  1. No one has time to get to know each person individually. Stereotypes are quick and simple. It's not going to change.

  3. Dave Gorman I also watch Friday Night with Jonathon Ross :D
  4. Hey Blue Tear!! Bubsa, hahaha >.< As to the topic.. I log in from time to time just to make sure that Jagex doesn't delete my account.
  5. You're right, it is sad when practical considerations are taken into account before pure feelings.
  6. They'll probably just be happy that their son is dating someone. I'd say it's harder for a guy meeting his gf's parents.
  7. I understand what you mean by being moved more by accounts of real events than by fiction. I find the same thing when watching movies. Though I still get caught up in fiction, just less so. My favourite book? Probably Nineteen Eighty-Four. Very powerful, read at a young age also, so didn't know what I was letting myself in for (so many people quote it that probably have never read it - and it just ruins it for new readers), and I ended up being blown away.
  8. I bet you 10 bucks they decide to go to jail rather than pay the fine...
  9. record it then watch yourself :)
  10. I cannot see this benefitting consumers. Neutrality is a right concept that should be upheld - just like freedom of speech. Once a company is allowed to charge extra for providing priority bandwidth to websites that can afford it, there will be no incentive to make data transfer better for sites that do not pay, in fact the incentive will be to make non-paying sites as slow as possible, to force more of them to pay. The free sites we know and love (such as this one) will either be slow, or they'll be forced to find ways to generate serious revenue.
  11. Though I am not versed in the legal proceedings of death penalty cases, I expect that the various appeals which are available are there to ensure that a person is not convicted and killed for a crime that was not committed by them. Killing innocent people is not "humane".
  12. I'm sorry for you and your family Sluggy :(
  13. "ic" and "o" If someone says one of them to me, I just construe it as "screw off, I don't care and cannot even be bothered to type it out properly".
  14. http://www.reprieve.org.uk/resources_ar ... july05.htm Article about a paedophile, Ricky Langley - from the perspective that no one is inherently "evil", written by his lawyer Clive Stafford Smith
  15. Oh goodness, I hope it wasn't him, I planned to die without ever seeing a guy on tip.it wearing a thong
  16. Good luck, sounds like you're doing a good thing! I think you "faint".
  17. Homosexuals are discriminated against all the time where I live, in conversation. I'd say that's where the most random unwarranted discrimination is at the moment. A lot of people do it without thinking about it, when they say things like "that's gay" for instance - as if the word "gay" is synonymous with "bad"
  18. Sorry dude, no real life pics allowed here, better edit them out pronto Welcome though :) Tell us more about you instead :D
  19. Hahaha Dru, I thought your post was in support of killing animals for food, until I read this and realised your sarcasm Nice one ;) :D
  20. mmm, I agree with Necro. What is life, if not a succession of problems that need solving? Even playing computer games, it's just figuring out a problem and then moving onto the next one. Some problems are just perceived as more 'negative' than others.
  21. In an ideal world, we wouldn't force animals to undergo the suffering of being bred to be killed, for sport or for food. So, yes, I believe that animals should have rights, the right to life being one of them. I think that since most people do not see where their food comes from, it's easy for us to become detached from the reality of the situation. However, threaten to bash someone's pet cat with a hammer, and they suddenly remember about the rights of their beloved furry friend.
  22. Very cool site. I did my bit for the Scottish flag in the bottom right edge, since it was the nearest to an english flag that I could see.
  23. This is of course part of the reason why petitions are so weak, even if they have a lot of signatures. Few people know what they are signing :( I advise everyone to read what they sign, and that doesn't just apply to petitions! Haha :x Me too! :D
