if I did the following. I just don't know how to enable these things :? . For the block size error I checked the bios and I don't see anything for it. Is this setting maybe under a different name?

Actually, this is a totally different computer. It is a Dell XPS not a dimension 5100. It may look about the same, but it isn't. Well, thanks for your help everyone, I just placed the order. I know the video card sucks, but that is the best i can afford. The best you could afford? You could spend the same amount of money and get a very good graphics card if you built it yourself.

I think you could build it for cheaper getting parts from http://www.newegg.com (if you live in the US). For the money you save you could get a decent graphics card. Other than the bad graphics card and the price, it's a very good computer that would last you along time.

That should make everything nice and new again :) . Make sure you download the drivers you need for your hardware. Install Ad-aware and Spybot S&D for spyware scanners if you haven't already.

What did you just go looking for a thead to call someone a nerd in? This post is 6 days old, it's dead, you had nothing usefull to contribute so you shouldn't have posted at all. Your calling people nerds but in this thead here you suggested newegg for computer stuff, so I can call you a nerd too, NERD! For people who work in the computer field that make a lot of money and need the data off a non working hard drive this is a solution. Not just something you do in your free time because your bored.

The new Itunes 7.0 came out about 3 days ago and thats one of the known bugs. You have two options: wait a couple of days to a week for a fix or try to find Itunes 6 to install.

How would setting this to 200mb fix anything if she didn't have enough with 346mb?

Thats untrue, nothing bad will happen. If you have more than what you need it simply will not be used. You are suppose to base it off of the physical memory you have. For 1gb (yes i know he has 768mb) your suppose to have 1500 (or so i have read) so its better to have more than enough. I currently have mine set to 2000 with 1gb of ram and it never uses that much, nothing has ever happend.
